Excellent location, great staff, fantastic breakfast included, beach and pool towels provided. They gave us a slightly later checkout even tho they were fully booked. Good value for money! Great beach in front and walking distance to restaurants, shops, 7 Eleven etc. staff always happy to assist as much as they can.

It’s a little run down. The first room we were in had a lot of mosquitoes on the balcony and in the room making it very uncomfortable. Understand that this is the tropics but nowhere else we stayed had this level of a mosquito problem. The staff kindly changed our room but this new room had water coming into the room thru the electrical socket when it rained. Also the shower glass needs resealing as it flooded the bathroom floor whenever we had a shower.

It was our 2nd time at Kokotel, first time we were with the kids in 2022. And I can honestly say things have improved and our stay was wonderful. I do not understand why some reviews argue about the quality of breakfast, cannot see what could be improved there as they have what you find in 90% of hotels. The rooms are clean, the ladies come and clean them everyday. The staff is amazing - thank you Nan for being such a nice person and making our kids feel great! The hotel is right on the beach - which is actually very clean compared to the one next to it, for kids it is an ideal location. You are walking distance from a number of very good restaurants and shops. Perhaps not all rooms are great but for us both this time and two years ago we had very good and comfortable rooms. So we truly recommend this hotel, especially given its price range.

The bed was the best! The bedding/linens were clean, crisp and new! The mattress pad was exceptionally comfy! Loved the pool and the ocean view. Breakfast was hot and enough for 2 people. Also, thank you for providing us with a bag of rice for my husband's phone after the long day of traveling in the pouring rain.

There was a BIG cockroach in our shower! Sorry, I really didn't want to mention it, but, eek, I really don't like bugs in my hotel room! Also the emeegency flash light didn't work. In an emergency.... we would have been in the dark.

Direct access to the beach. Although the restaurant was separate from the main hotel, it was very nice to eat breakfast with a view of the ocean. We chose a room with direct access to the pool which was very convenient. The staff were friendly.

Although the hotel was close to the beach, it was quite a walk to the shops and main road. One of my reasons for choosing this place was the polished concrete finish in the room but my partner did not like it. Not to everyone's taste. The chlorine level in the pool was excessive.

Great location, near the beach, good restaurants nearby. Short walk to main strip for more shopping. Staff are lovely and so helpful. Room was modern in design. Comfortable beds, fridge, nice showers. Everything worked as it should, tv and aircon etc. The swimming pool is fab and never crowded. Beach at your doorstep, loungers to the left. Great walk along the beach and to the lighthouse. The breakfast is functional. Fresh fruit, toast, cereal, and a rotation of both Asian and western dishes available each morning. I really liked our stay here.

I loved the location and value for money so much I came back for another stay. :)

Firstly the staff were faultless - so happy to help and they sorted me out aa very early taxi when I had to leave with no fuss. They were all so lovely, always smiling and wanting to help. A stone's throw from the beach, a simple but tasty breakfast buffet. The water filling stations are genius - I saved a lot of money on not buying bottled water every day. I got upgraded for free to one of the family rooms which allowed me ground-floor access to sunbathe which I was so grateful for and not expecting, thank you! Rooms were clean and huge , beds soooooo comfy. Second time Ive been here and will definitely come back.

Literally nothing

I like that this hotel is trying to be more environmentally friendly with recycle bins, water dispensers instead of plastic bottles etc. I think more hotels should do the same. The room was large, comfortable and cleaned well every day. Internet worked well & there was a good choice of TV channels & smart TV apps. Location is good, right on the beach with a surf spot out front & you can hire boards if you are lucky enough to get waves.

Breakfast was okay, nothing special with some odd choices of food. Air conditioning was a bit noisy.

Nice location and the rooms was spacious with adequate amenities, with free water you can refill yourself from the halls and coffee. the beach was good and there was many sunbeds, so even though some people was reserving even though they where not there it was not really an issue. The pool area was fine as well but mostly suited for children and families. You could buy drinks and beer from the bar at the beach site, but it was also not a problem to bring your own beverages.

Only issue I found was our room was very damp.

Nice, clean, good size room, comfy beds. Great beach with free sun beds! The water dispenser and glass bottles are a great thing, no need to carry plastic bottles from the shop.

I wish there were hand towels in the room automatically and not just by asking. Also a rack to hang towels/clothes to dry would be good, now there is only one rod in the bathroom. AC was a bit too loud and rooms are not sound proof: we heard every conversation from the next door...

Hotel room had a cool modern style, staff were friendly, great location next to the beach with several shops and restaurants within walking distance. Taxis are always hanging about so it’s not difficult to get anywhere.

Unfortunately no lift so if you’re on the third floor you have to carry your suitcases all the way up. The staff did help when I was checking in but it’s a shame since it’s a modern hotel otherwise. There’s only one pool as well which is full of kids so not great for chilling out.
