The location is excellent (around 5 mins to walk to tramway, 10 mins to Metro), you have groceries' shops around, restaurants and other clothes and souvenirs shops. The room was clean: towels were changed everyday; toiletries, water, coffee and tea were refilled if emptied. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay: refrigerator, hair dryer, clean linens and MOST IMPORTANT for Istanbul: soundproof windows and walls. Also, the hotel has an elevator and the hotel staff was really friendly.

Not really something to complain about, but I would have appreciated if the everyday cleaning paid more attention to floors. The breakfast was a little monotonous (but the ingredients were fresh and alltogether provided all you need for a good start of the day). Also, something the room would need for a better sleep: curtains that cover the whole window, not just a part of it.

We stayed in the hotel in late May 2024. The hotel is in central location where most of the things including restaurants and famous attractions are on walking distance. There is also a supermarket nearby. Tram station is 5 to 10 minutes walk. The rooms are a bit small but it was very clean & comfortable and sufficient for a couple and a child. Washroom was also very clean and everything was in perfect working condition. Hotel room housekeeping was done on a daily basis. Bottled water was available in the lifts or from reception for free. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with food heating up and iron was also available on request. AC, fridge and locker was also fitted in the room. There were enough sockets to charge multiple things. WiFi speed was also very good. We totally recommend this hotel due to very friendly and helpful staff, central location and value for money.

Hotel location is on a slope but it didn't bother us as it was just 5 minutes walk uphill towards the main road.

Everything was ok, the staff was friendly, the room was cleaned every day, and we were always provided with water and tea. For us, it wasn't a big issue, but we noticed other people commenting on the traffic noise and the hotel's location on a slope, which is true, but it didn't bother us at all. The location is very close to the tram and major attractions and restaurants, which helped us a lot. We will gladly return

In real life the room is pretty the same you expect to see based on photos. I knew it will be small but turned out I was not prepared to it to be small. Overall cozy but may be uncomfortable for two persons. Just one chair, tiny table. Just keep it in mind

The first night was practically without sleep, cause the neighbor room was occupied by some business guy. He talked a lot on phone (and I could even hear the other person). Later he had numerous visitors and again loud phone calls till 3am. So the point is: be ready that the sound insulation is absent. But the street outside was unexpectedly calm in night hours.

Stayed for 6 nights in two double rooms next to each other. Therefore we didn't have any issues with loudspeaking neighbours etc. In peak season may be difficult to book such a set-up. Rooms clean. Room size - not too small but could be bit bigger. I'd say standard/sufficient. Breakfast served in foyer (perhaps due to very few guests), which has pros and cons - small tables but with the view on a busy street. No remarks. Not most quiet street but locations is really good - pretty close to T1 tram line (very useful one, crossing with lot of other tram/metro/ferry lines). Couldn't be much better but for sure could've been worse (seen many hotels in dark, not so well maintained streets). Muezzin's call is unavoidable and audible everywhere, but that's something that you just must accept going to Istanbul. Very friendly and helpful staff + allowed us to leave the bags until cab arrival.

No coffee maker. But if you like instant coffee then it doesn't matter. Had to put here something, nobody's perfect ;)

Receptionists were very nice and answered our every question. Room was just like the pictures. We got fresh towels, coffee and bottled water everyday, also staff cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast was same everyday, but delicious. Also, location of the hotel is great, few minutes away from Grand Baazar and tram station.

very good location very kind and helpful stuff from the moment we checked in to the check out , especially velid 🙂 we arrived very late and found fruits in the room for free 🙂 close to a mini shop close to tramway station and transportation in general 24h/24h check in very clean and new furniture excellent price quality ratio smells very nice good shower fair noise isolation the room is cleaned in a daily basis small rooms but not bad good air conditioning English speaking stuff

Very good breakfast spread. Fantastic location -- very close to tram stop in old town area. Staff very attentive and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower quite nice (although one morning it never got very warm).

Supposed deadbolt locking mechanism on the door was able to be opened by card from the outside. No "Do not disturb" door hangers. Cigarette smoke filtering through the room from the building.

The nicest place we’ve stayed at during our entire 3 months of travelling! After flying and taking a long bus, then walking 30 minutes with heavy luggage, we were so surprised and grateful for a last minute upgrade! We could finally relax on the comfiest bed in the world, freshen up in the biggest shower, then chill on the balcony with a glass of wine ❤️ The staff were super nice and helped us out with ordering taxis, advising where to go and how to get the transport card. Location was brilliant, from the hotel, turn right up towards the university to head to all the main areas. Don’t walk any other way otherwise you’ll get caught amongst the wholesale streets which are crazy 😂 We’d definitely recommend the Serai Hotel!
