Great included breakfast - continental and cooked offerings. The room I had was spacious, comfortable and had everything needed for an overnight business stay. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Good selection of TV channels, everything worked - nice touch with the biscuits in the room along with the coffee and tea. Friendly and helpful staff and really inexpensive when compared to hotels with similar amenities. I'll be back for work and pleasure trips.

There were power issues following a storm and we lost power in the hotel for about 20 minutes, not the fault of the hotel but there appeared to be no backup generator to keep essential lighting on in corridors, etc. The interior corridors are a bit dated but everything in the hotel rooms is modern.

Breakfast was lovely, great selection. Bedrooms lovely and spacious. We asked for a slightly later check out and the staff were more than happy to help. Really appreciated that! The blonde lady at breakfast was wonderful. Very helpful and nice.

The bar wasn't open at all during our stay, which was very disappointing, nor was it open early afternoon. When we arrived (admittedly it was around 10p.m.) there was no staff whatsoever, the hotel was unmanned and it was very tricky to find our rooms. As 2 of us where in one building and the other two in a separate building. We luckily knew somebody staying at the hotel so they checked in for us earlier in the day.

The Staff were very helpful and friendly! The bathroom was lovely and the shower very comfortable indeed. The room was lovely and warm.

Would have welcomed, at least, 1 chair in the room. Also, extra pillows and a set of shampoo/ shower gel for 2 (only 1 was supplied, although we were a couple). Would suggest to have the access window/ door with no see through glass so one could benefit from natural light, instead of having to have the curtains drawn (and artificial lights on) for privacy.

We thought the location of the hotel was brilliant as it enabled us to sightsee in the local area very easily. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and the staff (Cerys) was fantastically helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We did not have dinner in the hotel as the restaurant was not open that evening but we had a fab breakfast all freshly cooked and had delivered by the chef. Our room was lovely and warm and the bed was so comfortable - great nights sleep :o) Thank you Cerys and breakfast room staff. Plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel.

My only comment would be that we did not have a room in the main part of the hotel but in one of the lovely outbuildings/cottages in the side lane. We would have liked to have been in the main building but we cannot fault the quality and standard of the cottage room. The weather that night was really awful and wet and we would have liked to of spent more time in the bar area which was very nice and cosy but went back to our room due to the weather.

Very warm welcome from the reception staff which is always a good start. The room was obviously newly refurbished and was very smart, especially the bathroom. I can't speak for the restaurant, but the menu looked good. Breakfast was very good with really good eggs benedict! Housekeeping is top notch too; the room was spotless. There is a garden for guests which is a nice oasis. The hotel is nicely located and there's lots to see and do within a short drive.

Not a lot. We were in the older part and there was a little noise transference through the walls but nothing to be alarmed about. We were near the catering fans but again, no problem with the window closed. Other than that, I can't fault the hotel. An enjoyable stay.

Town centre location near good indian restaurant, Ample parking, friendly reception and at breakfast. Spacious clean room. Large walk in shower cubicle with both overhead rose and hand held shower and good water pressure. Well cooked full English breakfast including self service fruit juice, cereals, yogurt and bread with toaster.

Very minimal and expensive choice of bar style evening meal. Double rather than king size bed with was poorly supported mattress so not the most comfortable. A danish pastry &/or muffins would be a nice addition to the breakfast

No towels in room on arrival and the next day my room was not made up. I then had to go to reception for the second time in 2 days to ask for clean towels and tea/coffee/milk to be replenished. The receptionist was most apologetic and replaced towel and tea coffee etc. She asked if she could make the room up but I said no problem I can make the bed etc.

Exactly what I needed. I had a single room which had everything I could have needed, spotlessly clean and everything in the room worked. Same for the bathroom....spotless and modern. Friendly and helpful staff and a fabulous cooked breakfast, all for a favourable rate. Situated in a small town, but with plenty of take away food shops should you decide not to eat at the hotel. Plenty of private secluded parking to the rear, perfect for touring motorcyclists like myself. I really recommend a stay here. Thank you.

Nothing to dislike at all.

I was staying alone and really appreciated the very friendly staff, especially at (the very delicious) breakfast. I don't enjoy eating alone but the subdued lighting made it very enjoyable. I felt very cared for as Joanne remembered every morning that I liked a view of the tractors going through the town and seated me accordingly. :) I loved my room! Such a comfy bed.. Fab TV and sparkling bathroom.

I actually can't think of any improvements..

Firstly, we got an absolute bargain price with Booking.com Genius discounts and cashback site offers, with a room upgrade to boot.... so no complaints on the value for money front. The hotel is clean, modern and centrally located in the centre of the town. Its a quality gaff. Room was nice, and decent breakfast. Would stay again.

No fruit or 'Continental' breakfast options available, and the restaurant was closed in the evening before 8pm. The Bunch of Grapes pub next door offers decent food in a pleasant environment, so no real hassle. We stayed mid week in March, so maybe the hotel will offer more in the 'season'.
