I picked the hotel because of its location and very reasonable price, I had a train early in the morning and wanted to stay somewhere I could walk to the train station from. The hotel was perfect for the purpose, just a few minutes walk to Basmane gar. The room was basic, but had everything I needed for my short stay, and it was very clean. And I can't thank the hotel staff enough for their help and generosity - in the evening I got helpful advice about the neighbourhood I was in for the first time, and in the morning, because I was leaving, before the breakfast time, I asked to fill my travel mug with hot coffee so I could enjoy my breakfast with a view later on the train. Thanks for making me feel welcome!

The staff was very kind and helping. We arrived at 7 in the morning, and they did for us the free of charge check-in despite the fact that check-in from 12 pm. During the checkout, we got a small present. There is no elevator, but staff is helping.

A hotel needs some renovation. The room wasn't clean and the bathroom as well. The hotel is in the city center so don't expect the room to be quiet and you have to pay attention when you come back at night.

The location is pretty good and well-connected. The room was clean, and the air-conditioning worked well. The room was located on the 4th floor and had a nice view of the castle from the window. Overall, it's recommended if you are in Izmir for 2-3 days.

The bathroom didn't seem to have an exhaust, so it gets a bit uncomfortable after a shower. The stairs are a bit steep, and with luggage, it could be a bit of a problem.

I stayed here in early 2018 and liked in that time. I booked again after many years and still same quality continues. It is a nice hotel in the center of İzmir and the owner and the staff is very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is open buffet and it is a plus. The hotel is nice decorated and will make you feel like homie place.

The only minus thing is there is no elevator. Also this time i found the room a little bit small but it has a private bathroom and shower.

Breakfast is very basic, nothing special. But quite good for this value of money. The staff are very nice, even though they speak limited English. The location is not in the best neighborhood, but it's quite nice area with historical sites and also very authentic. The only problems are two things: there is no elevator in the hotel and you have to use the stairs! and a part from the lobby, you rarely find internet in the hotel.

the place is indeed old so might not be everyones cup of tea. the shower head for example fell during our stay. a mop in the bathroom to wipe the water would be nice to have

Many thanks to Olimpiyat hotel!! Situated very close to Basmane - train and bus station, and Fevzi Pasa boulevard, where you can find many shops, cafes, change offices. Rooms are small, but offers everything I need - bed, air conditioner, mirror, private bathroom! Hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and for sure I'll be back to Olimpiyat every time I visit Izmir again)

Location is very close to Izmir central station. Room was clean and bed was comfortable though the room size is quiet small. Staffs were also friendly and helpful. We got small gifts from them.

They did not provide bathroom rug

The AC is a lifesaver - the room was warm in minutes. The staff were really kind and spoke English quite well. The breakfast was enjoyable and unlimited coffee was included. The room was very comfortable and the location is quite close to bigger sightseeing points. Also, the view from ny room was really nice.

The room could be better if there was a bigger trash can and it would be warmer in the bathroom if the window could close.

The staff is very polite and helpful.The breakfast was very good, only there was no coffey mashine.

I would prefer to have an assancior. The whole area is a bit dirty but it does not depend on the hotel. Location is super.
