Restaurants where great, grounds and pools fantastic. Being right on the beach with many small shops and restaurants run by locals outside of the resort gave lots of choice. The resort is next to a national park with plenty of walking tracks which is nice for active guests.

Gym was adequate but could have had more equipment for a large resort. Resort was about 45 mins drive to old town Phuket which is worth a day trip and night out which we did once, but it may be an issue if you wanted to spend a lot of time shopping and going out at night. We spent 5 days mostly at the resort and beach which was exactly what we wanted.

Absolutely amazing stay, this is a resort has a theme and design in every detail. This gives Slate an unique characteristic comparing to other places. The service is absolutely great, the staff assists me to resolve the credit card confusion and all other questions with tremendous patience. The room is actually bigger than I thought with 2 balconies and a huge bathtub which is my favourite. The bed is comfortable with a perfect balance, not too hard, not too soft, just on point. There are 3 pools, one for adults and children and 2 for adults only, it's family friendly and everyone can have some fun. The bar and dinners are amazing, you must try it out. The resort is right next to the Naiyang beach, even you can't see the sea directly, it's just a 30s walk from the door connecting the beach, this gives you a certain pravicy where you can enjoy both the busy public beach and your quiet pool time anytime. At last the New year party was so romantic, seating under a huge tree while watching the live performance until the countdown, a lifetime memory.

Nothing really, if I have to find one, that maybe the transportation. Would be perfect if there is free pickup and send-off to the airport.

We stayed here when it was originally called the "Indigo Pearl", for our Honeymoon. We returned for our 10 yr Anniversary to "The Slate'. Breakfast has a large variety of options. Dinner menu at Tin Mine appeared to be limited and this could be due to a number of alternative eating venues out side of the resort, all within walking distance. There are a number of other restaurants within the resort. We had a private Pool villa and it was amazing, ideal for a couple that want to get away, have a little isolation but have amenities close by. The room size is quiet large and the bed was very comfortable. The room attendant (Bee) was fantastic and was always helpful to all our requests. Adults pool with bar was great, good for a quick dip and then swim up to the bar for a cold beer. A short walk out the resort back gate (open 24hrs with Guard) and you are at Nai-Yang Beach and a cluster of building making up a village. Here there are a number of eating options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a few drinking locations, shopping options and grocery stores. Great place to stay if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Patong. Our first language is English and we were always able to find Staff who spoke English to assistance us with our enquiry.

We are struggling to find anything of significance as to what we didn't like. Can only re-state the Tin Mines limited dinner menu / options. Also if an absorbent type material (mat) be placed on the floor under the air-conditioning unit as the polished timber floor becomes very slippery when wet.

Unique design hotel next to nai yang beach. Excellent food and drink, black ginger is certainly a destination restaurant however all food options excellent including a great breakfast. Hotel never felt too busy and has many pools and areas. They hold special nights too so always something going on. The design is absolutely stunning; every corner has something to see and looks great. Such an attention to detail in the unique design. In terms of room we had a pearl bed suite, this was one of the most memorable rooms we've stayed in. Really cool design. Great activities both paid and free. Hotel also has direct access to a highly professional and great value diving and snorkel centre, and on top of this a great gym. Everything is very easy to access through the hotel app and as expected service is of very high standard. Destination also very good, right next to the beach; hotel had some shortcut private gates out the back which provide direct access. Nai Yang beach itself is great, lots of small restaurants, a bar street and quite a few massage options and nice to go out for morning and sunset walks. Hotel only 10-15mins to Phuket airport so easy travel, and we never really heard any airport noise, aways felt calm on the territory. Generally a relaxed resort area. Hotel good for both families and couples and they manage this very well (eg. Adult areas and adult only pools). We'd definitely like to go back to the Slate.

Only minor negative was air con was a bit loud. However we got used to it after a couple of nights.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer beauty and elegance of the hotel. The attention to detail in the design and decor was simply breathtaking. Each corner seemed to tell a story, immersing me in the rich history and culture of Phuket. The ambiance was nothing short of magical, and I found myself constantly inspired by the unique aesthetic that The Slate offers. One of the standout aspects of my stay was undoubtedly the impeccable cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. It was evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for guests. The cleanliness of my room and the entire property was consistently excellent, and it contributed to an overall sense of comfort and relaxation throughout my stay. However, what truly sets The Slate apart is your exceptional staff. From the warm and genuine welcome upon my arrival to the attentive and courteous service throughout my stay, every interaction with your team was a pleasure. The level of professionalism displayed by your staff is truly commendable. They were always ready to assist with a smile, offering valuable recommendations and ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and efficiently. The genuine care and dedication they showed towards their work and the guests was truly heartwarming.

Truly everything. It is a big complex, but doesnt feel crowded. It has everything. Great quality of interior design. High quality materials. Good breakfast. Kids club. Several pools. You walk outside the resort and enter a cozy ambiance of beach, food market, restaurants (at the beach and in a street). Some shops. Rental agencies. Affordable sunbeds. Beautiful sea, beach and views. As being in a bay. 10 mins from the airport (no sound of planes). Staff and service high quality. Very good value for money.

Everything was good. Maybe a few more cardio machines in the gym, given the number of visitors they get.

The room and resort were absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a magical candlelit bath whilst watching the tropical rain and played ambient chill out music with the in room Bluetooth speaker. We then had a world class dining experience at Black ginger. As far as restaurant setting go, this is near on perfect. The room service food was also very good.

The App needs work. But more so the service. The hotel needs to massively improve it's response time to the app, as this is a concierge service. We waited over 40 minutes for a response. They did explain calling reception is more reliable but this is only an option when you are in your room. After our meal we waited half an hour for a buggy to collect us in the rain. This is just poor resource management.

Comfortable rooms, beautiful grounds, adult only pools and great location right next to the beach.

We thought the Hôtel restaurants were expensive and not particularly child friendly.

We loved everything about this place - the comfort, the hospitality, the vibe. Welcoming & check-in process were smooth and attentive. We had a super comfortable and spacious room with a patio and private pool and a great garden view. The bed and pillows were a dream, super comfortable! Breakfast was so rich and varied and we've enjoyed all the various restaurants in the resort. I fell madly in love with the fragrance of the place, the champaka flower, which is in all their toiletries.

It's a bit remote, quite far away from Phuket town, but they were very helpful in ensuring transfers.

Wow - what a stay. We stayed in the Bensley Suite - which is a two story villa within the grounds of the hotel. We had a brilliant time. The villa offers a service of a butler (Reen) who just looked after everything for us - it was such a lovely touch. Breakfast was great in the main hotel lobby. The local area is fab - nice and quiet and the beach is just incredble. Reen brought us afternoon tea every day and checked in if we needed anything. The hotel brought us thank you gifts, and gave us a complimentary taxi ride to the airport when we were going home.

The beds were a little too soft for us, and the down mattress topper was itchy. The restaurant Black Ginger in the grounds of the hotel - whilst an impressive and theatrical experience, it was probably one of our least favourite meals we had during our two weeks travelling around Thailand, and considering the setting and the price point, the quality of the food/service did not match the setting/ambience.
