Large room Fantastic shower Great staff Great location

Breakfast and tea was cold. Plates were discoloured and some were dirty. Food wasn't available fast enough so, kept guess waiting. HORRIBLE HEAD CHEF, shouting and being rude to staff. Toaster machine broken.

Really nice hotel in a great location - short walk away from shops/restaurants, Piccadilly train station and the O2 Apollo.

Unfortunately the air con didn’t appear to work in any of the rooms, and ours didn’t have any windows to open, which made it really hot and stuffy through the night.

A big city centre hotel, very close to Piccadilly station and an easy walk up into the main shops and nightlife. Also easy to get across to the University quarter on foot. We were impressed with the very large twin room - two double beds, big bathroom and a great view. This was a comfortable base for a few nights and the room itself was a nice place to retreat to with plenty of space and seating. Downstairs bar has a good selection and was well run on a busy night.

There was some wear and tear in the room but the benefits (see what did you like) meant you could overlook this. The gym facility was a bit disappointing and some of what's available needs updating eg headrest missing from ab cruncher, loose saddle on static bike, main dumbbell weights that most people would use seemed to have 'gone for a walk'. Only other quibble is parking - to do so at the hotel would have cost us £50 over the two nights. There are other options nearby though and two nights within 5 minutes cost us under £8.

Great location and easy to reach. I was pleasantly surprised, considering it's being renovated, as it did not affect our stay. Check-in was quick and easy, with a lovely, friendly, warm, and welcoming team. The room was large, very spacious, great storage and clean, with good facilities. It was lovely having a bath and shower. All the staff in the hotel were lovely, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, and I have to say that all the staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely. A special mention, though, to the gentleman who was front of house, at breakfast, seating, escorting, and organising guests and staff (I believe he was called Jordan) He was extremely welcoming, very efficient and was a really pleasant person with a lovely attitude towards guests and staff a like. Also, Matthew, the head chef at breakfast, was lovely, friendly, and chatty, and he couldn't do enough for you. He was very efficient and made the best placed eggs. We had a lovely stay and will definitely look forward to another stay here in the near future.

Maybe a fridge in the room would have been handy. I like a cold drink through the night and found the water very warm.

Good location! Easily accessible to all transport from the picadily train station. Alot to see in MCR. We were at the Manchester United stadium, media city, war memorial, aquatic centre for swimming (12mins walk from the hotel), Trafford Centre & Arndale shopping malls, canal cruise from The Quays at Salford. The chef in the hotel, such a lovely man, also gave tips of where to go for sightseeing whenever we are in Liverpool. Attention to detail in getting the right egg you want Susan the staff from the restaurant she was very friendly. And some of the staff at the lounge bar. The gym room was perfect

The household staff on duty on our 3 day. Did not clean or change things at all. On returned at 19.30hrs Despite the fact that I stripped the beds indicating for change of bed sheets. It was not done at all. Complained about it to the reception and another household staff (Leylah) came through. Clean the whole place new bed sheets, toiletries, clean towels etc. Thanks to Leylah. We did not get to sleep until 10.30hrs

Room was very spacious, staff very friendly and as it was a warm day provided an additional key so the air conditioning could be kept on. Plenty of room in car park, hotel very clean. Having a bath and a shower in the room was great. Room was missing one armchair but this was rectified immediately. Good breakfast choice. Great location just a small walk to Piccadilly and trams etc

Pillows a bit too soft, coffee only available from machines so was either luke warm or stewed - this definitely needs to be improved. Few marks on shower floor but as hotel is undergoing refurbishment then expect this to be fixed

Very close to rail facilities but very quiet inside the hotel. All staff were very polite and extremely helpful. The bed was very comfortable, room facilities good, nice sized room, and the bonus of having a proper bath as well as a good shower. Dining facilities were good, and there was a good selection of meals available in the bar area. Very good stay.

My only issue was that there wasn't a lot of room in the area where you waited for a lift. More than 6 people waiting made it seem quite crowded.

Clean place, nice staff. We found everything we needed (food, stores, transit stations) within a 10-15 min walk from the hotel.

The socket situation is kind of funny if you're from Europe. Most sockets are type G (the one with 3 square pins, common in UK), but the ones next to the bed are type D I think (with 3 round pins), and the bathroom has a A/C socket (US/EU plug compatible) for shavers. I could use the one in the bathroom or next to the bed for charging my phone, although type D sockets aren't well compatible with EU plugs, so not all EU chargers will fit the socket next to the bed. You can rent an EU adapter for the type G sockets from the reception and they will give you the money back when you check out. I don't know if they have adapters for the type D sockets next to the beds.

peaceful, safe location, checking in was quick and efficient, rooms were very spacious, the showers had plenty of hot water, the bed!! oh the bed!! was super comfy, big thumbs up, breakfast was great, there was a nice selection.

Housekeeping was a bit slow to clean our room, and there was some confusion, with them thinking, our room was vacant, and entered the room, while we were in there, without knocking or alerting us. AND ALSO The location of the hotel, was hard to find on the goggle maps, maybe because of a name change.
