We stayed at the hotel for a suprise party, the location was great,and the lady,sorry I forgot her name,was just lovely, very bubbly and friendly. The room we had was huge,sofa in there too and plenty of storage and one thing have to say is the plug sockets,most hotels you get one plug, we had tons in this room,was perfect we didn't have to fight over sockets. I am awful when go to hotels as struggle being away from my home comforts,but not here,the bed was very comfy and lovely pillows. The function room was set up lovely, and we all had a great evening, we aren't local but when we visit family again we would def stay here. Thank you again.

It’s a great location in regards to the town. The bed was huge and comfortable. Great staff. Overall nice and clean. Lots of space for your things. TV was good and had many channels.

Couple of little things. The shower didn’t drain whilst inside and kept building up like a bath inside. Shower could benefit from a deep clean in the nooks and cracks for grime. There was a large hole in the bathroom wall too. Nothing major though.

Considering the cost, the room was excellent. Plenty of room, comfy bed, en-suite bathroom with everything clean and working. I particularly liked that they provided simple breakfast supplies in the kitchen. I was able to breakfast more or less as at home for no extra cost.

Bread was promised for the kitchen, but obviously got forgotten. No worries - I had cereal. The hotel themselves informed me of the likelihood of noise on Friday and Saturday nights only.

Really friendly staff, comfortable room and bed,, good shower. Location very central. Nice that you can use kitchen and sitting room facilities

They are very clear in the advertising but worth particularly noting that the rooms are above a function room which was in use for loud music til midnight. Might be worth considering if staying at weekends and you want an early night

We absolutely loved the bar in the property the value for money with the drinks is amazing and not to mention it was located across the road to a spoons! Not to mention the short walk into the town center and the comfy beds.

The rooms where quite warm in the heat with no fan or aircon to cool yourself down and the other people staying in the property where yelling very loudly and stomping up hallway so we could hear everything at 3 in the morning witch wasn’t the most fun. Other than that the rooms where extremely comfy and the staff where amazing!

It's at the center of the town and only a five minute walk from the train station, making the location convenient. The staff were friendly. It's a pub downstairs, but the key fob they give you allows you to get into the hotel part without having to go through the pub crowd. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was super comfortable. It's a great value for money!

I've stayed in the Derby before, and it was really good. The room was clean and well presented with towels and all shower gels and soaps etc all provided,a kettle and tea and coffee to suit.

The only problem I had this stay was that the shower was freezing cold. Last time I stayed it was great... Maybe need to turn the hot water on the boiler... Other than that,it was fine..

Very comfortable bed, powerful shower, good location. Helpful staff. Unexpected access to kitchen and lounge area, with complimentary hot drinks and cold food. Cheaper than Wetherspoon hotel opposite.

The radiator was awkward to operate, although staff sorted this after reporting the issue. Very slow drainage in the shower, so I was standing in a pool of water. Some decor is worn, with damage to some wallpaper.

The shower was great, good power, good temperature, plenty of water. The bedroom was quite comfortable. The breakfast facilities were adequate.

The car parking. We were told we could park overnight in a nearby car park, which we did for the weekend. PArking had to ben paid from from 8am. By 8.12 we had a parking ticket.

Everything was great - friendly staff, very easy check-in and check out, and clean room. In addition, despite the warnings on the website about noise from the bar, I really couldn't hear anything from two stories above, so wasn't a problem.

If I *have* to nit-pick here - the lack of glasses in the room was a little annoying - has to rely on refilling my used bottles of water, but other than that, no complaints.
