Great looking hotel, well kept, excellent location, both walking to major attractions and for local restaurants and shops, friendly multilingual staff ready to help, rooftop breakfast with a va view of Hagia Sophia, updated shower, new sound proof windows (important in central Istanbul), and a very friendly welcome.

It is a boutique hotel, these rooms are quite small for two people, although we managed. The tv was relatively small and the channels that worked were non HD and mostly German. Would be nice to have a socket with a non-EU adaptor or at least a USB charger. The “Love” balloon and electric candles used as part of the welcome decor were removed next morning, I assume to use for other guests. We didn’t mind but would be nice if they asked. These were minor things, overall we were satisfied with our 4 nights stay.

We loved our stay at the White House Istanbul hotel. The staff are lovely and very caring. They will keep breakfast open for longer if anyone is not well, for example. Or they will bring food/drinks to your room. On our arrival, they arranged early check-in and provided an extra child bed in our room free of charge! The breakfast staff prepared special omelette on our request also and were only so happy to do this for us every day! The staff and owner Mr Harun are also very helpful in providing information for travellers. The location is amazing, a short walk to Sultanahmet and, in my view, the best place to stay in Istanbul. The drinks station is open 24 hours to enjoy any hot drinks at the roof, and the views of the Aya Sofya, Topkapi, and Bosphorus are amazing!

Some points where there can be improvements - One mattress in our room was not too comfortable. The windows, even when fully closed, allow smoke and noise to come in from outside. Behind the hotel, there is some printing factory so it can get noisy also because of the seagulls outside. However, overall, we had a lovely stay and a memorable one.

White House: Delightful boutique hotel in amazing location Pros: - They set expectations right by sending an email right off the bat to let you know that it’s a boutique hotel and not a 4 or 5 star hotel - They respond to emails promptly. (I’d asked whether they have a hot tub; they don’t.) - Great, atmospheric location: you feel like you’ve really stepped into old Istanbul (albeit modernized, and not messy—just quirky and cute) - Everyone goes the extra mile; e.g., we got upgraded from a triple to a family room free of charge - We were offered a welcome drink (orange juice) and a piece of Turkish delight on arrival - Rooms are a good size given the location. That said, don’t expect a ginormous space - While hotel is very tasteful dinner, with a sort of royal, opulent (think shiny) aesthetic, but in pastel shades (so it’s not gaudy) - A largish closet to put clothes in - Very quiet room—despite being in the thick of things

Cons: - Water in the shower wasn’t hot yo begin with (even after letting it run for over 3 minutes), so called the front desk and they immediately fixed it - Phone is not typical: they went for old-world charm, and vibes they have an info sheet stuck to the base of the phone for how to use it (e.g., call “0” for reception), but I’m quibbling here - Key has to be inserted a certain way for power to come in - Breakfast was good, but not great

The hospitality of the staff is exceptional. Harun made sure that our stay was more than comfortable. They offered us complimentary breakfast on the day of arrival, though it was not part of the deal. We were even treated with a room upgrade looking at our kid. The choice of breakfast and the rooftop is beyond expression. They even customise the choice based on your needs. The hotel and rooms are impeccable. Super clean, very neat, and bedding. Minibar in each room. The location of this hotel is 100 out of 10. 5 mins walking distance from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, underground Basilica Cistern, Topyaki Palace, Grand Bazaar and a variety of food joints offering indian, Arabic food options with KFC, Burger King and Mc Donald at your door steps. No need to change hotels for visiting different parts of cities as the Sultanahmed tram station is about 5 mins walk. If you are visiting Istanbul, the best place to stay with more than value for money.

There is nothing that you can't like about this place

A very special place indeed. Centrally located to see all the local sites within a few minutes walks. Lots of restaurants nearby and even supermarkets which is even more important with two small children! The staff were very very attentive and made our stay easy and enjoyable. A special mention goes to the hotel owner Harun for his generosity and making sure our stay was to our expectations and also to the hotel manager Malik who checked in with us every day to give us ideas, hints and tip as well as general chit chat :). Also to mention the exceptional service received from Omer, Onur, Kemal, Harry Potter, Breakfast Manager and the lovely lady who worked with him. Definitely worth staying here if you are visiting Istanbul.

The hotel is nice enough. Comfortable bed, good breakfast and lovely breakfast terrace with views over the city. Amazing location!! But the best thing about this hotel is the hospitality. We requested an early check in, and while not promised, was provided. We arrived at 8am and by 9am we were checked in and asleep. Comfy beds too! We were a group of three and I loved that they have three separate beds, not a double and sofabed like you get in many hotels. We also requested a later check-out and the hotel happily accommodated this too! Cannot fault the service and the location, both 5*

Rooms were a bit dated but were clean. It was hard for our taxi to find this hotel. Limited parking. Breakfast was typical Turkish spread but if you're gluten- or dairy-free you might struggle.

I stayed with my family in two rooms in February at this beautiful hotel in one of the most attractive and tourist-friendly areas. Since our arrival we have been received and treated with extreme kindness by everyone at the hotel, from the friendly owner to all the other employees, manager, maids, etc. The manager was always attentive and friendly to our needs, indicating the best options in the city. We are Brazilians and don't understand the local language, but the manager helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was served by very kind and professional staff, preparing everything for a perfect start to the day. That's why we thank you and recommend White House.

Everything perfect

The hotel was amazingly situated and the staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. We were even allowed to have a free late check out as our flight was later in the day upon our departure, which made a huge difference for us. The hotel staff also recommended amazing places to eat, rang taxis for us when we needed to get somewhere, and overall treated us with an incredible amount of carefulness.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike about this stay. The only thing I can think or is perhaps a little more variety in the breakfast would have been nice, but it's a good basic breakfast.

We stayed in the White House Hotel for 6 nights for our small family reunion in Istanbul (occupied 3 rooms) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel management and staff do everything to make you feel welcome and accommodate your wishes. The rooms are are clean and spacious, bathrooms are modern and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable, we slept so well we could have missed all the sightseeing :-). The hotel is located in the heart of the old town in 5-10 minutes walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and a myriad of restaurants with delicious food. Hotel has a roof-top terrace where they serve breakfast and where you can use a coffee machine 24x7 which is very nice.

The hotel is a lovely boutique experience. From the start , we were impressed with the friendly staff , Nothing was too much trouble and they always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed . They also upgraded one of our rooms so our daughters could stay on the same level and close to our room which we were very grateful for. They were always very gracious, helpful and obliging. The hotel is very comfortable , warm and inviting including a pleasant aroma which was always very nice to return to each day after exploring the city. :) it is decorated in a lovely traditional style and has many personal touches including welcome and farewell gifts, (evil eye trinket, refreshments, Turkish delight and tea) personal handwritten welcoming letter, beautifully decorated room with candles and petals and small bottle of red wine . We were always met with a very welcoming greeting and treated like friends , often offering us their delicious hot apple tea and a sweet morsel which was very much appreciated in the cold weather . The hotel is in a very convenient location to numerous restaurants, shops, markets, and some of the major tourist highlights only a 10 minute walk away. What really stood out was the amazing staff . I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back next time we visit Istanbul. Thank you for a wonderful stay
