The owner of the business is an exceptionally nice guy who will go out of his way to make you welcome and he is a genuine guy. This accommodation is exceptional for people who are mad keen on playing golf. I enjoyed the live bands they had on Friday nights at the Travellers Rest. I also enjoyed many of the live bands playing within a 10 min walking distance from the Sports Bar. I liked the fact that all the rooms had been updated to 5 star standard. What was particularly useful was the air conditioning system threw very hot air onto the balcony area, so if you came home soaked after a thunderstorm just put your clothes on the balcony and they are bone dry in the morning. You can also book a taxi to anywhere else you want to go from a taxi office directly opposite the Sports Bar and it will pick you up from outside the Sports Bar at any time you want. It cost us just under £30 to go from Pattaya to our hotel in Bangkok including road tolls and the journey takes about 2 hours. You pay for the taxi not per person.

Though the rooms have been modernised and the shower areas are great I think the room doors could do with a lick of paint, to complete the modernisation process.

Nice, clean and comfy. The WiFi and the A/C work really well. The staff was very nice. (I lost my phone and they found it) very grateful. They also provide you with drinking water. Overall great value...

Well, it is in a place where the party never stops. So keep in mind that it will be hard to fall asleep before 2:00 a.m. Also it's about 2 km. to walking street.

It was clean and had amenities like a kettle and refrigerator. Couldn’t figure out the TV other than YouTube TV. The shower was nice hot and the flow was good. There was ample lighting and the only downside was the Wi-Fi was pretty weak on the second floor, where I was I had to go by the door to get a signal rather than from my bed in room 203.

Excellent location and was made to feel very welcome. The staff were amazing, and Derek went above and beyond to try to extend our stay, but unfortunately rooms were not available, otherwise we would have spent our entire vacation at the Travellers. The room was fantastic, with a balcony that had a table and 2 chairs and a comfortable armchair where I could smoke. The en-suite bathroom was big and very clean. The cleaning staff were amazing, and cleaned my room everyday, although the option to not have it cleaned was available by leaving the card hanging outside on the door handle ( 1 side was 'do not disturb' and the other was 'do not clean' ). Bottles of water were left everyday, and there was a kettle and cups to use. The room had a wardrobe, drawers, and a dressing unit with a very large mirror. There was a flat screen TV. Oh, and probably most importantly!, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. My overall stay was absolutely fantastic and I would definitely stay every time I'm in Pattaya. 15 out of 10 stars to Derek and all the staff, thank you for making my stay excellent and being amazing hosts.

There was nothing to dislike. I stayed at another guest house on Soi Lengkee for the remainder of my trip, and the cost was the same, but Travellers Rest was way above and beyond the second stay, 10 times better than the other place, but I won't name name's.

The breakfast was very good and excellent value for money The location I thought was excellent, very central with easy access to everything I needed.

No complaints whatsoever. Location brilliant. Staff attitude, brilliant. Very clean and great access and egress by a private entrance.

At the price I needed o pay, it was excellent in most respects. The room is large and well appointed.

As is often true with rooms above a bar in a nightlife area, noise was an issue until the early hours of the morning. I am a heavy sleeper, and could tolerate it, but light sleepers should probably avoid this otherwise great option.
