View was exceptional, hotel beautiful and staff excellent. Having a pool during the middle of the day was a saviour. Breakfast was very good. Located within walking distance to the cafes, restaurants and shops. Staff very nice.

The only room with a balcony, room 401 had a terrible mattress that needs to be replaced, not acceptable. As the hotel was full we couldn't change rooms. Pool food was not great and very expensive.

We had a great few days at The Shoestring Cave House. The hotel is well located in Goreme, just a short walk to the centre. Our bed was comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, hot and cold. The Wi-Fi was good. The rooftop pool area is lovely with a small bar right beside it. Ahmed, the barman, is so nice and has a warm welcome and cold beer for everyone. The reception staff were great too and helped us plan day trips/airport transfers and answered any questions we had.

The shower could have been cleaner. We stayed in a deluxe cave room. There was a damp smell in the room but I think that probably goes with being a cave.

The breakfast was full of variety. They just keep on bringing more food unless you tell them to stop. My window had amazing view of the hot air balloon and sunrise every morning. All the terraces and rooftop have wonderful views. The hotel is beautiful yet it has all these even cuter spots. I couldn't explore it all in the 3 days I was there. Perfectly positioned rooftop for that hot air balloons pictures. The staff was wonderful and so helpful. BOOK YOUR LOCAL ACTIVITIES THROUGH THEM!!!!

We loved the hospitality and especially the promptness of staff. Aamir was very helpful at every point and also guided us to take best route for the tour.

The balcony room is on 3rd floor. If it's raining the steps can be slippery. If it doesn't rain you don't want to leave your beautiful room

Large room with a spa bath and big bathroom. Staff were friendly and very helpful in explaining and booking tours. Free breakfast was okay. Rooftop area to watch the balloons early in the morning. The pool area was a good size. Good location, a short walk to the main part of town.

No air conditioning built into the walls because it's a cave. The portable air conditioner was not very good at cooling the room. The space could have been utilised a bit better, like areas to store our bags, etc. All the tours, food and airport transfers needed to be paid in cash.

The hotel is a little gem off the main square in Goreme. It has comfortable rooms, a good Turkish style breakfast, and wonderful, caring staff that made my stay extremely pleasant. The room had a spacious bathroom and great water pressure with hot water.

I can't think of anything that I did not like. I was very pleased with the value and service of the hotel, and if/when I return to Cappadocia, I will certainly stay there.

We stayed 4 days at this hotel and enjoyed it at the maximum. From the first day of our trip we arrived a bit early, property was able to leave our luggage at the reception and suggested good restaurant nearby, as we have asked for it. Check in went smooth, staff is amazing, everything is very friendly and if you will have any question they are always ready to help. Reception is 24/7, so even when you will need a help with early/late transfer or balloon reservation, you won't stay alone. Also, the property offers good travel packs, many excursions, and balloon flights. Breakfast was wonderful with varieties for everyone (vegans, non-vegans, diet). Property is closed to every location in Goreme, many restaurants close, National park and walking areas. Rooms by themselves were warm, there is a central heating which can be regulated by yourself, so there is no problem with the temperature in the room. Room service is done every day.

Review for Shoestring Cave Hotel: My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shoestring Cave Hotel (1st to 8th September) as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We would like to express our utmost appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the general workers throughout our stay. From the friendly receptionists to the skilled handyman and the hardworking domestics in the kitchen, every member of the team contributed to making our experience truly remarkable. I had requested for our room to be decorated for our anniversary celebration, and the decorations exceeded my expectations. The receptionists - PouYas went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process, welcoming us with warm smiles and providing us with all the necessary information. We arrived at the hotel after midnight, and we were exhausted and hungry, and nearby restaurants were all closed, but PouYas went out of his way to find something for us to eat. The handyman at Shoestring Cave Hotel - Puriya deserves a special mention for his prompt and efficient assistance. Throughout our stay, he was always available to answer our questions and assist with any requests, offering a personalised and attentive service that made us feel valued as guests. Puriya's dedication to ensuring a comfortable and well-functioning environment is commendable. Furthermore, the domestics in the kitchen worked tirelessly to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency. The attention to detail and the quality of their work were evident in the immaculate condition of the dining area and the delicious meals served. Their commitment to providing guests with a delightful dining experience truly contributed to our overall satisfaction during our stay. No Netflix in the room we were in and yet on their website they say there is Netflix.

The location was perfect for us, and our room had a balcony (room 401) with perfect views to sit and watch the balloons. This isn't a criticism but there are a lot of steps in order to get the view so wouldn't be suitable for travellers that are unable to manage this. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly, the reception staff arranged trips and transfers for us, Ahmet the bar person always greeted us with a smile and warm welcome, the breakfast team put on an amazing breakfast and the rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels etc.

This property was perfect! The staff were by far the highlight with their above and beyond attitude. They assisted with everything you needed and helped with booking all the activities. The breakfast was exceptional with a lot of variety and for a large amount of time so you could enjoy some when you came back from the balloons. The room was very comfortable and sleeping in a cave meant it was peaceful and quiet - I had never slept so good. It was in a great location close to the major bus stop, shops and restaurants and a short walk to the best sunset point in Goreme. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
