This place is a paradise! Mei and the other staf are so helpful. The breakfast choices and quality is amazing. Everything beyond all our expectations. Also don't take the warnings about the traffic from the road to seriously. Yes you can hear the road in the queen villa, but in Chiang mai and almost everywhere in Thailand there is a road somewhere. It is not loud and not in the evening and at night. So if your looking for great rooms/bungalows in a magical garden to unwind and enjoy the sun during the day our take a taxi and explore Chiang mai and everything the area has to offer, stop your search and book this place! Chiang mai centre is a 30 min drive so perfect to both relax and have the options of going out.

We loved, loved, loved everything about it. Absolutely amazong rooms, beautiful garden, great pool, and Meimei, who runs the place bends backwards to give the best possible servece. Absolutely recommended

A must-visit in Chiang Mai - for whom interest in traditional. I miss so much the feeling there! Through the disscussion with the receptionist girl (her name is Mei I think). This whole beautiful landscape and real traditional Thai houses are built 28 years ago by her uncle in law - a landscape architect (who staying in Bangkok - he should be an excellent architect i believe so!). And his wife - the girl said- is the one who grow herself all the trees and gardens there. The lady has a very good knowledge and understanding about trees. Waking up in the morning, thought was in a dream in a Botanic garden! I feel so lucky to be there The Thai wooden house is about 4m wide and 3m long, but, at least 7m high - the roof! Surprised to me that I slept very well those 2 nights in such a high-roof-mini-house. Walking distance of 400m from the hotel, there is a Michelin 3 stars restaurant called De Wa Lee or something like that (you should as the receptionist girl she can show you). Very nice and affordable Thai dishes there - also a must try! Definitely being back here for traditional Thai house and natures. By the way, ask for the house which is not next to the street to avoid the noise is my reccommendation :) Also this is a nature feeling so there are some bugs still - not for whom fear bugs But to be fair, room facilities here, I believe that further standards than 3 stars (probably 4 stars) Swimming pool area, BBQ area, beautiful dreaming Botanic garden. Perfect! Can’t wait to come back here with my family and friends on the next time!

This was by far the most beautiful accommodation during our trip – so much so that we ended up extending our stay for several more nights! With only a few rooms and guests, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We were especially impressed by the stunning garden with a jungle vibe and the gorgeous pool – a true haven for unwinding. The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The family-like atmosphere adds a special touch to the experience. It’s important to note that there is no dinner service, and the location is a bit outside the city, with not a lot of restaurant options in walking distance. However, with Grab, a car, or a scooter, it’s easy to get around. For us, this was not a downside but rather a plus, as we sought peace and relaxation. We would choose this over a city hotel any day!

This was our absolute favourite place that we stayed in Thailand (and we stayed in some lovely places)! It really is so special! The rooms are stunning, so clean, stylish, comfortable and well laid out. The bathroom that we had was almost completely floor to ceiling glass, but totally private & surrounded by lush greenery. I have taken pictures because I want to use it as inspiration for my own house! They have thought of everything you could possibly need in your room. There is good internet and Netflix already loaded onto the TV. The bed was very comfortable. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and peaceful. It feels like you are in another world. The swimming pool & hot tub are lovely, and there are all these nice little seating areas everywhere. It's all so clean and well cared for. The breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked to order, totally delicious. I had Thai omelette and fresh fruit every day. The people who own and run it are some of the loveliest people I have ever stayed with. They were so helpful with anything that we needed. They made us feel so welcome. I wouldn't even think twice about staying here again. If I ever come back to Chiang Mai I will book with Baansuwanburi 💜

Baansuwanburi is a peaceful haven on the outskirts of Chiang Mai City that has been thoughtfully curated, from its rooms, to the gardens and the pool. Its location lends to nights of peaceful sleep among the relaxing sounds of crickets and bird song. Mei and her mother are warm, accommodating and generous hosts. We opted for the Thai breakfast option and it was delicious, cooked fresh by Mei's mother each day. They even provided a take away breakfast for a day where we had an early tour start. We-La-Dee is a restaurant a few minutes down the road with some of the best food we had in Thailand. We ate here two nights out of our 3 night stay! Baansuwanburi is on the outskirts of the city. We took taxis into town which were usually less than €5 and easy to come by. The drive is about 20 mins. We would love to come back here and would highly recommend to anybody visiting Chaing Mai as a place to stay!

I absolutely loved my stay here. Nearly everything about the hotel is perfect - the lush garden, the comfortable and cosy room, the stylish and well-equipped bathroom, the amazing setting, and most importantly - the wonderful Mei and her mom who are so kind, friendly, caring and attentive. It was truly a special experience. It was also great value for money - a boutique hotel experience for the price of a homestay.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, because it was aware of it when booking, but the hotel is located about 25mins drive from Chiangmai city centre. Just something to bear in mind! But it is well compensated by the fact that it is such a special place to stay and also feels like the air there is cleaner compared to Central Chiangmai and it’s environs, which were very polluted.

As newly weds, the wife and I booked this as 1/3 of our honeymoon and we couldn't be more thankful that we included this wonderful, intimate, and peaceful location. The garden, the pool, the food, the room, and everyone working there was exemplary and kind. We loved the home made and cooked to order food, highly recommend the Thai omelet and Mei's fantastic caramel macchiatos. The amenities as far as the pool, bathrooms, common area, connectivity and entertainment were all top notch. I can not say enough about this location and the wonderful and relaxing time we had while we were there.
