Upon arrival, there was a significant rush, and the reception desk was noticeably slow to respond. Guests were compelled to wait for nearly 1.5 hours before completing the check-in process.

Breakfast. Though lots of Bangladeshi visited there but Indians are given priority. Don't understand why? Seen people are wasting foods at breakfast. Hotel should have its own policy on wasting food. Concierge service is so poor that almost made to miss our flight.

Good hotel - very professional, but perhaps too impersonal, yet such a great location. We had a large suite and this was well worth it. The cleaning was perfect and the staff were excellent.

The front desk staff were efficient but if there is one area where there needs to be improvement for increased customer satisfaction, it would be in the interaction between reception and the public. The staff were good and efficient, yes, but the weary travelling public need friendliness and to feel they are in a home from home. I can understand why the front desk staff were that way because after all this is a large hotel with a HIGH throughput of guests, but ... still ... a smile would be welcome.

The Ambassador Hotel has an excellent location and is a very large property. I particularly liked the size of the lobby and courtyards. However, the swimming pool water was dirty and very cold (in January) and the men’s steam room had a stale smell, which might explain why it wasn’t frequently used. The connecting rooms were not soundproof, so could hear everything. Despite these issues, it’s still a nice hotel overall.

The new Sky Wing is exceptionally perfect. The rooms are the best I have seen in this price range. And no night life noise disturbed us.

As a returning customer, the Checkin has slightly improved. But the Checkout at 12:00pm is really bad. A long queue and only 3 out of 5 desk stations are open. And the receptionists are overwhelmed, giving wrong checkout instructions.In my case she has send me 3 times back to the room, such concierge were able to collect our 4 heavy suitcases. By that time the swipe card has expired, omg. how bad a simple Checkout can be.

Stayed here many times. I like the location in Sukhumvit area and ease of getting around by sky train and bus. Price is ok for the area.

The rooms are getting a bit tired, its an old hotel. Breakfast room a very busy place with lingering odours of multi national food and screaming children. I prefer to eat outside in the cafes along the road. They have taken away the lounge bar near the front desk. A shame, it was a great place to meet up with people and have a drink. Losing some of it's class.

Everything went well while me and my family stayed at the Ambassador Hotel. Our room always clean by the maid, also our room was enough space for me and the family. Breakfast was delicious, it changes most of the days, which is good for a change! Easy access around the shops, restaurants and easy way to Nana station, Asok station and Terminal 21. Overall we enjoining our stay and satisfied with everything.

I liked the convenience of having breakfast in my hotel. ALL of the hotel staff were top tier including housekeeping, concierge, and restaurant. Beds were comfy and room clean. The location was good for travelling around the city.

I was looking forward to a robe and slippers not realizing my room didn't include them. The location of the main floor lobby is oddly placed and the fitness center placement is not convenient if you're on the square wing

The room sizes of the Sky Wing were great, really enjoyed the space and thought the hotel was a good size (bathrooms could do with some refurbishment however). The hotel had shops, a cafe and restaurant with many other amenities. The hotel is in a great location on Sukhumvit Soi 11. It's perfect for groups who want a choice of restaurants, bars and clubs. There are many other places you can go to via a shirt taxi or tuk tuk ride. They also have a massage parlour next door which is great if you want to unwind at great prices. Overall this place is somewhere I would visit again as it had everything our group needed and the hotel staff really did try and do everything they could do to help.

Firstly, there were a few cockroaches that were seen in multiple locations. Once at the lobby checkin area, and a friend of mine saw one in his bathroom, this is an obvious problem if youre afraid of insects. Although the hotel is clean, perhaps more can be done to remove them. Secondly, they need more staff at the checkin / checkout desk as at time it can get busy and you can be queueing for quite awhile depending on the time of day. Lastly, they need a room for luggage when checking out - if you want to go and wander for the last few hours before you depart, they only have a tied piece of rope near the entrance to keep your bags secure - this could be improved.

As usual a great stay. This time my girlfriend lost a crown from one of her teeth and flushed it down. At 2:00 am the receptionist sent a plumber to get it out of the syphon. Happy end! ;-) They were also so kind to let us change the room once. Water pressure is probably one of the best in BKK. ;-) Price was great - 148€/4 nights. WiFi worked fantastic. Location is close to shops, restaurants, bars, street kitchen, BTS. Pool is nice if you want to escape the heat. I think the Ambassador opened in the 70ies and was one of the first big hotels in Bangkok. I like the slightly vintage flair as it makes it unique. Happy to return soon.

The smoking area in front can be a bit challenging for single ladies as you constantly get approached by Indians or wanna-be-gansters who “want to do business” with you.
