In general the property, Staff and Food were Good but it was too Crowded and Conjusted …

I got very bad Experience with a Staff at Reception his name is Ahmed, I had approached him to ask him if I am at weight Place BUT DIDIN’T give me chance to do so as whenever I tried to say something he replied I count money …. While he is doing so was approached with a Lady and he served immediately without any hesitation while I am standing there … I do count this as a Type of Racism … My Enquiry was just to Know if I am at Novotel as it was Reception for Three Hotels .. Was Very Bad Experience …

The room is spacious. Cleanliness is very excellent. The view was fantastic from the top, with a large balcony. Plenty of safe and shaded parking spaces.

In the attached pictures, the bathroom contained a bathtub, but when I arrived I was surprised by a bathroom without a bathtub and completely different from the pictures. I inquired with the employee and he told me that some rooms had it and some did not!! He gave me a choice if I insisted, so there was a room available with a bathtub, but with a normal view, and it was located on a lower floor, and there was no balcony. Of course, I declined the offer and stayed in my room. The children’s pool area was the opposite of what we were excited about. The water was very cold, close to ice, and it was impossible for the children to enjoy and use it at this time of the year. I don’t know why there is no heater.

Alaa from reception needs to work on her interpersonal skills and dealing with guests( to put it mildly) Please train the staff on how to behave with and around guests The housekeeping desk attendant needs to have more coordination with the rest of the staff I called different departments once more than 7 times to get the room cleaned which is a basic thing The operator needs training on how to get guests connected to other departments I also waited from 11 am to 5 am to get a room change

Location is great, 20-30 minutes by car for most of the top attractions and the airport, and i have liked the car parking the most, it is safe and inside the tower and it is free and you have direct access to the room, the hotel is more like apartments and not hotel, but that is ok, and it has like a joint lobby with other hotels, Movenpick and Adagio.

Room isn't very quiet specially in the morning, you'll hear a lot of noise as the hotel is on the main highway. Room smelled bad from the bathroom sometimes. False alarms went on multiple times at night.

The staff were amazing. Tahil (?) who drove the courtesy bus was exceptional, interesting, polite, courteous and a very safe driver. The gentleman at Reception who first greeted us (and remembered that we were going to my daughter's for New Year) was very very helpful and caring. The gentleman at Reception who wears the blue suit was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with some useful tips and hints. The staff all greeted us with a smile and were always willing to help. The cleanliness of the communal areas was exceptional. Lovely pool. Breakfast was phenomenal as to the buffet evening meal. Although the hotel is a little way from Downtown Dubai, we liked that as it was quiet. We were able to reach places easily, either by catching the courtesy bus or taxis.

The shower was a little tired, no usb plug facility and limited 3-pin sockets. Housekeeping forgot our towels one day and left us with no toilet paper on another occasion.

It is quite and clean hotel with family orientation. So no bars and night life. The only issue is nothing around the place for walk or shopping or dining. Overall it is good as a value of money.

The Kids Pool was great, the breakfast area was large no que or over crowding, breakfast was good, parking was convenient. Extremely spacious room with good view- stayed in a Superior King bed. Room service menu was good and the portion sizes were great- bit pricey but to be expected.

The Room and washroom was basic and dated, felt like an old apartment not necessarily a hotel. When i made my booking - i sent a message via the booking.com app and also emailed the property stating that i will checkin late (midnight) and i asked if the reception will be available at that time - i had no response even though i sent multiple reminders- they responded around 30 hours later after i have checked in. Pool timing was ridiculous compared to other hotels- closed by sunset!

It was a three nights stay (2 rooms - both family). The rooms were clean, parking was available in the basement - although Novotel parking started from level 3. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Swimming pool had activity for kids. The breakfast was good as well, considering a 4-star. They couldn't provide iron upon request, but did offer complimentary iron services from their laundry (for a specific number of pieces). ACs of one of the room was turned off during night, which apparently was due to the fact the balcony door was very slightly open - a strange reason, but it was resolved upon request (although we had to call a few times). Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

There are no convenience stores near-by, so you have to drive for anything needed.

The Room size for Jnr Suite was excellent. I was there for work, therefore I spent a lot of time on my computer in the room. The Jnr Suite has a small lounge room off the bedroom. The gym was also excellent. Access to Dubai Marina is only 12mins in an Uber - whilst access is easy from JVT, the difference in the hotel tariff compared to the Marina precinct was huge, in my favour. I was also close to Jumeriah Golf Club which was convenient and it was 25mins to downtown Dubai Mall. Again, Uber is your friend in Dubai, a great service - nothing wrong with taxis also. The Breakfast in the hotel was exceptional, a brilliant range of food was on offer. A shout out to Godwin on the front desk - thanks for your help.

One thing I didn't realise is that the Novotel JVT is a dry hotel. Once you realise it, I had my 2 glasses in restaurants each night with dinner outside the hotel. If you are Aussie, a Kiwi or a Brit and used to great coffee, you are not going to find it in hotels. Hotels in the UK, US and also the UAE rarely get the coffee right, because any one works the machines, that is the most disappointing aspect of staying hotels - everyones different, but coffee is such a big thing for many people. It would be great to have barristers making the coffee.

The aqua park for kids is really something that our family looks forward to! Breakfast buffet now have more options compared to first time we booked here few months ago. All staff were friendly and accomodating specially Mr. khrisna who assisted us well during check out.
