Everything. It is a small hotel but it has everything you need. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very quiet. The personnel were very friendly and always ready to help us. Special thanks to Ali who was very supportive during our stay. The terrace for breakfast had beautiful views to the city and the breakfast was very good with some different choices every day. The location was good. It is one street behind the Galata Tower, the street as such was very dirty but it is so close to Galata Tower that it evens out. We feel the price was good for the hotel.

The hotel staff Sevval is very gentle, helpful. Breakfast was tasty and rich of delishes cookies, fruits, vegetables, cheese, omlet, tasty coffee.. The room is big and comfortable. The cleaning is very very good and every day! Every day they bring 2 bottles of water.

It's not about the hotel, but the street is very very dirty, next to hotel is garbage from all area, and in the night the car come to take it off, what make so much noise.

The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, breakfast with the view on Old istanbul, rooms are very clean and confortable.

Only the street. It should be cleaner because it is the first impression of a traveler.

Staff provided great hospitality. The breakfast was diverse and tasty. The location of the hotel is 1 street away from Galata-tower (30m approx.) and also close to Sishane M2 metro line and to Istiklal Cd.

Despite the proximity to Galata-tower, the street of the hotel's was full of trash and didn't give comforting feeling. Last morning I couldn't have breakfast because of early flight and although lunch box was discussed and so called pre-arranged, I didn't get it in the morning, the morning receptionist didn't know anything about it.

Great location, next to the Galata Tower! The rooms are a bit smaller than expexted but still comfortable. The rooms are being cleaned daily and the staff is so thoughtful, they even left a welcome treat in our room with a personalized message. The breakfast doesn't include a great variety but it is still enough to get you started for the day, considering the price! Thank you for the comfortable stay!

The street is right behind the Galata Tower where most of the shops leave their rubbish late at night for the rubbish truck to pick up. Well it wasn't a problem for us as the hotel is great value for money but maybe it's something you should keep in mind.

The staff was very nice. Extremely helpful and smiley, friendly as well.. Rooms are nice and well designed. From the guys in reception, to the house keeping, guest relationship, kitchen all were very nice..

It is shown as with an elevator so we booked accordingly. However there is a misinformation here that, it has two buildings in where there are hotel part and apartment type of rooms.. In apartment types (kitchen included) there is no elevator.. No balcony. So a smoker should go all the way down. . Also might be tiring at some poitn...+ For breakfast, you have to go downstairs, go out from the building, enter the other building, take the elevator and go to the fifth floor.. Apart from these (still not a big deals) it was perfectly valued for the stay and cost of it.

Great hotel staff, facilities and location

No fault of the hotel but alley on which hotel is located is not that clean though the alley right next to it is clean and super busy.

I am incredibly happy with my entire experience at Meroddi La Porta! First of all, I booked it last minute and I literally went to Meroddi an hour after booking my room. The moment I went there and was welcomed by Mr Ali, I felt that place like home, and the moment I entered my room, I felt even happier. What I saw were nice, modern, and clean facilities, enough space for luggage, a nice big bed that is very comfortable by the way with beautiful pillowcases with silver embroidery. The lamps on the night stands look great and the drawers of the night stands are quite large. The desk is comfortable, there are paper sheets, napkins, a pencil. The kitchenette comes in handy with a small kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom looks excellent as there is lots of space to place your bathroom essentials, the toothbrush holder didn’t have a single spot, the glass doors of the shower cabin were spotless, and so was everything else. The bath products were high-quality and smelled lovely. A beautiful modern spacious room that was cleaned every day, towels and sheets were changed every day. Every was excellent. I thank the entire team of Meroddi, especially Ms Sevgi, Mr Murat and Ali, the chef and the waiter, and everyone else. I fell in love with this hotel and I’ll be back as soon as possible.

We recently spent 10 nights celebrating our honeymoon at this charming hotel in the heart of Istanbul, right next to the iconic Galata Tower. The housekeeping staff made sure our room was meticulously cleaned and refreshed every day, adding to the overall comfort. The highlight of our mornings was the breathtaking view from the terrace during breakfast. Overlooking the city's mosques and the Galata Tower, it was the perfect start to each day. The breakfast spread was delicious and offered a variety of options to suit every palate. The staff were exceptionally responsive and friendly, always going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was helping with directions, arranging transportation, or simply offering a warm smile, their dedication to hospitality truly stood out. The location was unbeatable—just steps away from the Galata Tower and conveniently close to the metro, tram, and other transportation options, making it easy to explore Istanbul's rich history and culture.
