Location was excellent!! Right on Istiklal St and close to shopping, food options and the historical Galata Tower as well as the Metro station. The atmosphere around the hotel was very vibrant and exciting. The room was good and the hotel upgraded us to an Executive room. The breakfast options were very good.

The bathroom door did not have a lock! That was a bit uncomfortable. The hotel did not offer free drinking water on a daily basis, except on the first day. There is no direct access for cars at the hotel entrance (city regulations), which makes the carrying of luggage (especially if you have many bags!) a bit cumbersome but the hotel staff was very helpful and more than made up for this issue.

The overall feel of this hotel is really good. Add to this the amazing hotel location which makes it a worthwhile place to stay at for a few nights. Would definitely want to stay here again.

The breakfast could be better in taste and variety. One thing that I found strange was that water was only available to the guests on the first day, that too only a single bottle. After that something as basic as water was needed to be purchased. The other hotels around Turkey that I have stayed at offer complimentary water bottles every day.

Location is great ! Breakfast is very good with great variety. Quiet rooms - no noise from the street. Staff very helpful. Will stay there again. Will recommend to any traveler going to Istanbul.

That taxi/transfer can't stop at the hotel entrance. BUT the location make up for this. Tourist desk can improve (also to assist how transport work in Istanbul).

Location is unbeatable. However that comes with disadvantages. Fox example our cab couldn’t bring us all the way to the hotel as it is right on istiklal street. We had to drag our suitcases for 150 meters. Not a big deal for us but if I had my family/kids it would have been a painful experience. Room Amenities are standard.

Breakfast Food is subpar. Cleaning service was good but bare minimum. I’ve previously stayed in other hotels in Istanbul that prepare on site gozleme. Coffee was the probably not the greatest strength either. When I asked the waiter for a cappuccino, he pointed to a machine basically telling me to get it myself. Pillows are beat up. Water is not free except for first day.

Very warm welcome from the staff. There was even a greeting card and a plate with delicious snacks as a welcom present. I would like particularly mention Mert and Kerem for exceptional service. Location was great as well , literally 2 min walk to the metro station and in the proximity of numerous bars and shops. Rooms are very clean and there was no noise from the streets.

Only minor remark: Part of the the lights in the bathroom were not working. Even though we mentioned at the reception desk that the light was not working, it was not fixed.

The location is amazing, in always busy famous Istiklal street, and close to the underground/metro station, and also close to the red tram stopping point. Istiklal street is full with different shops, and you will never get bored. Hotel staff members were very kind and helpful, breakfast was great. Special thanks to Ms. Suat (Guest relations) for beautiful and warm welcome card, and welcome gift (snacks). And special thanks to the restaurant manager for helping me find Aluminum foil to wrap my cold sweets (that require cool temperature). Also thank you for a big room for three people, even though we had ordered a standard room for two, it was vey kind. Moreover, it’s very convenient that the hotel has its own weighing scale, especially when checking whether your luggage has exceeded the weight limit.

Even though our room was big and the beds were comfortable, unfortunately the bathroom door is matted glass door and it doesn’t lock 🔒, and everything is visible and hearable through the door gap. It is very uncomfortable, considering that the room has separate beds and is designed for three separate individuals (friends). I would strongly suggest to change the bathroom door! What is more, unfortunately, for all three days, we had to call and ask for bottle of water (that is free), normally hotels just put them in the room once a day. And every time we called to ask for water (which they initially hadn’t put), they would require payment for second water claiming that the first one was free, however we would have to explain that we did not get our first free water in first place.

I have been to Richmond hotel before and it was an amazing experience, and now that I came back to turkey after two years, I had to stay here for the great and welcoming treatment of Mr. Serkan (reception), Serkan (F/B), Engin and Cazim. They care for every detail in our stay and make us feel like a part of their family, we really enjoy chatting with them. They check on us daily and look for us if they didn’t see us. I would also like to thank Mrs. Delara and Birgul at the hotel’s restaurant for being so welcoming and greeting us with big smiles, and if one of us skipped going to the restaurant they would ask and check on us. Special thanks to Mr. Serkan and Engin from the reception for helping in our reservation and upgrading us to the executive floor, that was a really nice and thoughtful gesture. Also many thanks to the beautiful Mrs. Fatma and Mr. Ali from housekeeping. And for anyone needing a tour guide, Mr. Serkan from the reception is the one you have to ask! I never needed to ask anyone for directions and details. He helps me create an A-Z plan for each day of our stay, and choosing the easiest and fastest transportation route to the place I want to go.

The hotel was amazing!! on Istiklal Street. We took a vacation for our honeymoon and the hotel upgraded us with an amazing suite with a gorgeous view of the Bosphorus. What's more, the breakfast was really, really good and varied, every day there was a different type of food - we can't describe how much we enjoyed in Richmond hotel and we will surely return to this hotel many more times!! The staff was amazing helped us with our luggage and even gave us a free late check out!! We must mention Mr. Mert, Mr. Sarakan and Mrs. Suet who were amazing and smiling every time !! worth every pound!!!!

Clean and comfortable Hotel ideally situated directly on Ishtiklall street Taksim, the tourist heart of Istanbul. The front desk and reception personnel were extremely helpful and went the extra mile to assist everytime. Breakfast was good and hearty. Rooms had all the required amenities. Even though we had an extremely busy street facing room, there were no sounds audible from the street below..The hotel was centre to all the tourists attractions, some within walking distance. The hotel is centre to major stores, shopping centres and bazaars. Will definitely return to this property during my next stay in Istanbul.

The location is right in the center of everything you want to see or shop at in Istanbul. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was also met our expectations. The staff is the best part and they are the best. Specially I want to thank Ilyas. He was great in understanding us and was very helpful and informative.

The Iron is not provided for each room and we should have asked for it for just one hour and return it back to the hotel. I think this was not at the level of other metrics for the hotel. Another thing was that our bed was not comfortable for two people. The middle part of our bed was going more down during our sleep.
