The staff were amazing! I have been coming to Blackpool for nearly 40 years so know what to expect when booking a cheap last-minute break in the school holidays. The Highbury Hotel exceeded my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town Bethany and Lily went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and tbh I've stayed in 5* hotels and haven't received the hospitality I received here. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect for families. Fantastic staff

Nothing really. Maybe could do with WiFi but we had mobile data so didn't affect us really.

Couldn’t ask for more for only £18 for the night room was a fair size for one person and had my own bathroom The host Sarah was very kind and polite and personally showed me to my room and made sure I was ok with everything. The room included very comfortable bed as I slept very well on it possibly more comfy than my own bed at home, it had kettle and tea making facilities, it’s a cheap and affordable room for a solo traveller and is located just down the promenade and 15 min walk from Blackpool Pleasure Beach would stay again as I enjoyed my stay

Only a couple things I was firstly left outside a locked door pressing the door bell and had answer Was close to calling the property until a gent called James opened the door and thought I was messing about with the door bell when I explained all I wanted was to check in, other than that there is possibly one towel which looked like a bath mat by the shower and the property has no signal or WIFi, Sarah said they are working on this, breakfast wasn't served until 9am so I couldn’t make use of this as I had to dash off earlier but it did smell nice as I left the room

Am not going 2 pull the place down as book and see for yourselves but I can only comment for myself.the place might not be everyone's cup of tea but for the price i paid with free breakfast was far to cheap and a also want to point out the room was well warm.the breakfast was spot on and the host were brilliant

Great location and great staff followed by a good free breakfast

Mattress rock hard with springs sticking in me all night .. place is a little run down could do with updating but it’s normal for Blackpool standards .. had to clean the shower myself before I used it as I found some not great things I would rather not say about

For the price paid it was a bargain. Room was clean and owners where friendly. Got the family room so had 2 single beds and a double bed . Room had it's own toilet and shower. Street noise was minimal we didn't get disturbed by passers by. Nice to wake up to smell of cooking bacon. Breakfast was brought to the table quick and hot just how it should be . Also managed to get a parking space just round the corner from highbury on the next street which was a bonus to not have to pay parking costs.

Although I would stop again . We got room 9 and I think 2 flights of stairs with a 3 and 4 year old is a little much. The tv wasn't working and with my 2 littles one a little noise to occupy them is needed sometimes .

I contacted the property prior to my visit to request a slightly earlier check-in, the manager Ryan went out of his way to make this possible. On arrival I was shown the room before checking in and leaving a security deposit. There was a new TV in the room with a dvd player and a good selection of dvds to borrow. Breakfast was lovely. Ryan was a fab host/manager. The kids loved him. Nothing was too much trouble. I will say if you want 5* then this isn't the place for you. This is cheap & cheerful. A budget B&B I payed £10 pppn I got what I paid for with a bonus of an en-suite & a good breakfast.

The room we stayed in could do with some tlc and new blinds on the windows.

For what we paid we were pleasantly surprised we've paid more elsewhere and been in worse rooms. The room was comfortable and clean which is more important for me than the dated bathroom. The bed although a little low and dated was I thought comfortable. The room itself was basic but the bathroom was larger than most we've been in, as we only stayed overnight we didn't use the shower but the water was hot in the sink. Room was clean and bright. Staff were friendly and our room was quiet. The breakfast was fine not hot but eatable and the sausage was tasty. There is parking outside on the street but it's pot luck if you get a space, we managed to get a spot a couple of streets over so that was a bonus no car park fees. We would stay again. Some of the reviews we read made us dubious but as I say not that bad very good value for money you get what you pay for, and with breakfast included. Tea and coffee supplied as was hand soap, no shower gel, 2 odd towels in room ok but if you're fussy take your own.

Couldn't get the TV to work, sure they would've popped up and looked at it if we had asked but it didn't cause us any issues. Only thing really was the curtains would be better if they were blackout or even lined.

I was made very welcome by the youngsters hosts Adam and Kayleigh, who made me a hot drink and were very pleasant to talk to. The room was great and more than I expected for the price with plenty of drink make facilties and a TV with a great signal quite rare for free view in Blackers!!, the room was clean and pleasant to stay in. The included breakfast was also great. Keep up the good work you 2 iam sure you will succeed.

The mattress was a bit springy but this could just be me as I have memory foam, this is not a complaint, just a mention. I had a decent night's sleep, please don't be offended
