We stayed in a beach front villa as part of our honeymoon trip. The room was spacious, well laid out with the comfiest bed ever! The balcony overlooked the pool/beach so we were able to witness the most amazing sunsets whilst having a beer on the balcony/terrace. The staff are all very nice, they remember your name, room number and things you like. The owners also make an effort to introduce themselves and are present everyday to ensure your stay is perfect. Special mention to Nee (I think this was his name) he took our bags to the room and looked after reception some days. Great guy and very funny. The food and drinks are both incredible tasting and very well priced - in line with the island prices which was great value for money. (Morning smoothies are very special) Overall perfect resort - the negative comments on reviews are very very nit-picky. There are places in close proximity but 5 minutes walk. (The sacrifice you make for a secluded quiet beach resort). 100% recommend.

If you want to treat yourself or just have a perfect beach holiday. This is the place you need to go to. The owner Sam and Jackie make sure that all guests feel very welcome. The bungalows are astonishing beautiful and we loved to relax on our private terrace. Live music on Wednesdays, dinner and breakfast at the beach. Great breakfast. I could go on and on, amazing stay!

On the basis that we loved our stay: - the pool could be cleaned more often during the day - the beach sand next to the sunbeds should be thoroughly cleaned. We found some broken glass and sun shade equipment - on a windy day some sun shades were flying off and there was no response from the staff. Also, some holders of the sun shades are very rusty and therefore you could not fix it when the sun shades flew off.

Beautiful location. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The food was excellent and at a very reasonable price for this standard of hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

As non smokers we found that smoking was allowed at the restaurant and around the bar. Although they could argue that some of the tables are outside, it is still annoying to be covered in other peoples smoke when you are eating.

What's not to like about this beautiful hotel. We were already booked at the Sofitel in Klong Muang for a week but we booked a special trip to stay at Lanta Palace for our anniversary as it looked so amazing in the photos. I can honestly say it was better than any photos 🤩 The whole stay was perfect. A perfect place to chill out, relax in a tranquil setting. The rooms were beautifully designed with everything you needed and more, great air-conditioning, nespresso coffee machine. USB chargers and although we didn't use the mini bar, the prices were the same as the bar prices which I'm sure would be a bonus for many. Everyone went an extra mile to make our anniversary memorable from the flowers on the bed to our dining on the beach. The restaurant served huge portions of tasty food, the starters were main course sizes! Breakfast had a great selection in a buffet style with waiter service for eggs and smoothies which was a nice touch. Great coffee, I'm sure it was Nespresso too The staff are a credit to the owners of this stunning boutique hotel, who we chatted to after our meal...it was a pleasure to hear the story of the resurrection of the hotel. The hotel is a labour of love, and it shows by the happy staff, and chilled guests Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we wished it was longer ❤️

Loved the private individual villas. Great size and everything we needed in them. Less than a minutes walk to breakfast and pool. Beautiful cared for gardens The breakfast area is lovely no mad rush to get to the breakfast food that you find in larger hotels. Pool area right on beach is beautiful. Cocktail hour is fun. The lovely touch of fruit and cold water brought to sunbeds is a lovely touch. Food is amazing we didn't have one bad meal and ate lunch and evening meal in hotel more than we normally would while on holidays. We didn't want to leave the amazing atmosphere. We stayed around pool longer than normal, showers were taken at leisure to return back to restaurant with beautiful beach atmosphere and great food always finished with a nightcap and friendly banter. Reception staff very helpful and great to deal with. Lovely refreshing drink and cold towel on arrival. They organised airport pick up and return, a moped for a couple of days and taxi to Old Town for a day out which is so helpful takes all the guesswork out of who to call. Every single member of staff amazing with friendly greetings but not intrusive. Owners on site and always ready for a chat. We loved our stay and have booked to return and counting down the days to do it all again.

Absolutely nothing to not like.

Probably the best place I have stayed, ever. Absolutely loved it. The villas and the property in general are pristine, all recently renovated. The location is also great on a quiet beach that is a short walk from a larger beach. Several good restaurants close by. The staff was wonderful and made everything completely stress free. Special thanks to Nee for helping me clean my cut foot.

I forgot to mention to the owners that there was an issue with the shower keeping a steady temperature. A small problem that didn’t take away from an otherwise perfect experience.

We initially booked through Booking.com for 7 nights in Bungalow A1 which was front line, we had such a nice time we extended our stay for another 7 nights in Bungalow C2 (from memory) which has an equally amazing sea view. This resort is hard to beat, the owners, Sam and Jacquie have done an outstanding job in creating a brand new amazing boutique resort which is situated in a fantasitc location. The bungalows lack nothing and are extremely well appointed. Sitting around the pool or on the beach the sea view is just amazing, a few paces away is the bar and the bar staff are excellent, they make superb cocktails and delicious food. We would definably stay in with Sam and Jacquie again, nothing was too much trouble for them and I can highly recommend the Lanta Palace Beach Resort

The hotel was beautiful, with a good-sized pool and an idyllic beachfront setting. The gardens were a lovely feature and very well looked after. The breakfast buffet was really excellent every morning, with plenty of choice of Thai and European food and eggs cooked to order. Fresh fruit smoothies and mellow cappuccino were particularly appreciated! The room was a garden view villa and it really was like a mini-villa, detached, well screened by tropical vegetation and with a large shower room featuring a walk-in shower and double sink. Our huge bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night, so we slept well. All the staff were friendly, polite and couldn’t do enough for the guests.

Without hiring a car or bike, there is a limited amount of things to see or do nearby and within walking distance. Koh Lanta is more remote and less touristy than, for example Koh Samui. We did hire a car for 5 days and the hotel can arrange this, as well as organised tours-there’s a brochure in reception. Our journey was a very long one, including driving to London, two separate flights and then a road and ferry transfer to the hotel which took over 2 hours, so if you are travelling from the UK, be prepared for this or something similar.

I had an amazing stay at Lanta Palace Beach Resort & Spa - Adult Only! The service was outstanding – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic, with delicious meals and refreshing cocktails that exceeded my expectations. A special highlight was the dinner on the beach – an unforgettable experience dining under the stars with the soothing sound of waves in the background. The resort's location is perfect for exploring Koh Lanta. It’s centrally located, making it easy to visit local attractions, and the private beach is stunning – quiet, clean, and perfect for relaxing. The Adults Only atmosphere added an extra layer of tranquility, making the whole stay feel truly peaceful and luxurious. We stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows by the pool, which offered a beautiful view and easy access to the water. During the day, quite a few people were passing by, especially near the pool area. While this didn’t bother us, it’s something to remember for guests seeking more privacy. In that case, I recommend booking one of the bungalows set further back from the beach. Their location is very private and intimate, perfect for those seeking more seclusion.

If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to offer a bit more variety at breakfast. While the quality was good, a wider selection would make it even better. :)
