I liked the facilities, breakfast and dinner was good and our room was excellent,
Prices - the cheapest price for wine was £34 which is too expensive as was £35 for a steak. I also noted a slight lack of attention to detail, for example the front glass door was not working, it appeared to be slightly ajar, thereby allowing leaves into the entrance area.

The Hall is steeped in history the main staircase and old library are just beautiful. The rooms are large and roomy and warm.. The towels are changed everyday, big fluffy towels, and the cleanliness is exceptional. The breakfast is amazing different cereals, fruits, yoghurt and a hot menu to die for.. The staff are just lovely and take time to talk to you. They are informative and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I especially loved the veggie Haggis, absolutely lovely. We had snow during our stay and the grounds looked magical.
Leaving after 4 Nights bed breakfast and evening dinner - a second veggie option at dinner would be good.

We love Norwood Hall and have been many times. Staff are lovely and accommodating. Food is very good. Breakfasts are exceptional with so much choice. The hotel sits in amazing grounds and it feels like you are really out in the country but you are only 10 minutes by car from the city centre
There is nothing really to dislike. Little things maybe are starting to look a little tired. Be aware though, the hotel is a very popular Wedding/Function venue, especially at weekends and can be noisy if your room is above the function suite

Great location, with plenty of parking and a beautiful hotel. The room was very spacious and quiet, as well as very clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. We were really grateful that we were reserved rooms away from the wedding and wedding guests on the second night. We did not hear a peep! Thank you, this was very thoughtful. We had a lovely sleep as a result. We will be back.
There was a smell of damp in the room that lingered throughout our 2-night stay, maybe the room had not been occupied for a while and would have benefitted from some fresh air. The TV did not work properly and I informed the staff on departure. The key disappointment was with breakfast quality. Coffee was like dirty water on day one, very weak and tasteless, and the bread tasted quite industrial and was not toasted enough. The second morning was a buffet breakfast because of numerous wedding , which made sense, but the scrambled eggs were made out of powder. I would have expected better food quality for that level of hotel, and it would not take much to improve. WIFI did not work in the communal areas but was good in the rooms.

I loved everything about this place. As soon as you drive towards it the property screams amazing. We were greeted at reception and it went from strength to strength from there. The staff here cannot do enough for you, the room I stayed in was spacious and clean, the food here is delicious and the ambience of the place is fantastic. I would highly recommend this place and would return in a heartbeat. If you are here on the weekend make sure you book in for the roast dinner it is divine. Thanks you to everyone who looked after us,
I'm really struggling to think of something that could be improved upon.

The hotel is a wonderful old building with wood panelling and antique furniture. It is very atmospheric. In the restaurant are old paintings of the former owners and the hotel has a very interesting history. The room was very large, the bed extremely comfortable and we had a bathroom with both bath and shower. These days you are lucky to get a bath anywhere so I really enjoyed relaxing in it. The food was very good and quite reasonably priced considering the lovely setting. Breakfast was included too and that was also very nice indeed. The hotel was not too far from Aberdeen by car and the Old Town and Footdee areas were lovely and well worth exploring.
A few of the power points in the bedroom are the very old round pin type that are not seen much nowadays so we couldn’t fit our adaptors into them. There were normal plugs by the desk but nothing by the beds to plug iPads etc into.

Generally this is an excellent hotel situated in beautiful grounds and the staff are polite and courteous.
On our first morning we had to wait over 30 minutes for our breakfast. Also there was no loose sugar to put on our cereal (until we asked the staff for some) and both of the fruit juice dispensers were empty. Also there are a few minor items which should be addressed for a hotel of this standard: a) Door lock in inside of room was not properly aligned and so could not be used. b) Although paper was provided for taking notes at phone there was no writing implement. c) No bottled water provided in room. d) No biscuit/shortbread provided to accompany the coffee/tea. e) Used breakfast dishes should be removed much more quickly. f) No mobile phone charging points provided in the room.

Everyone was so welcoming - the hotel itself is gorgeous with wonderful grounds for strolling around. The rooms were all huge, sparkling clean and sooooo comfortable. We had two spaniels with us (their first hotel stay!) and the team at the hotel couldn’t have been lovelier. From the doggie welcome bag in the room to them letting us use the fire escape beside our room for (the dogs!) toilet breaks, they made us feel so welcome. What could have been a very stressful break away was transformed by the hotel’s approach to pets…..thank you Team Norwood - you are all stars!!
Not a thing!

Liked the setting both outside and inside the hotel with one exception. Loved the decor and old world charm of main building.
The room was spacious with double aspect windows spoilt by the view of the garbage area. The staff continually left the doors open allowing a view of the garbage within. Not what you expect from an executive room. There was even boxes strewn outside the area. Also think just shampoo was a bit mean as bathroom amenities. Recommend staff are trained to shut the doors to this area and put in more attractive screening or reposition this area out of sight of guests.

The sylvan setting was gorgeous, yet it was close to the city and its attractions. We loved the opulence of the interior and the nod to its history: the library and the dining room reflected this beautifully. A lovely, large bedroom.
An observation: I cannot understand why, even though we had prepaid for breakfast, there was a £5 charge for eggs Benedict. Not a large sum, but I could have ordered the full Scottish breakfast - as my husband did - and simply requested poached eggs. However, I did not want to waste any food. I will be more aware next time about this unnecessary charge. It is also a long way to the rooms - 2 lifts later, we arrived.
