This was my second stay at the Belvedere and it again did not disappoint. The owners are welcoming, the facility is impeccable and absolutely gorgeous, and the breakfasts are just perfect. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was well kept. The location is quite central, short walk from the train station, and about 45-60 minutes walk to the castle (absolutely stunning walk… took me an hour and half due to enjoying the sights and picture taking, and stopping by the war monument and the cliffs. And my favorite part is that you can see the ocean from the facility when looking down Evans St., and access to it is a short 3 minutes walk, making it very accessible for sunrise and sunset seeing. 2 minutes from grocery store, and several great restaurants.

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, working hard to get our rooms ready in time for our early arrival. Traditional B&B accommodations with multiple bedrooms (our 3 rooms were all ensuite), breakfast area, and small lounge. Small bathrooms, but typical size for UK B&Bs. Comfy rooms, and excellent made-to-order breakfast. Great location, not too far from train station, and close to town shops, beach, and harbor. Easy to access the 2 mile (1-way) shore walk to Dunnottar Castle (highly recommended). Our large group made use of the lounge each night for games, and hanging out. Our hosts encouraged us to "make ourselves at home," even provided utensils for bringing back take-away food to the B&B. Would definitely recommend Belvedere!

It was very clean and centrally located and has free parking. I loved the dining room and the stained glass windows.The staff were friendly and the cooked Breakfast was lovely too. The bed was very comfortable.

I didn’t like the thermostat of the shower as it constantly changed from really cold to really hot. I also wasn’t sure how to get the water running. After I while I realised I had to turn on the shower switch in the hallway outside of the shower room . This took 10 minutes to work out and it would have been better to have had instructions beforehand

We have a very great stay in belvedere Guest House the owners are very kind, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. There are even vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. We had the Scottish breakfast, so delicious. The Belvedere is located in the city center, Dunnotar Castle is accessible on foot from Stonehaven harbour. We travel by train and the hotel is 10 minutes downhill! To leave the owner called us a taxi (2 min by taxi to get to the station) so we avoided the hill with the suitcases :)

The Belvedere Guest House was in a good location in Stonehaven. It was easy to walk downtown and to the beach. The Breakfast room was well set up with friendly and accommodating service. They had a good and varied menu for breakfast, which would be suitable for all. The food was delicious as well. We enjoyed chatting with the owners as they were friendly and helpful. The Guest House was a short drive to the awesome Dunnottar Castle, which should not be missed.

Possibly the best Full Scottish Breakfast I've ever had including haggis and black pudding - for the most discerning Scottish connoisseur! Host was attentive and generous with coffee refills. Nice surroundings and clean accommodation with a small car park out front. Perfectly adequate for the price and got a decent night's sleep. Stonehaven is a beautiful, characterful old fishing village with some really cool old buildings still bearing the signs of a bygone era, a market square, town hall and wonderful harbour with plentiful bird life, seals and so on. I only spent a couple of days here as part of a longer road trip, mostly at the harbour which also had a fantastic display of metal sea-themed sculptures along one side. Nearby attractions include Cowie Beach, Dunottar Castle and RSPB Fowlsheugh where razorbills, puffins, guillemots may be seen in season. A great base to explore the area and will definitely return. Well worth a visit!

Room was a bit cold with no heating on when I arrived (though could be as I was quite late) but, in late September, probably a must especially for visitors who may not be used to our 'fresh' climate.

The owners were incredibly friendly, responsive, and treated us like family. As soon as we arrived, they knew exactly who we were and met us with big smiles and the husband quickly helped us carry our bags up to our room. The house has super thick walls and floors - providing a reasonably quiet environment to relax (and sleep!). We had a late train the day we were leaving, and the owners were super helpful in letting us rest in the lounge area a bit before our final departure from the house.

I honestly cannot think of a single thing we did not like - it was just perfect.

Lovely hosts, fab cooked brekkie , my friend had a fab vegetarian one , there was an option for a light continental… we were in the Ron Suite & this was a twin room & the room was very spacious, plenty room to move about, lovely modern bathroom , cupboard had plenty shelving & more importantly for us ladies was a full length mirror 10/10 ….beautiful location , will def be back. Well done Shiela & Mick… 👌😀

Breakfast options(lots of veggie/vegan options too) were great and very nice. Bathroom was good for what we needed. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Great walking distance into town. We ate evening meal at the famous fish and chips takeaway "the Bay" then walk around the harbour. Lots to see in Stonehaven.

Our room was a twin, as the hotel doesn't have that many doubles, but the twin room was spacious and we both agreed we got a better night sleep on our own (no duvet stealing).

The location was very good, about 5 minutes from seafront also ample car park in front of property. The room was clean and bright with plenty of space. Breakfast was lovely, well cooked with a good choice also a big thank you to them for allowing us to use their facilities whilst awaiting the RAC when we had a puncture as we were about to leave.
