Karen was very friendly and helpful, the room was on the smaller size but was clean and tidy and the bed was so comfy. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a modern style. We were there for a wedding so tbh didn't need to know about the area but it's a quiet little village street, roadside parking, and a coop close by

There was no light walking to the side door at night, but didn't want to walk through the pub even though it was ok too, but if it was closed by the time you returned it was very dark. Would of liked a slightly bigger TV as I'm as blind as a bat. The cold bathroom tap ran warm then hot before going cold.

Had a lovely stay at the loco. The rooms are quit small but accomodate everything you could wish for, perfect for a short stay! The hosts were incredible and serve the best tikka massala. Everything was well taken care of and very clean, I felt immediately at ease after a long travel due to the warm welcome.

Stayed here as going to a concert locally. Contacted the hotel for details of local taxi firms the day before checking in & they sent details of local companies very quickly. The owners then phoned me to let me know that some of their friends were going to the same concert & that they had added us to the mini bus, so they could make sure we could get there & back safely at half the price if we had gone separately. Their friends made sure we were all ok & did get safely back, where the owner had waited up to make sure we were back safely & had prepared us some pizza, in case we hadn’t had a chance to eat (which they didn’t charge us for). My friend & I were gobsmacked at how friendly & kind the owners were to us, service was impeccable, room was comfy, clean & inviting, great breakfast in the morning (& the pizza was to die for!) very reasonably priced & above & beyond service from the owners. Would heartily recommend staying here.

Only issue was parking, as no car park but was able to park opposite.

The welcome and the friendliness of the hosts Ziggy and Karen was lovely. The-en-suite room was clean and airy and benefitted from air-conditioning, the bed was very comfortable and the location of the hotel afforded a peaceful and restful night's sleep. The bar had a relaxed atmosphere and the beer was excellent. Ziggy's freshly prepared, handmade authentic Italian pizzas - they were absolutely delicious - a must try for guests! The most impressive moment of all for me, was that my wife and I had decided on The Loco, with every intention of hiring a taxi to travel to and from a concert in Doncaster. Ziggy pre-empted this by calling me two days before our stay, having already arranged a minibus for other guests staying for the same reason. This act was totally unexpected and went above and beyond exceptional customer service. I can't recommend The Loco highly enough and hope to return again soon.

Staff were lovely, very welcoming Great little place room very clean also aircon which was a plus for me as I always get hot threw the night , breakfast was perfect fresh orange juice and coffee included in the price , we will definitely be staying again as location is perfect for us for visiting our friends

The location was very easy to find and although parking was on the road ( ie not in a hotel car park) it was directly opposite to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent value for money (included in the room price), freshly cooked and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room and en-suite were both very clean.

The room was very hot but had air conditioning which was easy to use. The windows could be opened to let in some fresh air. The evening food available was only pizza but this was freshly cooked, reasonably priced and very tasty.

Great breakfast and the landlord and landlady very welcoming even helping us to get 'home delivery' dinners on evenings restaurant shut. Even down to letting us use the restaurant and their plates/cutlery.

Bedrooms quite small but ok for 2 night stay but very clean

Staff were wonderfully accommodating. We arrived earlier than planned and the rooms were ready for us. Good beer, cheap pool table, friendly staff and excellent pizza in the evening (plus a bonus curry was going round for the pool team that was in for the night!). Followed up by a stonking breakfast served hot and fresh when we requested it.

I struggled to get the aircon working properly, but that was more likely to have been user error than anything wrong with the unit or remote (Seemed to work perfectly for our host when they demonstrated it!).

Very clean, very friendly, food was great especially the spicy pizza and location was easy to find.

No car park but totally understand there’s not a lot can be done about that although there was quite a few spaces on the road outside. May I suggest a mirror over the dresser instead of a picture.

Friendly welcome from the lovely hosts, lovely comfortable beds with pristine white bedding and feather duvet, aircon in bedroom and amazing fluffy towels in shower room. Breakfast was cooked to order, fabulous overnight stay. If ever in the area again The Loco would be my number one place to stay

Would have been nice to have had curtains as well as the vertical blinds, just to keep the morning sun at bay for a couple more hours 🌞
