Every member of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The morning breakfast was excellent and same as the evening meals .A great choice on the menu. Rooms were clean and warm. Decor was nothing fancy but very well maintained..We had 3 rooms and all beds were comfortable .Beautiful traditional rooms and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay again

Difficult to dislike anything. But only due to my elderly parents there was alot of steps leading from the carpark up to the front entrance. But noticed there was slightly easier access from carpark..Apart from that nothing else we didn't like

Everything about our stay was excellent especially the wonderful staff.....

The only thing I didn't like was sharing with the loudest snorer in the UK so it's single rooms next year 😂. Also the shower room/toilet. Was far too tight for grown men.... The shower was great but you could hardly sit on the pan in room 19 but that was the only negative overall.....

My friend and I were visiting a relative who is in a nursing home and were looking for somewhere close to Banchory and Aboyne. We booked the Ravenswood social club and enjoyed two nights staying there. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. We will be back!

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming, rooms are great plenty of room and storage, safe to store valuables which is free, all round great place to stay, food was also exceptional, could do with some upgrade to the ensuite facilities as the shower lacks pressure if there are more than a few using theirs at same time.

They only down fall is the hotel location is further up the hill from the main street which is quite steep, there are short cuts but not the best, nit a downside on the hotel just its location.

Great breakfast even with veggie sausages, poached eggs and beans. Clean rooms. There was a party in the house next door but we couldn't hear any noise in our room. However the walls to the other rooms were quite thin.

Waiters could be a bit friendlier at breakfast. There were no hangers in the bathroom for the towels. Floor in bathroom was a bit creaky. TV was a joke, super small and didn't work.

Comfortable rooms and good value.Friendly staff.

Arrived after a long journey to find no food after 18:30 on a Sunday and no food available on a Tuesday. It would have been nice to know in advance - though in fairness they are struggling for kitchen staff.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Bedroom was basic but was very comfortable and had en-suite shower room and plenty of tea/coffee available. The Scottish full breakfast was one of the best we've had and the toast and coffee were plentiful.

Nothing, it was perfect for a one night stay in Banchory.

good breakfast and despite a warning that it could be noisy until 1am( perhaps because it was a Saturday night) we slept well. The only noise was from the room next door and the hotel can't be held responible for other guests slamming doors. Great views over the mountains and all the coffee and tea making facilities

Great value for money. Location is good,, above the town with plenty of parking.. Room was smaller than the last time I'd been with just a little shower room. Very clean and a comfy bed. Cooked breakfast is quick and tasty. Staff are friendly. Very reasonable cost especially for the area. It's perfect for my needs and will come back

Soundproofing in the room wasn't great
