The staff were friendly an helpful. They let me choose between two rooms when I arrived, then let me change rooms when a light wasn't working in the room I had chosen. They left water and toilet paper at my door every day, which was a thoughtful surprise. The location was good, especially for the weekend markets. It was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. I would definitely stay again. - I saw previous reviews mention breakfast, ice cream, packed lunches or other food services, but I didn't see any food services aside from free bananas. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. There is a shared kitchen you can use.

The place has a very nice vibe, it's authentic. The staff was very kind and helpful. Great location - right next to a market where you can find delicious shakes for 20 BHT or wonderful mango sticky rice for 30 BHT. If you are planning a trip for the weekend you will be right next to the Saturday market which is an amazing experience.

The room was very clean, there was everything needed. However the pillows were a bit big and hard (but we used the small decorative cushions so it was ok). If you get a room with a transom light over the door it might disturb you to sleep.

Quiet side street location yet conveniently close to convenience stores, the morning market, and a night food market. The staff did not speak much English but were very helpful getting our luggage up and down the stairs to the rooms. We booked our stay without breakfast because we planned on sampling the offerings at the markets but there was a small freezer from which we could help ourselves to single-serve cups of ice cream! The rooms were clean and had a small fridge, kettle, and a small selection of coffee and tea. We’d stay here again!

Frey was the best host. Easy going & friendly. My plane was delayed, and she stayed late to check me in and show me around. The room was beautiful. The aircon and shower worked perfectly. Rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels. The building itself is perfect for history buffs. Old school irons, typewriters, radio, etc, displayed in the venue. The location was excellent. Minutes walk from 711, night markets, old town gates, tattoo shops (Made My Day) , Kalm Museum, Yoga studio, and safe to walk around as solo female. I extended my stay for 3 more nights. I didn't want to leaveeeeeee :)

Love the location in this corner of Old Town Chiang Mai... short walk to market, temples and to lots of good food and coffee places. The Kalm Arts and Textile Gallery nearby is beautiful. Hotel feels like a home... rooms a little small but very cozy and nicely designed. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Nice to use the little common kitchen area and tables for your own breakfast. Love the House Cat Khun Mok who watches over everyone that comes and goes. Highly recommend this place to enjoy Chiang Mai

This is a very clean and quiet boutique hotel in a great location. I was very satisfied with my stay. The receptionist is so lovely and pleasant. She has a great attitude and was so helpful during my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very strong. It’s centrally located but on a quiet street. It’s located a one minute walk from the canal and a popular market which sells vegetables etc during the day and street food at night. It was also extremely economical. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to friends.

The staff was the sweetest ever, the place was very cute and homey and I found the beds although hard, extremely comfortable and really good for your back. Perfect location close to everything but very quiet at the same time.

Although it was very clean, there were some spots like the night lamps and the tv that were very dusty. The rooms are a bit small but enough for a couple nights. We had a balcony but had no access to it since it didn't have a door but a window. The installations are a little bit old in general.

Great location on the southern side of the old town, easy to walk everywhere with lots of heat cafes and restaurants nearby - Sunday market less than 10mins away. Very nicely decorated rooms, cosy and bed was comfy! Staff here are super friendly and always around should you need anything.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at Huen Hug. The room was comfortable and clean. The location had interesting places nearby eg the KALM textile and art museum and was very close to the Saturday night market where we had the most delicious and cheap food. Mr Mok (the cat) was cute!

The owner of the hotel help us with all the trips we make. She a was great person. She try to make every day a special day. Even if we go for a trip before kitchen opens (2 times) she make a picknick breakfast for us. Hotel is great and verry clean. Great location in the middle of the old town. I go back 100%.
