Great location. Hotel and area felt safe for single female. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable.

Room fine for single occupant but would have been a little small for a couple. Larger rooms are available, mine was standard.

We spent 10 nights at the Antusa Palace Hotel in Istanbul which is centrally located in the old town and a short walk to the Sultanahmet Tram stop (T1), the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, the Hippodrome, the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, the Archaeological Museum and several other major museums. We were very happy with the location. The hotel sits on a relatively flat section at the top of a moderate hill several blocks from the Tram below. Istanbul is quite hilly in general with many steep cobblestone streets and this should kept in mind when selecting your place to stay. We had a family room which was two separate connecting hotel rooms with doors to the hallway as well as a connecting doorway between the rooms. There were lockable doors on both sides of the connecting doorway. The buffet style breakfasts which included fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, humus, cheeses, boiled and scrambled eggs, cold cuts, a selection of breads, butter, honey, desserts, etc as well as selections of tea, coffee, mocha, hot chocolate etc were great. The friendly front desk crew were very helpful too.

We found out that cigarette smoking is very common in Istanbul and this was also true in the hotel room area. There was no separation between smoking and nonsmoking rooms and we smelled cigarette smoke most of time when in the hallways. Our room was small with a full sized bed, closet, table and a small refrigerated mini bar under the table with some space available for personal items. There was not enough space in the room for a chair, a chest of drawers or an extra bed. This limited space and layout might be common in Istanbul, but we have no information about other hotels in the area. We adapted to the limited space after several days. We do not know whether or not smaller rooms and lack of separation of smoking and non-smoking rooms are typical in the area

The service and the kind staff is a real strength of this place. Try their hamam, it is really good! The location is the best possible, in 15 min: blue mosque, bazar, Topkai saray, Aya Sofya and more. The restaurant is good, the service is very good and friendly, but I was surprised by the pide from the microwave. There are better places in Beyoğlu, just a few tram stops away (actually take T1 to Karaköy, than the F2 Tünel to Galata tower). (I would not recommend the Bosphoros cruise: they book a really good table, but… the food is so poor, the ship just swirls around after taking you from Kabatas after the first bridge. The music/entertainment, well, second hand embarrassment.) Before I forget: if the cleaning lady asks you if your room needs to be cleaned, she means it, so there is no cleaning, unless you clearly say yes.

The constant noise from some air handling units, so we had to stay with closed windows all the time.

Excellent perfect location very close to historic sites like Blue Mosque, Grand bazaar, AyaSofia and Topkapi Palace. Hotel is very near to Sultanahmet tram T1 stop and is one minute walk away and the line T1 connects you to all the major attractions. The Family Connecting room was very clean and comfortable with all needed necessities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They really did try to meet all your needs within no time. Especially Mr Aykut and Mehmet at reception desk. They were really professional and swift in their response to fulfil the needs of the guests. Well done Aykut and Mehmet. Restaurant was very good and restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly.. The breakfast had a lot of local food. I will highly recommend this hotel to the first time tourists. You will be taken care of by the awesome staff members.

Really nothing.

It was my first time in Istanbul, and I was amazed by the city's rich culture. I definitely think that the Hotel Antusa played a part in making my stay exceptional. The location was perfect, 2 minutes from Sultanahmet Square and the tramway, making it ideal for visiting the various cultural sites. At the same time, it was on a fairly quiet street, so it was ideal not to be disturbed by the comings and goings of tourists, and to spend some quiet time in the hotel. Breakfast was really excellent, I was able to discover the Turkish breakfast 'yaprak sarmasi' (vine leaves), eggplant caviar, hummus, cheese and other excellent Turkish dishes... another great way to immerse yourself in the Turkish universe. Another important point, and not the least, was that the staff were really top-notch, taking great care of us and always ready to give us all the information we needed. Special thanks go to Aykut and Emin🙏🙌 , who were very helpful and always very friendly and available... I was also able to take advantage of the spa services and in particular I had 2 massages. Really excellent massage given (thanks to Julie and Abla 🙏 Great value for money Room was nice, maybe the only downside was that it was a bit small, but it was totally adequate for 5 days. Otherwise very clean and everything available in the room.

The location of the hotel is great - it's a short-walk away from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The street itself is not very crowdy, but there is plenty of cafes around as well as tram stop and some small shops. We got complimentary water and there is also mini-bar available in the room (keep in mind to avoid drinking tap water). Room was located on the 3rd floor, we had a small balcony with a good view. On the room there is one big comfortable bed, desk with 2 chairs, small coffee table, bench, etc. You can find cups, tea. coffee and teapot on the desk. Bed linen and towels were replaces every day, cleaning was good. On out check-in we were offered some tours and entertainments (like Turkish spa). We were able to order transfer from the hotel to the airport on the check-out date and it was great. There is a restaurant & bar downstairs, so you can have a dinner or just buy a bottle of wine in the same building.

Breakfast was ok, but we went to some other places to have different experience. Room was a bit smaller than expected but it doesn't bring much problems.

Best location by far! Having its own restaurant is also very convenient. Quality of breakfast was a very positive surprise, I was expecting something much more basic... The room is a bit small, but it is ok for a solo traveler. Best of the best is the staff; they are 100% focused on the client, which in Istanbul is always a challenge… Eren, Sevim, Emin, Aykut, Yilmaz, and the rest of the team… all of you were wonderful hosts! Thank you guys, I had the best time in Istanbul…

The only down is the rooms not being soundproof… but not a big deal if your neighbors behave!!! Also, I think the A/C might be centrally blocked because sometimes the room was getting a bit hot due to the heater, and I could not changed it… Again, it was not very bad, just a suggestion…

Antusa Place is located in a very convenient location, especially very close to Blue Mosque Square. It will take 3-4 minutes walk to reach Blue Mosque. Just walk 20 meters straight from hotel, take a right and then walk around another 60 meters and you reach Blue Mosque Square! On your way to blue mosque through this route from the hotel, you will also find a good number of retaurants (with fine dining) and other shops. The Sultanehmet Tram station is 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel, Grand Bazar around 10 minutes walking distance. There are also restaurants right beside the hotel. Antusa Palace also has their own restaurants with both inside and outside sitting arrangement. We had our last night dinner at the Hotel's restaurant and the food was really good! Few specific comments on some criteria that any guest would like to know: Location: excellent (if you want to stay close to Blue Mosque Square) Breakfast: items had a good collection of starter, traditional Turkish items, breads and cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and we are already missing it after coming back home. Room Size: not very spacious though, especially for a family of 4 (like we had) with 3-4 suitcases, you may find the space a bit small. We took two connecting rooms for my family and somehow managed to place the suitcases here and there. The best part of Antusa Palace is the Staffs! I would especially like to mention about Abdullah! He is so so so friendly and cooperative and helpful with always a smiling face! I have travelled in many countries, staying over 50+ hotels in Asia and part of Europe, but I have never come across anyone even close to Abdullah! He was always proactive and very keen to help the guests in any matter starting from guiding where to go, how to go, when to go, what to do, what not to do and so on!! He was the Key benefit of staying in Antusa Palace. I would highly recommend staying in Antusa Palace if you'd like to stay close to Blue Mosque are.

Nothing much. Just one thing may be! As we come from a country with very hot and humid weather, we are used to a cool temparature (22-23 deg cel) for our rooms. The AC of the hotel is controlled centrally and due to cold weather outside, the room temparature was set at a warm status (may be around 26-27 deg cel) which was a bit not comfortable for us. SO we had to kee p the windows open for a more comfortable temparature inside the room. This may not affect others as this is solely a personal comfort choice.

The hotel is fantastic for its location. Literally a 4 minute walk to the Blue mosque, 6 minute walk to Aya Sophia and a 10 minute walk to Topkapi Palace. It also has a sauna, steam room, and small pool around 6 metres long although the water temperature was freezing so we did not go into it. They also have massage facilities (which you have to pay additionally for). You can't go wrong with this hotel and the staff are so accommodating and lovely. Mr. Amine in particular was very helpful and so calm, pleasant to talk to and always wanted to help ensure you were comfortable and happy. My only advice would be to pay a little extra and get yourself one of their bigger rooms as their rooms are pretty small but even if you paid extra for their rooms, you're still getting excellent value for your money as the location is just so fantastic!!!!

There wasn't much to not like other than the room we were in '303' was quite cramped and the bathroom was also very small. Although it was all kept very clean my only advice is to definitely stay here due to the excellent location, but pay that little bit extra for a larger room and you're basically receiving the best of all worlds by doing that. I would stay here if I returned to Istanbul but would just stay in a bigger room :)
