We are a couple with a teenager, and loved everything about our pool suite - the layout, the furnishings, the size. Very comfortable place to call home for a few days. The tub, shower and pool were just amazing. Places inside and out to lounge or eat. The staff are so personable and responsive. Very impressed with everyone we encountered, from the front of the house, food and drink servers, housekeeping, groundskeepers, all absolutely top notch. I feel like they would happily do almost anything to help their guests. The whole place had such a great vibe. Everyone just seemed to belong there together. I can see why they have such a loyal following! The food and drinks were also very good, and prices so reasonable for a 5 star resort. The breakfast was just wow! We also enjoyed all of the common areas near the beach and pool very much. The lagoon pool is lovely. So many comfy places to sit and relax. I only wish we could've stayed longer. And I wished I took advantage of activities like the yoga on the beach.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Royal Muang Samui Villas. We enjoyed the traditional style of this resort. It provides a tranquil oasis from the bustle of Chaweng, which is only a 10 minute drive away. There are great local restaurants within a short walk from the resort. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There was an excellent range of options for breakfast each day. The gardens are kept in immaculate condition.We loved the facilities of the pool villa.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. There are a few stairs to climb to access the pool villas. We saw this as part of our exercise for the day.

We stayed 7 nights at Royal Muang Jan 2023. Highlights of our stay were the design of the resort and staff. We stayed in a family villa - very spacious and very comforable beds - our teens loved it. No need to cook, as lots of restaurants along the beach, including the resort restaurant. 7/11 across the road handy too. The staff made this stay memorable - shout out to Lai, Zai and Sit (and other bar staff) who took their time to make us feel looked after. And to the staff who always offered to move deck chairs and umbrellas to ensure we were shaded on hot days and out of the wind on windy days. We loved our evenings at the bar, relaxing and watching the ocean. The lady who cleaned our room also did extra things like lighting mosquito coils (although we didn't see any mozzies) and the oil burner - thank you. We noticed Royal Muang was one of the only resorts on the beach who cleared the sand from rubbish (hopefully one day in the future this won't be an issue for this part of the world). We also noticed the new resorts are very much of a modern design, not thai style and we loved returning to Royal Muang becuase of this each day. We can see that maintainence has started again after COVID and look forward to seeing the resort at its best soon. The beach would have to be one of the best beaches on the island - much more relaxed than other areas too. Thanks for a great stay. We very much appreciated your hospitality,

We loved our stay at Royal Muang Samui Villas. The room was amazing - we read books and sunbaked on the balcony, swam in the private pool and even enjoyed the spa on a cooler night. The communal areas were appropriate, the health spa was worth the extra $$$, although there is also super cheap massage parlours across the street if desired. The staff were always so happy and helpful. It was easy to catch a songthaew to the fisherman's village or Chaweng (we preferred the fisherman's village - its quieter!). Would definitely recommend for couples looking for a relaxing getaway!

The staff and facilities were excellent. The staff are so attentive and will happily go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area is stunning and very clean. The beach is very close to the hotel and has a very good choice of bars and restaurants. There is also a good choice of places to eat and drink on the road outside the hotel. Breakfast comes with a great view and plenty of choice for both western and eastern diets. As some others have commented, there are a couple of things around the hotel which are starting to look tired but when you factor in how much this area was affected by Covid, i think its to be expected. During our stay, it was very apparent that ongoing repairs and updates are being carried out. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this hotel.

Nice , big rooms in traditional Thai design , with a lovely attached pool and nice big Sala. Lovely beach and a lot of activities for all age groups. Very good food options , including very efficient room service, Away from the noise and the sleazy night life , a perfect resort for a family vacation . And the staff really take care of you with their warm Thai hospitality and willingness to make your stay as comfortable as they can.

Great hotel: wonderful location, beautiful beach, food was amazing, staff very friendly, especially the restaurant manager who was helping us in the cooking class. Room was very big and lovely, the private swimming pool amazing, the large bathroom was huge and beautiful. We loved the location: cozy and quiet, a bit away of the busy places that you can easily reach by taxi if you miss the crowd or nightlife.

The area of the hotel was clean, but the cleaning standards of the room could have been better. That we had to leave:)
