It's in a great location and there's many extras that other hotels don't think of. The little things like a dim light in the bathroom so you don't have to use the big bright lights at night. there was a great selection of biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We found there seemed to be a big American influence on the whole place with the thought that has gone into the hotel and restaurants. The evolution restaurant is very Disney like. it's great fun and the food was delicious. The wilds restaurant again the food was lovely. We had breakfast there every morning except one. The food is was good quality and at a reasonable price. The one morning we tried a different local cafe showed us the difference in quality of ingredients and we paid the same as we did at the hotel so we stayed in the hotel for breakfast after that. The food on the main menu was delicious and the prices were the same as other restaurant in the area so if you don't feel like venturing out it won't break the bank to eat there. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and soft, that is a big thing for me as usually I don't find hotel beds comfortable.

The walk from the carpark to the actual hotel is a bit of a distance. My husband clocked it at about a quarter of a mile each way with I bit of a hill to the path. Which isn't a lot if you are able bodied without lots of luggage (though in reception they have trollies for your luggage). It was difficult for me as i struggled walking after a bad fall. The bedside table although they look great and fit in well with the room, we found them a little impractical.

Room size brilliant, lovely area, loved the park (except the snow!). Everywhere was clean and lovely. Loved the desk/vanity mirror. Loved that the tv had my name on and I could stream from my phone to the tv. WiFi is brilliant too. Just outside the hotel are a number of independent shops and places to eat.

Being a woman of a certain age, a chair would be more beneficial than a beanbag to sit on and I would have loved a bath in the room, but I understand that they have suites with baths in. Kids may love the evolution restaurant, but for a more grown up feel, go to the bistro. (The restaurant is good, it’s just very aimed at kids and I am an adult)

We had a great time during our stay at Hex hotel. The staff was lovely and helpful. Special thanks to the young lad working at the hotel (we saw him hoovering and taking laundry out) helping us with directions . We stayed at a family room, just one unit. The room was nice and clean with all the essentials. Our little one loved the bean bag chair which was a nice touch. Breakfast was served at the Wilds Café Bistro, great ambience. Lots of small shops and cafes around. The whole place is really welcoming. We will definitely come back 😊

The only thing we didn't like was the reception being away from the main building.

Lovely staff welcoming and helpful.,comfortable bed (jammie dodgers nice touch)shower lovely ,very clean . Nicely stocked with toiletries. Very well thought out rooms ,everything you could need.iron ironing board,hairdryer,safe, We enjoyed our stay very comfortable.

Circular rug was slippy on polished floor almost fell . Heating couldn't be turned any lower than 19 degrees and no option to turn heating off and unable to stop it coming on in the morning ,windows non opening for fresh air .this however would not stop us staying again as on checkout we mentioned this and were told fans are available.

the room was lovely and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing. the staff at the breakfast venue were lovely.

This place is fine if you can walk.. if not bring a wheelchair as it is a longways from the disabled parking. The hotel corridors are quite long also. The reception staff were unhelpful as they could have told me I could borrow a wheelchair from the park. They could see the state of my 92 year old father but were very unconcerned and were looking at each other as much as to say ' here we go'. I do think that this should be explained in the write up of the hotel. Just to advise the view of the park is of the painted dogs so if you are thinking anything better don't. I did like it though. lovely laying in bed watching them.

The stay was fantastic! This is now the 2nd time staying at the Hex and both times exceeded expectations! Love the size of room, the facilities provided in the room (nice coffee bags not cheap coffee!) Bonus is that you can purchase a small bottle of fresh filtered milk from the vending machine on the first floor. If you are staying for a celebration rooms come with an ice bucket and there is also an ice dispenser in the Kitchenette on the first floor which also has a microwave! Bathroom and showers are lovely.

Breakfast can be hit and miss - it is a buffet style breakfast. The first time we stayed it was lovely and hot and very tasty. This time it was colder and a little bland - not sure if the produce has changed …… However, it was still edible and a good way to start the days ready for the long walk around the park!

the room size & bathroom facility's really good. The hex shops were a great addition ..the safe in the room. the complex was great, would be fantastic in summer! lots of places to eat in the wildlife park. There was 2 restaurants on site. a little expensive, but overall good. Also staff were lovely, helpful & friendly! Would definitely go again!

The room although was good and a great size, the view was not as it was stated ..we requested for a park view, we actually got view of shop, ticket office. unless I actually bent my head & back (which was bad) to see some of the dinosaurs.. so we were disappointed with that.. maybe a pool for the future, would be a good addition to the park..maybe super kingsize beds especially in accessibility rooms.

Mainly clean and tidy room, great facilities, great setting.. Easy access. Good view over the wildlife park.. With a good camera you can see some animals.

Whoever thought of putting reception nowhere near the hotel? I can only imagine that to be very inconvenient should there be any issues. Also worth noting that it's a good walk from the carpark to the hotel. Visible build up of dust on light fittings, a few more seconds cleaning in the bathroom would have also been appreciated (splash marks up the wall by the sink)... But that's really just being picky. In general. Pretty good.

The hotel was stunning as well as the location it was clean and peaceful even being the summer holidays we stayed over the weekend into the week and never felt like it was too busy, the air-conditioned room was such a nice luxury to have, the hotel staff were so welcoming and helped us with anything we needed nothing seemed to little of a problem for them to want to help I can't speak highly enough of them. Being park side we had a gorgeous view of the park and could see the animals from our room, although it wasn't a guarantee being able to see them we was luckily to see the bush dogs and sea lions.

Nothing, everything was amazing. We haven't got a single complaint of our stay with them it was perfect for us

The room was lovely. Love the decorations, modern but still tied into nature. Bathroom was really nice, decent size and clean. Bed was comfy. TV was smart, so we could watch netflix at night. Breakfast buffet was yum. Mini fridge, safe, and iron/ironing board in room too.

Reception wasn't I'm the same building. Taxi found it difficult to find location, ended up charging us extra. Not many lights if you want to go for a walk into the village nearby. Windows were perfect height for everyone outside to see just your bum 😂 maybe make the curtains separate so I could close just one side
