100% excellent on all levels - Sue the host was amazing - Paddy the dog was super cute. The room was comfortable, the shower was hot, the breakfast was great and the dinner was also great. Good options for an evening meal if we wanted to stay in or close to other villages for other options. Fantastic recommendation from Sue to visit Hay-on-Wye which we did on the day we left - we had a wonderful time exploring the bookshops and the Saturday markets.
I cannot think of anything to improve (unless Sue could command the weather!! Ha ha ) Although even with the clouds it didn't matter as we were so happy with our accommodation and the location and the hospitality.

Sue was a lovely host. Very friendly and helpful. Bed super comfy, shower small but great temperature and powerful enough. Breakfast was yum, and the option for a packed lunch was much appreciated.
Nothing we didn't like. As a bit of feedback, would suggest the twin room could probably benefit from another rail to hang towels on as not quite enough room when you have two lots after a shower. Could also do with a couple more hooks in the main room (on door or wall) for coats.

If you want both the comfort and cleanliness of a 4-star hotel and the coziness of a B&B, look no further. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, high-standard ensuite bathroom. A very quiet location, in the heart of Brecon Beacons. Broad range of choices for breakfast: cooked English/Welsh, omelettes, cooked meats & cheeses, fruits. Dinner options are also great and include vegan and GF dishes. The ground floor has a traditional country pub feel. Thank you, Sue, for hosting us!

It was like a home away from home. At first we were a bit concerned about the room and bathroom size but these were not an issue as we fitted without a problem. The ‘old pub feel’ was very relaxing, it was nice to come ‘home’ after a busy day sightseeing and relax in the lounge before dinner. Our host (Sue) was amazing and her suggestions for things to do were great - as were her breakfasts! At the end of our 4 day stay she felt like a friend.
All was good.

The Plough and Harrow was a good base for a couple of days in and around the Brecon Beacons. The room was traditionally furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We also had a nice evening meal there one night and drinks at the bar.
Room possibly a bit cramped if you have lots of luggage. Wi-Fi ok but it had a tendency to drop out unexpectedly. Check in time was a little late, but it worked for us as we were already in the area during the day.

This was one of the most delightful places I've stayed. The publican Sue treated us like family, we felt very much at home and looked forward to our evenings with Sue and her dog Paddy. The meals were wonderful, ample breakfasts fueled our day. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sue gave us fantastic sightseeing advice which made our stay even better than planned. Thank you dearly for a memorable stay.

So clean, cosy, friendly and welcoming and Paddy (the owners dog). Should be illegal how ridiculously comfortable the bed was. Sue was very accommodating to us and even packed us a breakfast to bring with us when we were leaving before breakfast time.
Parking was a bit tricky but it’s a small quiet area so wasn’t much of an issue having to park a little bit away one of the evenings.

The genuine friendliness of Sue, the land lady, and not forgetting wee doggie Paddy, her adorable dog. Beds super comfy and room/shower immaculate. Let’s not forget the locally sourced food which was all locally sourced. Breakfast was delicious and supper beautifully presented and yummy scrumpy. Absolutely first class all the way
Absolutely nothing.

Bed and Breakfast par excellence plus the human touch. You have a wonderful old school pub ambience with the personal attention to detail associated with a single room B&B . The breakfast and evening meals are of great quality and open to adapt according to your needs. You are made to feel welcome at all times. Great also that they are part of supporting local enterprises such as local provider's of food and produce. This is a business run with passion and anyone who stays for short or long will benefit from very traditional hospitality.
If visiting out of main season you may wish to ask for the rooms to be warmer. If you do I am sure this would be accommodated.
