Beautiful hotel. Great to relax. Large swimming pool, surrounded with plants. Nice lounge chairs next to the pool. Water was very clean. Lots of beautiful decorations. Free pick up/drop off to the bus station. Very nice traditional Thai massage, by two sweet ladies. Our room had strong AC, great water pressure and a small fridge.

We didn't sleep so great here. First night loud barking/fighting dogs nextdoor. Second night music beats from a bar. Third night it was quiet, so I guess it depends. No upper curtains in the room to block out the light from the hallway. Food at the hotel restaurant wasn't that great, neither was the restaurant they recommended. We didn't try the breakfast. Staff was very polite, but it felt a bit uncomfortable for us. Historical part was far away. But we managed to get a grab for 150 bht each way. At the entrance of the park you can rent bicycles for 30 bht pp. That was great.

We had stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and were very pleased so on a trip up north we decided to try it again. Firstly, as with everything there was a price increased, however wasn't expecting100%. 4 years ago we paid £20 per night including breakfast, this time it was £45. Putting price aside the great selling point of this hotel is the pool, it is in the middle of the hotel and all rooms overlook it. The staff were fantastic, so attentive 4 helped us to our room! they had to split the 100 baht tip. Breakfast is very good for a westerner in thailand. We had food in the restaurant too and it was terrific, service was excellent too.

We were disappointed with our room, it seemed we had been put in the worst room. We were not able to open windows and the door locked with a padlock!

The hotel was set in a quiet lane surrounded by a beautiful teak fence and large well established trees, which add to the tranquility of the hotel. The family that owners and runs the hotel has been there many generations and take great pride in providing the best experience and services for their customers. Song, the daughter of the owner is extremely helpful and speaks excellent English, which was very helpful in explaining the different historical parks and other interesting places to visit in the area. She works at their checkin desk and was there to greet us on our arrival. The restaurant is very quaint with trees growing through the roof, great ambiance, and the food was very good, Thai and western choices. They have a wonderful Saltwater pool in the middle of the hotel which was very refreshing after a day of exploring the historical parks in the region! Very nice and relaxing 3 day stay!

I liked everything about the place! Very tranquil and relaxing. In fact I extended my stay an extra day because it was such a nice place.

So much character and charm both the buildings and with all the beautiful furnishings. Here you will find the most incredible receptionist who will help you to decide what to see and do whilst you are in Nakhon Sawan & even book drivers, tours etc and her talent even extends to cooking breakfasts and a monk feeding ceremony. I really loved the pool and the outside areas. This is a family business and their love for the hotel, their guests and the environment shows from gift giving, driving me to historic attraction and to the bus station. As well as glass refillable water bottles. I wish to highly recommend the Ruean Thai Hotel. 10 out of 10!

The Ruean Hotel is simply gorgeous. It is truly a unique hotel featuring beautiful, eclectic, Thai antiques throughout, creating a very warm and interesting atmosphere, surrounding a large pool. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a bathroom lined in beautiful marble. The restaurant and reception hall is equally welcoming offering a delicious breakfast in the morning and exquisite dinners in the evening. All the staff were always warm, welcoming and ready to assist with any queries. Highly recommended!

The receptionist was one of the friendliest people we have met in Thailaand, and was extremely attentive. The staff are attentive even when not needed, and all you have to do is look up and around for one of them to ask you if you need something. This hotel is brimming with old Thai charm, so if you want to stay in an authentic teak house, this is as close as I have seen. The courtyard with the pool was picture perfect. There's even a gift shop with handmade local goods, and the restaurant was fantastic. Beautiful artwork and antiques are all around.

Everything was great for the price. It isn't "polished" and fancy, but it's charming. I wished for more places to sit in the room, but that's often a complaint I have. The charm makes up for the lack of polish, it's hard to havce both.

The hotel is beautiful and the pool is large. It is a comfortable walking distance from the centre of town. The manager is an exceptionally helpful woman who told me all the hot-spots to visit in the ancient city, and the ones that I might as well avoid. It’s also very close to some of the non-touristy night spots that have local live-music. Could not recommend this place more.

Food is good, staff are helpful

Cycles are for local town only,about 10 mins away. Need a taxi to the park. Pool is safe but very heavy chemicals.did not see water testing or scores written up. As its an old building there is zero soundproof. A bar nearby plays live music 9-1am.

The hotel is incredibly beautiful and the staff very attentive. In particular, I loved the architecture, the swimming pool and the food in the restaurant which was excellent. It's really 11/10 :)

The location isn't perfect but the staff are ready to pick you up from/to the bus station/centre if need be. This was really a nice gesture!

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Restaurant is great and food superb and well priced. Room comfortable but quite dark

Air conditioning wasn't the greatest - struggled to get room temperature down and was very noisy as well as leaking water occasionally. Not a lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
