The staff were very helpful and carried my bag up the stairs. There are three terraces to view the beautiful city and sunrise with the hot-air balloons. They are all set up with pillows and tea set and other decorations. There is a photographer there in the morning if you want someone to take pictures of you (for a few). The rooms are spotless, very well decorated, and huge! Breakfast was great and there were two kittens who wanted food, so cute. The hotel is built around a fairy chimney and really aesthetic. Also, for anyone taking a night bus after their stay at Zara Hotel, they have a separate bathroom with a shower you can use before your bus and they were so nice and gave me towels and soap etc.

I have to admit that I had high expectations of Cappadocia and our hotel. Zara Cave Hotel fulfilled every single expectation. The location was fantastic. Other cave hotels are at the top of the hills and are tough to trek up to, especially for people who are elderly. However, Zara Cave Hotel was conveniently located close to the center, yet still offered fantastic views of the balloons. I also appreciated that they have four terraces. That way the guests are more spread out and it does not feel crowded. The rooms were cozy and meticulously clean. The staff were so professional and welcoming. Every morning, there was a delicious, Turkish-style breakfast waiting for us. I booked several tours through the hotel, including a balloon ride and a sunrise photoshoot with their on-site photographer. We had a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience that we could remember through professional photos. This place is honestly a gem. Everybody in my party thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Zara Cave Hotel and I cannot recommend this place enough.

If you travel solo or as a couple, you will not have this problem but it was three of us and with one coach converted to a bed, there were no chairs or places to sit or chill inside the room unless you lay on a bed. Another minus star they have cozy places on terraces but furniture almost always was covered even when it was not raining so we could not take pictures two days in a row. Pillows were not comfy

A delightful cave hotel in the centre of the town Goreme. The rooms were incredibly spacious and very clean. There is always someone available at reception to help with any query you may have. Everyone from reception through to the breakfast staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The hotel does only offer breakfast, but the spread that is offered is brilliant and the kitchen is open all day everyday for full access to tea, coffee and pastries. There are also a number of picture perfect spots throughout the hotel grounds to watch the hot air balloons rise in the early morning or simply to relax during the day. Emre was our main contact for our stay in Cappadoccia and he was beyond kind and thorough in helping us to plan our trip and any of the excursions we wished to do. Correspondence started from when we first booked our stay at the Zara cave hotel and stayed with us for the next few weeks until our arrival. Emre took time to advise us on some of the best trips to do with our limited time there, checked in with us before our arrival and was always at hand to answer any query we had before our arrival to Turkey. We can't thank him enough for all his help. For anyone wishing to visit Cappadoccia, 3 days is all you need as that will allow you to do the early morning hot airballoon ride, rest and visit the local shops and do day tour (best to do a mixed tour - which blends the best bits of both red and green tours- instead of the standard ones). We highly recommend staying at the Zara Cave Hotel.

Emre the manager, and his staff were very helpful in every respect. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. The breakfast superb - as was the recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. We hired a guide recommended by Emre and did a self drive tour of the area, and this was just perfect for our family. We went on a balloon ride that was arranged through the hotel and this also, was perfect. The room had complimentary cold drinks, and tea and coffee. In the morning, the balloons flew over the hotel at low altitude - this was quite a spectacle.

We did a self drive tour in a people carrier (Peugeot traveller) and the roads within goreme are being revamped. So delivering and picking up the luggage was a little bit of a challenge. There is no on site parking, so we parked in the town which was a minor inconvenience, but one that we have seen often when staying in the historical portions of any of the older cities in Europe as a whole. This is no fault of the hotel, but it is worth knowing if you are going to do a similar self drive particularly with a big vehicle.

Our room , in a fairy chimney was unique. I believe it's the only one in this hotel. The location of the hotel was in town center, close to a lot of good restaurants. The hotel also has 4 terraces , from which great city views can be had. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is amazing with a wide spread. The staff was also helpful in arranging for tours and I believe that if you arrange two tours thru them, the return trip to the airport is free, usually costing 10 euros per person via a shuttle.

The additional bed in our room had a very hard and springy mattress.

Kitchen - Breakfast is in buffet mode (but a handsome man & lady will cook some tailor-made Omelet with cheese you wanted), always have some fresh orange juice in the morning. Very delicious & highly recommend. Kitchen in the rooftop, so that you have a beautiful view in the morning (sometime still have hot ballon fly at 8:30 am) Reception & staff - Very helpful & polite (sometime have hot tea & nuts for enjoying the night view in Zara Cave) House keeping - Very polite & cleaning service very well during our breakfast time (resume the original room view in short time) Location - near the bus station / Cafe / carpet shop / Souvenir shop / restaurant (all around 5 mins) 3 rooftop decoration for photo taking, can enjoy the hot ballon fly in the morning (around 6:30 am)

We had a fabulous stay at Zara Cave Hotel! The hotel communicated with us very well and accommodated our very late arrival. Staff were always very helpful and greeted us with a smile. The room was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Yes it was a bit dusty and yes we did smell a bit of damp but after all you are staying in a room carved out of a rock so you need to let nature run its course, there is nothing that can be done about it except for regular cleaning which the housekeeping team provided excellently. We had no issues with the wifi. Breakfast was delicious and the spread so wide that every day you could eat completely different things. The hotel was 3 minutes away from the town centre yet on a hill so the views were breathtaking. We already recommended Zara to our friends who are planning their trip for the autumn.

What an amazing Stay at Zara Cave Hotel. Room was so spacious, pretty and very clean. It was nice and cosy for the January winter nights. I loved that they had heated floors. Water preassure was great and we never ran out of hot water. Location was excellent close to everything. Also breakfast was super good and with a lot of options. The staff was super nice always willing to help. They arranged our transportation to and from the airport at a fair price and also our hot air baloon ride. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Zara Cave Hotel!

Beautiful hotel with amazing views! location is spot on - right in the city center with incredible views from the different terraces. the room was incredible! beautiful room, really well decorated, spacious, with heated floors, comfortable bed, sofa and with balcony. the hotel accommodates your schedules for tours, balloons, breakfast and activities which is nice. they even gave us blankets to wear on our balloon ride as it was so cold.

breakfast was average - always the same and not too much choice. Apart from that everything was truly amazing!
