How quiet the hotel was, I was able to get a good night's sleep. Very friendly and helpful staff on main reception and bar. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was excellent to get, to and from the train station. We caught the bus from Manchester Piccadilly Station, direct to the hotel I think we used Bus 203, two minute walk away. Uber was £15.00 to get the 4 of us to the Trafford Centre on Saturday for a full day of shopping.

Ran out of plates at breakfast and bacon on Saturday morning at 9am. Ran out of sausage at breakfast Sunday morning at 8am. Resolved within a reasonable time frame. Suggestion Holiday Inn need to buy more plates and cook more bacon and sausage at peak times.

The staff was amazing. Always friendly. Always helpful. The lady that helped at Beakfast (wish I remembered her name) was such a sweetheart. Made us feel like we were in her home. Room cleaner cleaned our room first when we asked when she'd be doing it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider going back there if back in Manchester. Special mention to the front desk staff who spent an entire day and maybe more helping a homeless family with an alternatively abled brother. They went far above and beyond. It was special to witness. Bottomless hot chocolate was also a very special treat for kids and parents alike.

Affordable hotel with breakfast just like the other Holiday Inns all over the main cities in the UK. It's a bit far from downtown Manchester, but there is a bus station nearby. McDonald's and a park nearby too.

My wife's earbuds were left on the bed, and the cleaners accidentally put them in the laundry room with the sheets. Fortunately, the manager took it seriously and retrieved the earphones for us very quickly when receiving our report. It is recommended not to forget small or valuebales by the bed.

Everything was ok. The staffs were superb. Very friendly.

The room was clean and had everything we needed in it. The breakfast was as expected. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We arrived after dark and are unfamiliar with the area. The signpost indicating the entrance to Debdale Park wasn't visible in the direction we were travelling from. The parking charges were only noted after we made the booking. We had to ask for a second key card for the room - we are 2 adults sharing the room, the card is needed to keep the lights on in the room and so when my husband went outside the hotel to smoke i was left in the room in the dark! Perhaps the second card could be offered at check in rather than having to be requested.

Friendliness of staff one or two in particular a young blonde girl and young male.Good check in andout. Great value for money for price paid over Christmas period considering Breakfast was included too..Mince pies offered on arrival! Great gesture. Cleanliness of the room. Nothing to much bother as I asked for clean mugs due to no domestic housekeeping service carried out.and also an extra chair so that both my husband and myself could sit down and relax together when watching some TV,no problem! Towels given at door when noticed domestic housekeeping staff. Could just help yourself to teabags,coffees etc kept in the reception area. Good location for accessing so many other areas like Manchester or Stockport even if using public transport. Uber taxis inexpensive perhaps also due to location. Looking forward to our.return for a family christening in February with a ground floor room again given due to my mobility issues .

Price of food if sitting in plus there wasn't much availability during our stay,ie limited menu, however there was a Macdonald's a few feet away. Breakfast food not hot and same cooked food items every morning. A slight variation wouldn't have gone wrong.Did ask for cooked breakfast items to be heated up, no problem was done right away Room not cleaned at all during 3 night stay however domestic housekeeper outside door one morning so got clean towels,also asked for clean drinking mugs brought too by staff. Bed not the most comfortable but.not the worst I've slept on either.

Warm welcome by friendly reception staff, location was central to the places we were visiting, room was clean and well presented, bed was super comfy (almost too comfy) breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. Ample car parking on site at a reasonable price too.

This is the smallest family room we have stayed in. We found the room was a bit tight for space (with 2 adults and a teenager) when the sofa bed was down. As we were only staying 1 night it wasn’t too bad but had it been for longer it may have been a bigger issue.

When I booked this hotel, the parking was still free. The week I arrive, they had started charging for parking. I spoke to someone in reception about this and (I believe!) ,there was a waiver for me. I appreciate that they understood this. The hotel was very clean. The housekeeper always did a great job. My room was spacious and had everything I needed. I've stayed as a solo traveller I other places, where the room was considerably smaller. The bed was also very comfortable. The free breakfast was very good and there was plenty available. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Loved the free parking - one of the main reason's I originally chose the place. It's a shame they are now charging. I chose free parking as I was not planning to be at the hotel for much of the day (I was usually out for about 10 hours!). There is a fast food chain nearby and a gym too. The hotel is not far from one of the motorways and other amenities.

The room was clean, reasonably well equipped and we liked having a window to open. We also liked having just a shower, as one of us struggles with mobility. The breakfast was good, offering a great selection of food.

We found the double bed rather small for two, even though we are not overweight and not particularly tall. The machine coffee at breakfast was disappointingly bland. Boiled eggs would have been a good addition, as would some bananas.

Great hotel was comfortable and had a great range of amenities in the room. Staff were super friendly checking in and throughout the stay. The hotel may be slightly out of the city but the 201 & 203 run frequently and is £2. Also night buses and a maccies right next door for when you stumble back drunk.

Breakfast was a tad slow. I would put this down to being fully booked for pride and Man Utd playing at home.
