Very friendly staff Close to the fantastic Kantiang Bay and My Ko Lanta National Park Breakfast is good and there is a nice view from the restaurant The room itself is also very nice and we really enjoyed staying here!

Not a bad thing because the view at the top is great, but keep in mind there are a few stairs to climb to get to parts of the resort (e.g. if you're old or unfit)

Amazing location, shops and restaurants are nearby, but the area is not overwhelmingly developed, it’s very serene. The beach around the corner is beautiful and is only a 5 min walk away. Pool is spectacular, great views. And the room is the best we’ve had in Thailand so far. Romantic, cosy, comfortable and clean. We loved our stay here so much, we’re thinking about coming back next year again.

After a certain time, 9 or 10, there is no room service available and the front desk is empty. Not the biggest issue in the world, as 7/11 is right around the corner, but still:)

The view from the swimming pool area and the pool itself is what make the stay so incredible! Truely unique. The staff was also very nice and smiling all the time, always greeting us good morning / good night when entering and leaving the hotel. I liked they gave us a big beach bag to store all towels, book, bottle ect

The breakfast was not much to our taste when we went to see it, very simple and much morr elaborate options outside the hotel. In the bedroom the lights plugs were weirdly installed (you had to go down the stairs to turn the light on, which could result dangerous when dark), the air conditionning was not much cold, the floor of the bathroom was not well inclinded so water went flowing and it was slippery.

Gorgeous accommodation and pool with a handy kids section which our toddler adored. We avoided breakfast due to some of the reviews but we ended up having lunch as it was convenient during pool days and we loved the food - we stuck to the local dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly too.

We loved everything about this place. It is worth noting it’s a dry resort (no alcohol sold) but they’re happy for you to bring drinks in - seven eleven is just around the corner. Another small improvement could be more shade/larger and more stable umbrellas by the pool.

Alama is a beautiful resort with a local feel overlooking Kantiang bay. We loved our stay here…it felt luxurious but totally Thai. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is right across the road from a peaceful beach bay. Paradise! The pool was a great oasis after the sea. We would totally recommend it.

It was all great. The breakfast was simple but totally ok.

The village itself is beautiful and very pastoral, and it was a cool feeling of being in the jungle, but still a walk away from the town and beach. The rooms are also very cool, and have a nice vibe, and are super unique and different from any other hotel we stayed at. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our original room had a strong smell of mould, and we had to pay for an upgrade to another room. The pool area, while beautiful, wasn’t very maintained, though I understand it’s low season.

The rooms are a generous size and with all the facilities you would expect to see, with authentic Thai design. Every member of staff we came across were extremely friendly and courteous. The pool/bar/breakfast area has a fantastic view of the sea, nearby beach as well as the lush green canopy of trees in which the hotel is located. Everything was clean and felt very hygienic. Everything you would want from this kind of hotel!

There was very little to not like about this hotel, but the only thing I could say is the breakfast feels slightly limited, although it was certainly adequate and wouldn't stop me coming here again!

Love this place, very good location with short walking distance to the beach and shops/ restaurants. It has very relaxing chill vibe, very quiet. The outdoor space is amazing, very clean and with beautiful smell of the flowers. The breakfast bar and pool have killer views. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, whatever you need they will be very happy to help you. I’ve booked this place as my last stop in Thailand with the purpose of relaxing and it was a great choice.

Unreal place. Quiet Paradise. Great location. Dreamy rooms. Staff were super friendly. Great options for breakfast. Great attention to detail with pool sliders, flip flops, dressing gowns, umbrellas, beach bag to borrow. Close to a quiet. Each with great restaurants with the most beautiful sunsets. Locals were lovely, our nephew made football friends with the local children.

Nothing we didn’t like. Only thing to improve would be to have a mosquito net but we had one so wasn’t an issue for us! You need good mobility as it’s hilly. But otherwise great way to get exercise in :)

Charming independent rooms with small terraces and hammocks. Very cosy.

The breakfast is not extremely varied. The hotel rents out scooters but as we had little experience they were quite stressed out - so we were given their worst / oldest scooters - which isn't ideal - especially when you're a beginner (meter not working, brakes a bit faulty) It was clean but still some cobwebs in the room ... and the cleaning times were quite random ...
