I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The price/value ratio is exceptional! The hostel community was welcoming and very kind. As many reviews before me mentioned, the host Mert is a very sweet person and works very hard to make sure the guests feel comfortable during their stay. I went out with other people visiting the hostel frequently, had dinner with them and really enjoyed their company including the staff. I got to sleep in the 4 bed girl room for five nights although I had booked the bigger mixed dorm because there was an opening which was super kind! The beds were the most comfortable ones I’ve ever had in a hostel! There is a little basket for personal belongings you want to access quickly, an outlet and a lamp on the bedside - super convenient! Our room was also designed in a smart way that the bed light on one side of the room doesn’t blind the other side. There was also a big mirror with light and some hangers for coats// towels. Facilities were clean. There are community spaces including a kitchen and a work space with AC, perfect for people who work and travel at the same time. Among the most affordable and suitable spaces for digital nomads in Istanbul. There is a metro station just a few minutes by foot away from the property that brings you to my favorite part of Istanbul (that I’ve seen so far), Kaliköy, in about halft an hour. To get to the European Side you have to change once and it takes about an hour. It’s very reliable and I had no problems getting across the Bosporus but you should keep that in mind if you plan on doing sightseeing because most famous sights are quite far away.

Currently, there are only two bathrooms and one shower. That worked surprisingly well during my stay although the hostel was fully booked. As long as everybody is mindful about it, all is fine and Mert is currently working on adding the second floor of the building to the hostel to add more restrooms and showers as well. One last thing - I often went to bed late and because the sun was rising on our side of the building and we had no AC in the room it got very hot and bright early in the day which made it difficult to get enough sleep, but that’s in part due to my choice of bedtime. If you are an early riser and plan on being out in the city the majority of the day, the room is perfect! Also, sidenote, the bigger mixed room does have AC.

Everything was just perfect. It is located in residence area where you get to eat lower price meals before heading to expensive downtown restaurants. The bathrooms that are even better than the 4 stars hotels. 3 mins away from the metro or ferry that takes you virtually to everywhere. 2 metro stations away from the IST airport bus. 2 mins from a hypermarket, if you walked faster. Lockers that are big enough to put your entire luggage. This trip was a last minute decision trip. The choice for the hostel wasn’t done throughly due to work/lack of time, but it proved that it was the best choice, because the owner Mert, who is so attentive caring talented smart hardworking wonderful amazing (and super cute & handsome 😻😍😻) made it possible by thinking outside of the box by all means and made my trip/stay a successful one. He is always willing to take time from his busy schedule and advise his guests of whatever inquiries they might have.

I wish i had something bad to say, but it is simply impossible. For the effort, the vision, the time, the concept and care the owner Mert had for his guests, which were his first priority, charging TL 450 was N-O-T-H-I-N-G. I had traveled the world and stayed in dozens of hostels and there is no way you would get this ridiculously low price for the high modern quality you get. Get ready and book early. They are easily full.

Manu Startup House is a modern affordable accommodation in Istanbul (Asia side near Bostanci metro). I booked a deluxe room (double bed) for more privacy with shared bathroom (shower & toilet). Also, you can book single beds in 4, 6, 8 dorm style. The place has everything you need whether you are travelling on leisure or business from fast wi-fi, kitchen with utensils, dining area, water, work space, lounge in main office and even a theatre/projector room to watch movies. All your needs such as ATM, metro, supermarket, bakery, restaurants, pharmacy, gym etc. are in close proximity. In summary, an ideal location with comfortable & safe home feel for all travellers & digital nomads. Most importantly, Mert - owner is very hands-on with all your needs and assistance. He will always make sure that you have the best stay possible. I highly recommend this place for a short or long term stay in Istanbul. Thank you Mert! See you soon.

The place needs additional showers as it can get crowded during peak times. Mert, the owner, is looking to add more showers to accommodate the needs of his guests in the near future.

First thing is people: pure hostel vibe, staff is extremely helpful and I could felt like at home even with one night stay! Secondly, facilities - I could iron my things, leave luggages after the checkout. Third - location is nice, close to the SAW and 24/7 open pastry shop next to the building.

I've stayed in many hostels in my life, and without a doubt this was the best. As a digital nomad, this hostel offered me a good structure to work, while also allowing me to have fun with guests from all over the world. The hostel has a new and beautiful structure, everything works perfectly, it is clean, comfortable and safe. I will forever remember my stay and experience here. I recommend it to everyone.

I've enjoyed my stay in this hostel so much, to say the least. I've had the real hostel experience meeting people from all over the world and socializing with them and making new acquaintance. The hostel provides all the necessities for your comfort. The hostel gets cleaned so regularly that the number of people that come and stay doesn't affect the level of cleanness of the hostel. I liked the location of the hostel; it offers easy access to Sabiha airport by metro, the metro station is 3min away, as well as to the high-speed train station, a few bus stations away. Also, the hostel is located in a nice calm area so you get to enjoy a more authentic side of istanbul while also being close to everything using public transport. There's a grocery store under and restaurants around the place. The staff are very nice, helpful and flexible. I would definitely recommend it whether for long or short stays.

Heartworming, nice, new place. Hostel occupies the sixth floor of a residential building. Is located in 5-7 min from metro station Bostanci and 40 min from SAW airport. I stayed at a women 4-beds room on my way to North Macedonia and then after a couple of days before going home. All is clean and brand new. The beds are stable, made of iron. Every bed has a socket and a small lamp. Linen is clean and new. I had a nice company of young travelers in my room. The people, working at the hostel are amazing - always ready to help, to solve all the problems. Evenings they play board games with the residents, or watching movies in a special room. Tea and coffee is for free, towels 50 liras per day. Kitchen has everything you need, is possible to cook. At the hostel everything is set up just like at home, you can talk to an owner in an informal way... When I came for the first time the owner - Mert - gave me his phone number and told me to call him if I have any problems in Turkey. My favorite hostel in Istanbul, will be back soon together with my son.

This is exactly one of the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in Istanbul Turkiye! The place is strategical near bus and subway stop. Very quiet area with a supermarket just downstairs! The place is super clean, the staff are just amazing!! I felt welcomed since the first day i keep extending my stay because of how much i like this place! Definitely worth the money, even more! They staff are very helpful and very kind! Special thanks to Ikbar (I hope i didn’t say it wrong) and Mert!!

Nothing everything is perfect!

Perfect place for me. It surprised me how well thought this place is and how well provided everything is. Every bed is very big with a curtain (which sounds pretty stupid but it really gives you a lot of privacy, wish i had that in every hostel) a light that you can use without fear because it doesn't reach the other beds, current to charge your devices and place to leave your things. The showers are almost better than the one in my house 😂. they have purified tap water, refrigerator, kitchen... also is very well suited for digital nomads. The staff was also very friendly 谢谢 And also ive seen people complaining about the location. Its not in the turistic area but its just beside the subway and kadiköy is 20min from there... really can't complain If you wanna visit the asian side, 100% recommended
