A very cozy, intimate and clean hotel with a slightly homely atmosphere. Great location (10 minutes from mosques, many restaurants in the area, the hotel is connected to one of them, where hotel guests get a discount on delicious breakfasts). The hotel is right next to the Little Hagia Sophia mosque, which gives you a beautiful view (also sea view) and the opportunity to listen to the call to prayer (we absolutely love it!). The hotel also has a roof terrace with a beautiful view. The room was very cozy and bright. A large and extremely comfortable bed, table and fridge make the stay very satisfying. Moreover, a helpful and nice owner.

The hotel wifi only worked in the bathroom. Another disadvantage is the unpleasant smell coming from the drains in the toilet.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Little Sofia Hotel. We had our 5 month old baby with us and the room was a nice place for all of us. They provided us with a great wooden rocking crib for the baby. There was also a sofa chair that was a good place to nurse the baby. Aside from accommodations for the baby, our bed was also very comfortable and room service did a great job cleaning our room every couple of days. It is only a few minutes walking distance to all the most renowned historic sites of the neighborhood. Across the street is a small mosque and it was nice to hear the call to prayer each day. The owner, Mr Ali, was a great host. He was very responsive to our questions and needs.

Our only challenge was that a lot of the places we wanted to eat in Istanbul were not in the Sultanahmet neighborhood, and it took a while to walk to the metro (about 15 minute walk).

The location was perfect and the staff were extremely helpful even when I arrived at 2 AM for check in! The room was a decent size with a great view and right near all the main attractions so you can walk everywhere. You get a 15% discount with their lovely little restaurant connected that has a great breakfast.

The beds weren't the most comfortable in the world, but not terrible! I would also be aware that the hotel is directly across from a mosque so there is prayer multiple times a day over a very loud speaker which makes it sound like someone is singing in your room at 5am!

The location of the Little Sofia is perfect, it's right next to square where the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosques are. Apo is a fantastic host, who is always available to help. The room was what you needed it to be and was spacious enough. It's quiet, with a nice rooftop. There is a mosque right outside, so the view is just beautiful.

We were on the top floor and experienced a massive issue with ants, they were everywhere and got into everywhere. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and very creaky. I can sleep anywhere but my partner had issues.

Very polite staff which satisfied all our needs. Breakfast was good, not posh but I suppose this is common thing for all hotels in Istanbul. The hotel is located far from overcrowded streets. So it is quite calm and not noisy (if exclude morning and evening call for pray from the nearest mosque). Separate gratitude to Baphie (sorry, if misspelled) for serving breakfast and politeness. The hotel owner is very responsive and ready to help you with any issues. Our back transfer which we arranged by ourselves was being late and the hotel owner called to transport company, settled the issue and calmed us saying that it's just bad traffic. To sum up, we are very pleased that stayed in little sofia.

Since there is a mosque very close to the hotel, morning and evening call for pray mentioned below might interrupt sleep of some sensitive visitors. But I suppose it's just common for Istanbul. The staff seem to speak Russian not well. Not critical for us but can be crucial for some visitors.

Location is excellent, the view on Little Aya Sofia and the water is the nicest part, especially when the sunshine kicks in in the morning. Cozy little street too. The owner and manager are both very nice and helpful and respond very fast on whatsapp accommodating to any request or ask. Rooms are small, but very cosy and smartly put together having everything one needs and for the price, around this neighbourhood the price/quality is more than adequate. Airco is great and rooms are very warm. There’s a smart tv present with YT and Netflix. Great for evenings or young ones before bed if needed. No one bothers you and you have your key to enter and go as you please.

The bathroom had a very strong odour coming out of the plumbing. It disturbed the night’s rest for me at times. According to the owner it is due to the old neighbourhood sewer’s system. The room also had quite a few ants, so it needed a daily clean/swipe. The team cleaned daily, but by the evening the ants would be there again.

Excellent location - walking distance from all major sights, renovated building with fresh feel, a very quiet and nice area with restaurants and shops, super helpful owner Ali always responsive, great breakfasts next door to the hotel, the room was clean and spacious. An amazing deal without any caveats.

I really can't think of anything I did not like. But note that the hotel is opposite Mosk and there are prayers throughout the day - for me was not a problem. Also, the walls are thin, so you might hear the people in the other rooms.

The location was great. Very central for exploring the places I wanted to visit in Istanbul. Mr Oppo was really nice and hospitable and nice to talk to in general. I feel he is genuinely invested in his guests having a great stay. I appreciated that I was able to leave my luggage there when I checked out until I went to get my taxi to the airport. Mr Oppo also gave me a coffee while I waited and let me charge my phone in the cafe nearby which was really classy.

The breakfast is fine, but not so much to my taste. Maybe some extra choices for more western style breakfast would be nice. Cereal like Corn Flakes or granola with yoghurt and fruit. That kind of thing.

The location was in the historic district, walking distance from all the sights. When I asked the owner for recommendations for dinner, he walked me down the street and introduced me to the host of a restaurant -- I ended up eating there every night. Breakfast was family-run in a dining room next door. I stayed there in winter, but saw the lovely rooftop balcony where breakfast is served outside in warmer weather. The family hosts were wonderful! I would definitely stay here again.

To say the room has a "balcony" is slighly misleading -- there is simply a railing outside the French doors in the room. Great view of the ancient mosque across the street, and the sea just beyond, but not really a place to sit. Not a problem given the winter weather, however.

As a female traveler with a teenage son, I felt safe and taken care of. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the serene environment and proximity to some of the most significant landmarks and attractions. Charming view from the terrace, and lovely people, too :)

There is a gap under the door which allows insects (mosquitos, little moths) to get inside the room. Wasn't a big problem for us.
