Apart from being extremely good value for money it is a perfect location for my place of work and also in a prime spot for exploring Barrow. My stays are normally at the Furness Railway which is slightly more expensive but, like the Escape Hotel, is also extremely comfortable with all the necessary amenities but does very nice food too. This is the only thing lacking at Escape. However, it is the second time I have stayed here and will certainly not be the last. The added benefit is that is also has free parking to the rear of the hotel which is accommodated at reception. The staff are also extremely helpful and very pleasant. The reception is not manned all day and should you arrive outside of "working" hours (e.g. Sunday evening), as I did, then all necessary information is sent via e-mail before arrival. Key cards are stored in secure boxes outside the main entrance and Pin No's provided. All in all a very nice hotel.

Everything met my expectations.

The room was ideal and the shower was superb. Great communication from the hotel so I could collect my access card when arriving during the Bank Holiday. Really friendly and helpful staff member on reception during my stay.

The only thing I would have liked was my company name and address on the emailed receipt (didn't notice until home). Can't think of anything else.

Staff super friendly. Rooms were equipped nicely with everything you would need.

Would be nice if they provided water, just a large bottle. Room got a little hot at night, windows don’t open too much. Shower gel supplied was not great seemed a bit like hand wash. Next door smell of people smoking illegal substances came through but can’t see how this is the hotels fault just a heads up.

Rooms were very clean, the staff especially the one with the long black hair (sorry didn’t get her name) was brilliant. Attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

The only fault I can say was that the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Other than that we have no complaints

Nothing I didn't like our stay had been perfect

We liked the quick response to our emergency, friendly customer service, cleanliness and facilities provided for in the rooms. Adequate free parking as well. Just lacked a toilet brush.

I licked everything about the property.

The hotel is located close to the town centre and also walking distance to my place of business. Parking directly outside the hotel is a bonus.

Although parking is provided it is very tight to get parked, especially when contractors vans are parked there too.

The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and when I left in the morning I was greeted by a good morning from different lady on reception. The room was great. I liked the colour scheme, the bathroom was a great layout and all round very clean

The only thing was I couldn't open the window and it got very warm and stuffy during the night

The manager, Becca, is helpful, funny and thorough. The position is excellent. We visited the Lakes and Walney Island. Free parking, easy access. The well equipped, stylish room had a comfortable bed, a superb shower and a large TV with Netflix. We hired an electric coolbox. Microwave also available.

We liked everything

The room was really well decorated, very clean and the tv was really big. We really liked the mood lighting and the bathroom was equally as good with a really nice large shower.

Personally, the pillows were a little too soft for me but that’s just a personal preference. My partner thought they were fine and had a great sleep.
