We stayed 3 nights here. Great hotel for the price. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from both beaches and the area where you take the long-tail boats to island tours. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of Thai and western options (including some vegan options both hot and cold). Our room was excellent with a good powerful shower, comfortable bed and nice balcony. We would be happy to stay here again if we were in the area. Swimming pool is good and has an excellent view.

Although the hotel is very nice, it is still a "mid-range" hotel for the area I would say so do not expect perfection.

Staying at Paksai was totally fine. Nothing reall, sticks out to being special or even superior to other place, but there are also not great things to criticise. Although the room is generally fine, it definitively has seen better days. When we arrived the room smelt and the sheets had, seemingly blood, stains on it. But the next day it was better. The pool is okay but not great. The breakfast is tasty but definetly not the best I've ever had Pretty good is the location. You have a 7-Eleven in front of the hotel and a super nice restaurant is right around the corner. But all in all just a mediocre experience.

Dirty & smelly room when we arrived Loud and hard to control AC Hotel has seen better days

Spacious room at affordable price (it was low peak season). Location was awesome (but this is not a sea facing hotel). 7 eleven just across the lobby and just 5 mins walk to aonang beach which is just opposite to a street full of restaurants, shops, massage centres etc. I would say location is the strong point for this hotel. 😀

We didn't have any issues with the hotel as we already knew that they did not serve halal food for breakfast & that there was no elevators in the hotel. But just as a heads up to those looking to stay here, it is not a friendly hotel for guests with mobility issues as there are no lifts & the path to some of the rooms are quite steep (like a mini trek). We chose to stay at the premier room as it's in the same building as main lobby so our room was not far & wifi signal was great.

We absolutely loved the immersion in nature. We saw monkeys (the kind that don’t steal your food) in the trees at the resort’s breakfast and heard the sounds of cicadas sitting on our porch at night. We truly loved how peaceful the resort was, yet still walking distance to catch boat trips from ao nang beach. We also sincerely appreciated the dedication to environmental conservation which was evident in everything from the refillable water provided to the cotton swabs in a jar rather than wrapped in plastic.

We initially booked a premiere room, but we requested to downgrade to a more standard room. The premiere rooms very super modern and well furnished, but they were all located closest to the street and we could hear street noise and motor bikes from our balcony instead of the sounds of nature. I would definitely recommend staying at the pakasai resort, just avoid the premiere rooms and either upgrade or downgrade so you are nestled in nature.

The resort is in a great location, very quiet and peaceful, and the gardens are beautiful. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner twice and once for lunch by the pool and all meals were excellent, among the best we had in Thailand. The prices for food and drinks was very reasonable and there was a happy hour at the pool bar from 3-5pm with cocktails at 2 for 200 baht. The pool area was lovely with plenty of beds and loungers. The pool was shallow and was never too busy. There was a handy 7-11 opposite the hotel. The beach was a 5 min walk - the one to the left was busy, with lots of shops and bars etc, the one to the right was almost empty and a lot more relaxed. There was a lot of wildlife to see around the grounds - I met a monitor lizard one morning. At sunset every evening bats swooped around our courtyard seating area which was amazing to see. Others have mentioned wasps and ants and I can only assume that these are seasonal and more likely to be a problem in the summer months- we didn’t see any. The breakfast buffet was very good with a large range of western and Thai dishes. The hotel was full but there seemed to be enough seating. We used the spa - again, lovely staff and great service. Overall, a very relaxing stay.

Unfortunately the hotel didn’t have any record of our booking via booking.com. I had booked a honeymoon chalet (which had a balcony and views ) as it was the last room available - thankfully not because it was my honeymoon otherwise I would have been very disappointed. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite and it was very nice but it was dark with no natural light and instead of a balcony there was an enclosed courtyard with a large round bath. However, it was very convenient for the pool, restaurant etc. which we appreciated once we realised how large the resort is! I think the hotel handled the situation well and I was happy with the outcome.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating for anything that we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and all amenities were clean. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the beach with a 7 Elven 1 minute from the lobby entrance.

The only thing that could be a downside was the lack of accessibility of the rooms, rooms located further back require quite a bit of walking up hills to reach with no lifts or escalators. Buildings such as 10,11,12 are easier to reach without a lot of physical work but still don’t have access to a lift.

The room was lovely (great AC), the pool area is nice with comfy sun beds. The staff greeted us all the time and helped out where possible with questions and queries. The bar staff at the pool came round to order drinks and you left your pool towel at the bar so new ones were delivered every day (throughout the day) and smelt wonderful. Breakfast was nice also.

The room didn't have a view and without all the lights on meant the room was very dark. This was because the room we chose had an outdoor bath so there were concrete walls and a roof covering it with no others windows. The pool doesn't have chlorine in it but was a nice temperature. When it's been raining the sunbeds were soaking wet so even with a towel on the towel just soaked up the water making it difficult to lie by the pool on an overcast day. The view from the resort isn't very nice as it's over a road with electric wires everywhere, and the noise from the cars isn't very relaxing.

The grounds of the hotel are fabulous, it’s like being amongst a jungle. The pool is great and very nice to look at. The room had a beautiful layout and the terrace was nice. The breakfast spread is fantastic and the restaurant where you eat breakfast is by a beautiful waterfall. It’s a very picturesque hotel and worth staying at! On reflection next time I would have taken the ground level rooms with the hot tub and terrace as it can be quite a climb if you have a room higher up!

I felt that despite the layout of the room being fantastic, it all felt a little outdated and dusty. The linen and towels etc didn’t smell freshly washed, or at least not with a nice smelling detergent. The canopy over the bed (we had the honeymoon suite) felt and appeared dusty. We didn’t even find the slippers provided until we left! The bathroom was a bit outdated and could do with a new bath being fitted. There also were not many toiletries provided in terms of shower gel (our one by the bath was empty on arrival) or toothpaste, hair conditioner etc and only given 1 toilet roll….

Very nice, spacious rooms, with great cleanliness. Everything looks like the online advertisement. You also notice that the ressort takes steps to be as environmentally friendly as possible, limiting waste. The location in Ao Nang is great, trips, stores and the night market are in walking distance and a 7-11 is right next to the property. Everything, including „public“ toilets and the pool are perfectly clean and houskeeping is doing a very good job. Overall a pleasant stay. The restaurant, while being on the more pricy side is very good.

The breakfast buffet was very average, not bad by any means but also far from outstanding. However its undeniably convenient. Additionally the staffs English was, even for Thailand, rather poor which made communication hard at times. Nothing that can‘t be managed tho. Finally the courtains smelled a little funny (my girlfriend says they didn‘t but I believe they did).

Pakasai resort were kind enough to upgrade our rooms so that my family could be closer together. The room was perfect with enough space and the bed was the most comfortable me and my husband have ever slept on. The pillows were so soft and the air con worked great to keep us cool. The pool area was big and had lots of different style of seating and it was great to have some seating under cover for when the rain set in. There is a bar at the pool and you can order food. There was a dining area downstairs near the entrane which was great for just chilling, reading and enjoying a drink if it rained etc. Staff were so beautiful and friendly and lastly the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and main area od shops, restaurants, massage places etc.

The first day that we had breakfast they seemed to run out of food very quickly however they soon realised and on every other day there was more than enough food for everyone.
