One of our favourite stays in Thailand. The best part was the friendliness of Red and the amazing food of his wife. After traveling to several hotels after we can really say the breakfast here was the best, they even gave us some Thai treats every day! Even if the place is a bit far from the beach (you need a motorbike for sure) it’s located in a well maintained natural terrain which we really loved. We really loved having the chance to eat dinner in their restaurant, everything was so so good. Would love to come back!

Just to keep in mind everyday at 5am the mosque makes its call to pray on loud speakers.

This was my second time staying at Lanta Para Hut, and I will definitely be back again in the future. Red is a fantastic host, he is friendly & funny and helps you to sort out anything you need, with no hassle! (He helped us to sort out scooters, boats, and taxis). He is very personable and makes you feel right at home! We enjoyed chatting with him! His wife is a fantastic cook, they are a great team! The bungalows are very comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well to keep us cool. The shower had warm water and the balcony was great for relaxing on after a long day! The location of Lanta Para Hut is in my opinion perfect, as you are in the middle of the island, so can easily reach the south, or the north. We will definitely stay in Lanta Para Hut in the future, thank you red and see you next time ! :)

There was nothing bad about Lanta Para Hut, and I would recommend staying here on your trip to Koh Lanta!

A super relaxed accommodation with multiple comfortable huts surrounded by nature. The host is very helpful and accommodating, and adds to the chilled atmosphere that is within a 10-minute drive of the beach and lively cafes and restaurants.

No problems! The accommodation was not right by the beach, so it’s helpful to have your way of getting around the island - they also offer motorbikes to rent so that’s a great option.

If you prefer a quieter stay away from the tourist buzz, then this is a great option. It’s just a 10-minute bike ride to nearest beach and attractions. The owner is a very chilled and friendly man with a good sense of humour and is quick to attend to any issues. His wife will also cook you up a good meal.

Not a negative thing really, but expect ants, mosquitoes and the odd spider in your bungalow. Just be prepared and bring bug repellent, otherwise call Red to rescue you.

Best accomodation I have stayed at during our travels through Southeast Asia, maybe even in all my travels. Red, the owner, is a kind hearted and super helpful man. His wife cooks delicious food at their local, friendly priced restaurant. The huts are situated amidst forested hills, away from the busier resorts and beaches. It’s stunning and quiet. The huts are comfortable, super clean, and well maintained. Highly recommended!

We wanted to stay longer, but had to resume our travels. Be warned: you’ll stay longer than planned.

We spent 5 nights as a couple at Lanta Par Hut and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. The place is ideally located, far from the noise in a peaceful neighbourhood but still only 10 minutes away from the best beaches in Koh Lanta. The bungalows are very confortable and well equipped (air conditioning, towels, comfortable bed, little terrasse, fridge, wifi,…) the biggest plus of this place is definitely the kindness of Red and his wife, the owners. They are very welcoming and can help on many aspects: scooter rental, organising bus transport to your next destination, activities, laundry,… The restaurant is amazing with lots of delicious food options! It was a true paradise. The lush garden, the quiet location, the amazing food, the beautiful wooden huts, the tropical setting. And above all Red is the most excellent, supportive, caring and friendly host. Even though it can be useful to have a scooter for getting round, I did not have one and it was absolutely fine. The nearest beach (which is lovely) is just a 20 minute walk away, and there is always the chance to use a tuk tuk for shorter or taxi for longer distances or at nighttime. This was my best stay in Thailand! Red, thank you so much!

I liked everything

These handcrafted huts/bungalows are clean, spacious, providing AC and a wonderful rotating fan. The bathroom is perfectly sloped to dry quickly. Host speaks best English we’ve encountered, and his wife is a superb cook. I especially appreciate the sticky brown rice with fresh coconut. There are set breakfast options as well as a la carte. Be sure to inquire about restaurant hours.

Brighter lightbulbs would make a big difference.

It was exactly what we were looking for, no frills no fuss. Beautiful gardens in a very quiet and chilled location. The host was a Thai man whose name is Red. Red is amazing, helpful, charismatic, charming and engaging, very knowledgeable about Koh lanta and It’s a bit like the old Johnny walker advert that nobody can add ice like I can. Every stay has a bed, a garden, a pool etc but what sets Lanta Para Hut apart from all the others is they don’t have Red. The restaurant food was superior and the prices as cheap as any restaurant we have been in Southern Thailand. We will definitely be back even on a day trip just to eat the food. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness Red.

Exceptions service! Red and his wife were excellent hosts, great food available and very attentive! As a solo traveller I felt very safe and supported by them. First place I’ve ever felt sad to leave! I adored the location for its remoteness and hearing the wildlife but it might not be for everyone with chirpy creatures all the time.

The location is a bit out of the way so harder to get around if you don’t scooter. But taxis can be arranged which makes it simple enough
