The staff made it a priority to please their guests and worked hard to provide a great stay. The bathroom was recently remodeled and beautiful. The view from their dining room was of an ancient bath house and enchanting.The Villa is very close to the waterfront, which is also a lovely walk. Would recommend the Whirling Dervish restaurant, close to the hippodrome, for an affordable meal and a complimentary show, which was a treat. Also, en route to the waterfront, we passed an Asian restaurant packed with Asians, so we really wished for another evening so that we could try out this obviously great restaurant.

The hotel is located in an area with lots of quaint restaurants. Unfortunately,they are quite pricey, which is not our vibe, so we had to walk around a while to find one in our price range. Fortunately, the walk is beautiful.

I arrived very early at that time, around 8 am, tired and cold and not yet fully recovered from the illness. This friendly reception staff (Mr. Javazi) helped me to carry my suitcase in and even knew my name. More surprising he offered early check in. It may be a trivial thing but for me it is an extraordinary thing. I can't thank him enough for this kindness. (Thank you for offered me extra breakfast, Mr. Javazi). I was able to rest for a few hours before picking up my husband at the airport. The late check out also very helpful as our flight was in the middle of the night. That was my second time staying at Villa Sofia with my husband. I got a bigger room than the last time I stayed. Breakfast is always good as usual. My husband really likes it. This place made him fall in love with Turkish tea. He even promised to come again and stay here this summer.

Daily room cleaning is not automatic. You have to inform reception.

This review is on behalf of my parents who joined us here. Clean hotel, rooms & breakfast. They asked me also to make sure Nuri and the team including the restaurant staff get an exceptional review. The efforts they make exceeds all expectations. Example: my parents forgot their passport wallet just before leaving to airport for their return flight. How Nuri took responsibility and personaly ran to rescue during rushhour to make sure the parents can make the flight was amazing and not something you come accross often in hotels anywhere now a days. Thank you!

The location was amazing with only a few minutes to reach the monuments. The restaurant had a spectacular view over the sea, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. There were a few delicious options for breakfast, although you can end up getting bored of them as they were always the same. The receptionists were super helpful and eager to make us comfortable and to have the best time in the city.

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner.

The room was clean and spacious with good radiator heaters and the A/C. We also had a kettle, a fridge, and an iron as advertised. The staff spoke good English and were friendly and hospitable. The location is amazing - 5 minute walk to Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. We really enjoyed the Marmara Sea view from our room, and the breakfast area was great. The breakfast itself was excellent, too. Room rate was very reasonable.

Everything was great. Perhaps just electrical outlets could be more conveniently located - some were behind the beds or night stands, some were already in use.

The location is great, next to Hagia Sophia. The staff is very kind and always ready to help you with a transfer or a tour in Istanbul. From the terrace restaurant there is an amazing view of Hagia Sophia and the sea. With a little change of furniture, it will be a great accommodation. Thank you to the guy who worked at the reception, he is very kind. The most beautiful Turkish coffee with a view of Hagia Sophia.

The doors and furniture need to be changed :)

last day we ordered a taxi from the hotel but it was late for 45 minutes we barely caught our flight on the last minute!

The position was fantastic . A block away from the beach front and a few steps away from a long covered shopping street . The manager Nuri and staff super helpful attending to all our requests, including airport transfers and we were spoiled with a free upgrade to the suite which has a great balcony with awesome view .

It’s not 5 star but the daily hotel rate here at Villa Sofia is so reasonable that I think we really got good value for what we paid . The rooms were clean and breakfast varied and good .

It’s situated a short walking distance to the historical sites . Plenty of great restaurants and street food stalls around . They have a great roof deck with views onto Haga Sofia and Blue Mosque . Nuri and his staff super helpful with accommodating our requests which included airport transfers .

We had nothing to complain about and thought it was value for the money paid

the owner and the manager both named Nouri were amazing they were very helpful made me feel safe and home. they would make sure no one will fool me, gave me all the best advices and tricks for transportations even gave me the turkey card for public transportation. the room was spacious and they got the best view in the hotel moreover spotless clean! the whole staff in the hotel were extremely nice. the location was perfect for me, the area was safe filled with restaurants and supermarket, it is a bit crowded but i loved that. will return for sure!
