Beautifully situated at the end of the beach, great breakfast. Authentic Thai style buildings.

Situation from main town requires one to either pay local taxis or rent a scooter to access other options than are not on the small Wong Dueang beach. Only a few of the staff could speak English very well. Majority of guests either Chinese or Russian.

The approach to the property needs improvement. Vehicles cannot enter the property so lugging a suitcase of appx 12 kgs from the entrance to the reception was a major task as there is a steep incline at a point with poor road condition. This issue needs to be resolved. The walk from the entrance to the reception area needs to be also kept clean and maintained better.

Perfect quiet place, nice views ; perfect ocean

It looks like the Ceptic system on the island is rather primitive; all hotels drain their pipes directly into the ocean. Also they burn plastic ; no recycling . But it doesn’t happen every day; so the air is mostly clean

Clean, cosy, great view, and one of the few properties on Samet with a pool.

It’s a bit off the beaten path.

It was such a relaxed atmosphere to sit in front of the restaurant at the seaside under a huge old tree that gave shadow and having a super fresh sea food meal from the very good kitchen there. The prices a bit higher than around but big portions and all fresh and tasty.

We had room B8 in the main building at the end of the second floor with a nice sea view. Lucky we had only one room neighbour, because the walls seem to be of paper. We could hear nearly everything of them especially the bathroom door banging, obviously it needed some power to close it. Better book a bungalow if you are sensitive to this. Unfortunately the breakfast was not on the same high level as the restaurant food, cheap toast bread and low quality jam spoiled the overall good impression a bit.

The location is exquisite and the resort is quiet and away from loud parties or scooters.

While it's not the resorts fault, there is a lot of plastic waste on the beautiful beach at Ao Wong Duen. The resort was clean, but the plastic just washes up... but still waaaay cleaner than some other popular resorts in Thailand. Staff and surrounding vendors were really friendly it was so relaxing.

Great location. Almost private beach in quite lagoon. Hotel based on the cliff with a wonderful views. Can recommend for the family vacation

Our room wasn't new. Not matching the pictures on the preview. But seems hotel currently under renovation and it will be better. Very low water flow in the shower

Sea view; the family room had a mezzanine level which made it seem more spacious. However, the ladder to the mezzanine is quite treacherous so would not recommend for small kids. The staff were friendly.

There was ocean garbage (bottles half full of urine presumably from nearby fishing boats) & plastic that swept up to the rocks just in front of our villa. If someone can do a sweep each day to pick up the sea trash that would do wonders to the place. Also, we were in the last villa (F4) closest to the pool, and people kept peering around the fence trying to walk across our deck/balcony! There should be a sign that says “no trespassing onto the balcony”. The coffee at breakfast is a Nescafé machine that was almost undrinkable. We ordered lattes from the cafe instead which was not free, but a lot nicer. The pipes in the bathroom also gave off a sewage like smell, so that needs fixing. Our friends stayed next door and this was the case for them as well.

Place is amazing. A wee paradise. Staff are exceptional, couldn’t be any more helpful. Room was stunning, wee hit looking out to the sea, two large double beds, perfectly clean with everything we needed. Outside terrace had comfortable seating area, pretty lights, wooden swings overlooking the sea. Pool as lovely, pool bar service was great Food was good too. Breakfast was included, a good selection. Location is beautiful, surrounded by sea on 3 sides of the property. We got dropped off by taxi and it’s a few minutes walk down the hill. It’s not too far, we had one person on crutches and she managed it fine. We loved this place and would definitely stay again, highly recommend

Very low pressure in showers….literally the only bad thing about this place

I stayed in a Queen Room with Sea View and it was sensational. The room was superb and the bed was super comfy. Walk out on the balcony and there was the ocean. Amazing views and so peaceful. The beach and water were so clean and a delight to swim in. The pool was superb as well. So clean and a great place to sit and relax with a few beers in the afternoon. The breakfast was decent but not a lot of variety every day

Getting into the resort was not the easiest. There is a long road you need to walk down then you walk down a path towards the beach and turn left. Not the clearest directions. The breakfast was ok but they need to have a bit more variety. It was the same every day. The TV was horrendous. Not that I want to watch TV alot, but I like to watch a bit before I go to bed. All they had was re-runs of about 15 programs. There was no normal TV to choose from and if you decided to watch one of the re-runs it would buffer every 60 seconds which made it almost impossible to watch. Very annoying.
