This is the 2nd time I've stayed here - 1st time was in 2014. Amazing location, super close to all the action, but what made it for me was the staff. Hats off and congratulations to the friendly and excellent service from everyone at Sura. The staff all seemed genuinely happy and keen to give us the best service and experience possible. Special mentions to Kadir, Hunni, Uluc and Sulayman at the concierge and reception, as well as Edanur, Sezgin and Ni at breakfast :)

The staff were absolutely amazing,made us feel welcome, they were very helpful. Provided us with upmost care when we needed it. The Bell boys were very helpful. Managers made sure our stay was to satisfaction. I would like to say thank you to Sulieman, Salman the receptionist. Hanieh & Sezcin who made my daughters stay a memorable one. Would return back again and stay at the Sura Design Hotel.

The breakfast was not great, bread was very hard, toaster was not working, the variety was not appealing not confidential. But the staff did make what we wanted pancakes so delicious.

Location perfect for a weekend break seeing the sights

Preferred to eat breakfast at Hagia Sophia. More choice, more spacious however Sura Design terrace had a better view. Toilet dripped all the time. TV didn't work Couldn't get safe to work. View from balcony poor

The service from everyone at Sura Design was excellent. Especially Ilham - thank you. The bed was very comfortable, the gym had everything we needed. Please note, you have to walk across to the opposite connecting Sura Hotel to access the gym and pool but this is ok! It's extremely close. This hotel is perfectly situated in Sultanahmet area, where all of the main attractions are within walking distance and you get to spend more of your time in the beautiful "old" traditional area of Istanbul. We loved our stay and would definitely book here again next time.

These are only minor issues, as mentioned, it would not stop be from booking here again: (1) The room styling was quite outdated. It still was bright and clean but there is a lot going on in the rooms (gold trimming everywhere which is getting old, bright colours, etc) which is not very relaxing. (2) The shower was small, again gold trims were rusting and rubber was falling apart so water was going everywhere. We still slept very well and had wonderful service, which is the more important thing.

The stay was very pleasant. We have already stayed at Sura hotel 10 years ago and this time came with children. Everything was perfect and the staff was very kind to help except there were some small issues.

• there was no body lotion at all and there were no separate shampoo and conditioner. Last time during our stay there were these products so I did not bring anything with me and was surprised not to find them. • the extension wire was not working so we had to change the wire from kettle to the minibar • the carpet was not clean for the baby to crawl

Fantastic location. Stone's throw from the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. Tram Station very close by and makes it easy to get to other parts of town. It is a stylishly decorated hotel with comfortable rooms.Food was fantastic. The cherry on top were the staff- they have a fantastic team who have been very helpful through out our stay.

The only one minor negative thing I have to say is the sound proofing of the room doors. They are light doors and if anyone is talking in the corridor it feels like they are talking inside your room!

Room was nice. It has an en-suite bathroom. Fresh soft towels. Breakfast buffet had many options and was only £12 It was delicious! You can see the mosques from the hotel room it was a nice view. We woke up to the sound of the azan every morning.

More bottles of water for coffee / tea and general drinking. It would have been great if the mini fridge was filled with water too. The duvet sheets weren’t buttoned up so found that a bit odd. But they did change it last minute from a double bed to two singles. The bed and duvet itself was comfortable and I slept like a baby.

Everything! The location was amazing, 5 minutes from the beautiful hagia Sophia, sultan Ahmet mosque, the basilica and the tram to take you to all other locations like galata tower. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and despite the street it's on has restaurants that are open late, we did not hear a sound in the room. But the most amazing part of our stay at this hotel which I now call my home in İstanbul is the staff! They were very welcoming, helpful, made sure we had everything we needed, made us truly feel like we were at home and even better. Thank you Ömer, İlham and the staff for giving us a home in İstanbul to come back to again in the future and thank you for making us a part of your family. Everything was perfect.

I went with my family . I would say this hotel for me was a Perfect hotel for a family stay . Balcony and balcony seating was perfect for an outdoor coffee with ur loved ones . Bedroom and bathroom was spacious enough. Bed was big was very comfortable . Location is outstanding with many restaurants , iconic tourist spots nearby and also the Tram station was 4 mins walk away. Staffs very very nice , friendly and helpful . Especially the manager Ms. Elham was very helpful and kind thru-out my stay with my family .

Wi-Fi was slow . Buffet Breakfast was normal. Not many varieties as compared to the other Sura hotel.

Breakfast is delicious,..so many options! Rooms were very cozy and quiet. Great value for the price as there are many other hotels near this for the same price but they do not have 24hr room service, a sauna,.steam room, large bathrooms, tea (all day),...and simply a well maintained place with a birght and lovely atmosphere. Staff is incredible and helpful. Bathroom was very clean. Beds SUPER comfortable.

Carpet in the room could use a cleaning but it was still fine. It was not gross by any means.
