Beautifully designed hotel in the stunning village of Göreme. Well located away from main traffic but still within a 5-10 minute walk of the centre of the town. Very friendly and welcoming check in process. Has a lovely rooftop terrace which allows you to see the balloons of Cappadocia in all their glory. Breakfast was tasty and normally there is time to do a balloon flight and make it back to breakfast before it closes. Great price for quality of hotel.

Perhaps it is coming towards the end of season, but some bits of hotel will need a little refreshing. Lights, sockets and air-con all a little temperamental.

In short: The Staff, The size of the rooms, the breakfast, and the location. Probably in this order. In length: The Front Desk team were extraordinary, way beyond what would be expected. Better than in a 5* Hotel, where they are "paid to care". The team here feels like they are all shareholders of the place. Will do whatever it takes to help during the stay. Jacob was the best Front Desk / Butler / Maitre D' I've met in years. I know how baised this review looks, but I promise it's up there. If you're still undecided, and reading reviews to make up your mind, this is it. I did a lengthy search and I'm so glad I chose this one. 5 mins to the center without the noise of it, all tour agencies know the hotel so it's easy for them to find you and pick up for the activities. I would personally avoid the 8-9 hour tours and instead ask Jacob to find you a driver than take you the same places in half the time.

They gave chocolates in the reception. They were too good. It made me crave them. :)

Beautiful hotel. It was fun to stay in a cave surrounded by Cappadocian caves! The view on the roof of the hotel is spectacular, the breakfast delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful, specially Yakub!

I liked everything. Small improvements would be to start breakfast at 7am instead of 8am. The hours when we were there were from 8 to 10. It is such a nice area that it would nice to have breakfast earlier in order to start exploring earlier. The other small improvement would be to have an expresso machine in the breakfast area. The drip coffee was a little too weak for my taste.

Design Cave hotel is the place to go! This place is perfect in every way from the rooms, to the staff, to the location. Hasan, Mustafa, Sam and the others were beyond amazing with us. My fiancee (now) and I booked not knowing the different places around Goreme, but I was able to coordinate everything through them for a surprise proposal. They have made so much effort to accommodate all my needs on the spot to make things happen. I have lost my wallet one morning, the staff did everything to help me find it, they have provided a bouquet for my proposal, they had a breakfast prepared for us on the terrace so we can enjoy the sunrise hot air balloon exposition. We left the hotel so sad because they made everything possible for us!

All the staff were very kind and friendly and always doing their best to provide us a very pleasent stay. The room was very clean and confortable and the breakfast with a lot of options to choose. We recommend Design Cappadocia Hotel to every person who wants to stay at Goreme and close to everything!

The staff were fantastic and helped us prior to the stay to book tours and transfers as well as provided an early checkin. Sam in particular was great. The breakfast was wonderful, the terrace to watch the balloons in the morning and see the night lights in the town were also great. The room itself was wonderful and had a great cave feeling to it. Overall, was a great stay and close to lots of things.

The toilet lid would not stay open at all. It was just a bit inconvenient. The noise level at night was not great. So if you're a light sleeper, it could be a problem.

The Design Cave hotel was perfect for me. For a solo traveler, I felt very safe. It was close to most amenities that are ideal for a tourist (e.g., restaurants, grocery stores, tourist attractions (hiking trails), and so much more). Most streets in Cappadocia are narrow & most cave hotels are on hill tops. The Design Cave hotel was easy to get a vehicle to drop you directly to the hotel entrance and conveniently located to walk around town. The staff were extremely kind to me. On the day of a photoshoot, due to the rain in the morning, it was canceled. The property is so lovely, that when the rain stopped, a staff still assisted me to take photos. I will never forget their kindness and generosity.

Everything was wonderful. If you like to have a pool on site, this hotel does not have one.

We loved everything. The emails prior to coming were prompt, helpful & professional. Yacup in reception went above & beyond to welcome us, guide us to the best sights ( he even drove us once) & had a lovely takeaway box prepared as we had an early flight. The location was great. Easy to get everywhere in Goreme. The room was comfortable & the hotel is tastefully decorated.

I think most people stay for 2-3 days & we stayed for six so it would have been nice to have a place to put our clothes instead of using the suitcase, but it was a minor (very minor) inconvenience.

This hotel is amazing! The location is great, a little bit outside the downtown but it was a lot more quiet and a very short walk to everything. They have a terrace where you can see the balloons each morning and the balloons get REALLY close which was fantastic. The staff was great and very accommodating, we booked the green tour with the reception and had a great time with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Breakfast is starts at 8am and they had a wide range of food available.

The beds were a bit hard and the AC was not very cold even at its lowest setting.
