The resort is beautiful and the villa was really lovely with good amenities including little gifts when our room was turned down at night. The staff were absolutely fantastic; the first villa we were given didn't have as much privacy as we wanted so they quickly found us another that was much more suitable. They were polite, friendly and welcoming. Good selection of food at breakfast. We loved the bikes, which were great for getting around the resort.

The only thing that disappointed us was that the website etc makes it appear the resort is mainly for adults but there were a lot of young children there when we stayed. For adults seeking some peace and quiet, I would suggest the hotel considers a separate adults-only swimming pool and perhaps a dedicated section for families in the restaurant etc. I'm not sure we would have booked to stay here had we known the guests were predominantly families.

Great resort and really enjoyed our stay. Banyan tree cafe was amazing! Right on Bangtao beach and can shuttle boat to canal village and boat avenue was really convenient.

Breakfast could be improved. Food was often cold or gone dry. Too many bugs in room. As this resort is in the Laguna area and by the lagoon... be prepared to be bitten by Mosquitos!

Breakfast was good, as its a buffet it could use more staff enforcing people not using their hands to pick up food items. staff are always friendly and helpful. the ginger tea at breakfast was very good and the kids loved the pastry section. The bikes are great for cycling around as a family and the golf buggies always stop to let the younger ones pass. Happy hour at sundowners bar is amazing and very peaceful.

It was a very busy time as there was an event being held there which created chaos. they did bring in extra staff for the occasion but it was clear they were not banyan tree staff as they were not as good as the resident staff who are excellent.

I think it was my third time visiting this hotel for the past 10 years, and I have always enjoyed my stay here so far. I believe that Banyan Tree is one of the best hotels to stay while you are visiting Phuket, as it provides you with everything you need - a range of good restaurants, fine in-room dining, leisure facilities, etc. The hotel’s staff is also extremely polite and helpful.

The biggest disadvantage so far is the current change of the beach. Now, if you want to reach the hotel’s designated and equipped beach spot, you either have to walk 10 mins along the shore or take a local buggy (provided by the hotel free of charge). If I am not mistaken, a couple of years ago the beach was located right in front of the hotel. I think it is also high time to renovate villas a bit. Currently, the interior is starting to look a bit outdated (e.g. old tv sets) or a bit shabby (some make-up would do nicely here). However, I would not say that any of it is a deal breaker, as safety, comfort and overall convenience of the stay here outweighs all these issues.

Excellent customer service . All staff were helpful and we thought room service would be slow given they were villas but everything was prompt . The rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the pool area was exceptionally maintained . First time i saw that you could go around the hotel in bones rather than buggies ( which were also available ). Kids absolutely loved this and we loved the fact of having a private pool and not fight for sunbeds !! One of our favourite hotels to date .

Due to heavy rain one day , the roof did leak but I always believe in how a problem is fixed and the hotel sorted it out straight away so it didn’t detract from the service and our stay .

Breakfast really need improvement, quality of bread , croissants for example not fresh and in general its not a 5 star hotel breakfast ( i will give the lowest quality among all 5 start hotels in phuket )

The whole place was absolutely stunning. From the main check-in area, to the lake, and our beautiful suites. Our suite was also super private and quiet which was nice. They offer a range of activities to keep you entertained and even provide a beach bag for when you go to banyan beach.

The food at the Waterfront restaurant was a hit or miss. We ordered the salmon and beef the first night and it was AMAZING, but the second night we ordered the pork and chicken and it was subpar.

Everything from the beginning. The staff welcomes you with a drink and massage you for 5 minute. Everyone smiles and makes you feel very good. This is best hotel ever. The private swimming pool with warm water was so good. The garden clean. The villa itself could be bigger but this 270m was count with beautiful garden and swimming pool. The room dinning service until 4 a.m is great. You can order food and drinks anytime with best service and Everything was very yummy. At first they brought us to the wrong villa because 1 guest had similar last name like me and after this small incident, they took us to the right villa and treat us Wine as an apology. This is for sure the best service and the best hotel I could visit until now. Highly recommend this villas even the price is high it is worth it. The spa massage was also very good. Enjoyed every minute of being there in Banyan Tree. I will come back there for sure. Thank you banyan tree for making my day an wonderful experience. It was my pleasure being there. Best ever.

Amazing room with private swimming pool, the price is just amazing, the breakfast has many options and it was delicious.

Too crowded, you need to wait longer to get what you need.

A good variety of international and local food options. The 2 bed villa had a double and twin room both ensuite with additional outdoor bath/ shower facilities . The room service menu was good value and wide choices for when restaurants were too much faff! The villa pool was kept cleaned daily.

Some evening’s restaurant facilities were taken over by corporate clients, held special menu options not suitable for all which meant the onsite dining experience became rather limited. The hotel is located in a secure area with a few other hotels/ private residence accommodation- as such you are pretty isolated from any other local facilities so if you like being out and about on foot this is not easy to do from here. The gym facilities are poor for a hotel of this quality- adequate- equipment is limited and a little old.
