Booked as a overnight on the way up to North Wales for a motorcycle trip, . Greeted with nice welcome, heating was put on for us to dry soggy gloves etc. Dinner was amazing , the food all came at the same time,.piping hot and delicious, 8 of us and no one said any less than amazing. Desert also great. And then to breakfast, ample toast kept coming , large pots of tea and coffee and choice of breakfast ... host very good as well and stood making us laugh in the bar after dinner, service was great, would defo use again if we are.in the area..

Small thing carpark was a bit muddy but with the amount of rain that was about not much could be done about that...

I discovered this inn during a challenging cycling trip through Wales. Upon my late arrival, I was touched to find a sandwich and milk waiting in my room - a simple gesture that meant everything at that moment. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room quiet and perfectly clean. Breakfast was also excellent, setting me up perfectly for another day of cycling. What truly stood out, though, was the genuine warmth of the staff. Their kindness made me feel truly welcome despite my disheveled state. The village and surrounding area are peaceful and picturesque. While my stay was brief, I'm already planning a return visit to properly explore the area.

The hospitality and breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable. We had evening meals on 2 occasions and they were excellent in both quality and value for money. It was very dog friendly, both in the bar and in the rooms. Would definitely stay there again.

Couldn't really find much to fault it - the only thing I would have liked was somewhere in the shower to put soap, shower gel etc.

The Roast Ox is in a gorgeous village location and is a lovely rustic building. Bedroom was clean, well presented and compact bathroom with a selection of quality toiletries. Breakfast was cooked on request with a great selection of other breakfast food. We had our evening meals at the Pub as well, these were restaurant quality food, ample portions and all cooked to order. For drinkers the pub carries a wide range of ales, wines etc. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.

Personal preference would be to have blackout blinds, curtains.

We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and our pets were made so welcome. The staff went above an beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The food and service second to none.

There was nothing I didn't like. Under pressure the staff were delivering, so nice and kind. There is nothing negative to report.

The hosts were absolutely lovely, they were extremely attentive and kind. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Comfy bed. Dog friendly

The bathroom was very cramped with nowhere to put a toiletry bag; we could have done with a corner shelf or unit. Shower a very tight cubicle and the shower head needs replacing as water was leaking from its sides.

The owners are so friendly. The food was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. It is very dog friendly, we ate in the bar with the dogs. The chef who I think is the owner got up early and cooked us a lovely bacon sandwich, so kind as it was an early start. Really recommend this lovely place, stunning views and great people.

OMG, what a great Inn. The bed was extremely comfortable, the setting was idyllic and it was quiet. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly. The pub was very busy and a lot of fun, though I was too tired to take full advantage of the Saturday night fun. Breakfast was a full-on English breakfast with cereals, juice, 2 eggs, bacon, homemade toast and jam, mushrooms, roast tomato and the best breakfast sausage know to man. Be sure to reserve a table for dinner as they do fill up. As an aside, the kind staff (Christine and Jan) look after a feral cat that hangs out at the Inn. Not sure of his/her name, but she was very friendly and liked a good scratch on the neck. I woke up early the next morning to find the cat waiting at my door. After a light scratching, She led me downstairs to let her out. The entire experience at Roast Ox Inn was perfect and is highly recommended.

There's nothing to complain about.

The room was bright and clean, with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Views were lovely. The food was exceptionally good, from a standard pub menu but everything fresh and really nicely cooked. We loved it.

Only issue as mentioned by others was the soundproofing, as you could hear other rooms. It did not disturb us though.

A very warm welcome, beautifully clean, absolutely delicious food, a property full of character. The service and attention to detail was second to none. Excellently priced and absolutely value for money.

Nothing!! It was absolutely lovely but it would be great if the Welsh language could be acknowledged in some way in terms of signage etc. I realise it’s not situated in the Welsh heartland but nonetheless it is in Wales.
