Very well kept tidy and clean. Staff helpful. Only one point raised! Our room door entry card on first entry opened a room across the corridor and having placed all our belongings there, on return that evening we naturally used the card for the correct room, to find of all our belongings were not there, because we mistakenly placed in the room that opened with the entry door card. The night attendant checked our two cards and confirmed they opened the room intended. He then set up another card for the mistaken room to find, as we suspected, all our clothes etc., were there. With his help we transferred our belongings into the correct room. He promised to report the matter for further investigation. But such an incident could have resulted in theft of valuables? We trust this matter will be taken seriously and resolved to assure other clients safe stay.

Possible defects in the room entry security should be thoroughly investigated and properly corrected. I

The location was perfect for our needs, bed was very comfortable and room was spacious

There were a few cleanliness issues i think, room and bathroom were dusty in places, the corridor leading to rooms in places was filthy with stains. Maybe would be useful to have an information sheet in room with hotel facilities listed such as restuarant opening times etc as when we checked in the receptionist reeled all the information off so quickly we found we had forgotten it by the time we got to the room! Also would have been nice to have hand towels in room as well as the 2 large bath towels, i was told hand towels are not provided.

Room was excellent - never got a breakfast there as an event I attended involved in the town lots of food in itself.

The roads right outside the hotel are extremely dangerous to cross and need either a pedestrian crossing or a subway underpass. The hotel entrance for anyone on foot is a narrow parg entrance some way past the reception entrance and once through it you have to walk quite a way the opposite direction to get past a crah barrier ro face the dangerous eoad crossing experiece - the assumption seens to ve that eveetobe drives.

Nice vibe , lady in the desk was lovely and man behind the bar was very helpful.

We tried getting early check in , rang up before hand and someone said it would be okay and they would put a note on the booking, only to arrive and the lady said the rooms were all taken on a first come first service which wasn’t explained to us. However I can’t fault she helped amazingly and managed to get my friend in early on her booking meaning I could go in with my friend and just had to wait for ours.

Very comfy bed, slept like logs. Managed to get a 2nd quilt so we were nice n warm on a very cold night. Good enough room for what we paid. Staff were really nice, helpful and cheerful. Good coffee! Location very good, a bit traffic noisy but right in town so to be expected. Possible to walk to the shops and restaurants etc. Staff deserve big thanks for being there and working hard over Festive Season. Would stay again.

Lift is a bit old and tired. Windows old, need double glazing, dripping with condensation. Traffic noise, due to windows not being soundproof. Bathroom floor had all sorts of debris round the edges! Breakfast - didn't enjoy it at all unfortunately. The food items had been out too long and had lost their appeal, were lukewarm, dry and hard. Sorry, we didn't get value for money there at all I'm afraid. Didn't complain. It was Boxing Day and staff were all there, carrying on their normal routine over the Festive Season, with good humour and happy smiles. Someone arguing loudly in the back carpark, underneath bedroom window at silly o'clock!

Ideal location. Easy access to eateries etc. Hotel is in need of some updating but staff are friendly and our room was clean. The shower worked and the bed was comfortable.

We only had breakfast on the final morning. It was adequate. Unfortunately due to being a buffet style the food items had been kept warm on warmers and in cast iron pots. I would have preferred a freshly cooked breakfast for the £12 pp paid. The other days we went to Morrisons and got two freshly cooked breakfasts for £10.total.

It's a budget hotel and everything was as expected. It was clean and comfortable, we used it as a base for exploring the area and it met our needs for our 5 night stay.

Room was very warm and the double/double glazing made it difficult to ventilate the room. I understand the windows are to cut down on the very loud traffic noise, it is located at an extremely busy junction. Personally, I quickly got used to the constant noise and slept well. There was a rather bad smell coming from the drain in the bathroom washbasin, quite unpleasant.

The staff were very pleasant both when I contacted them en route due to a delay to expected time of arrival due to traffic problems. Also each time we spoke to the staff on reception. Very chatty and friendly. The room was large with a very large and comfortable bed. It was also clean and the provision of shower and hand wash facilities was much appreciated considering the price was very reasonable.

The position is not good as it is situated between to main roads and the traffic noise continued into the night. Sadly, the carpet in the ground floor corridor appeared to have had a large amount of paint on it from, I assume, when this was redecorated. Not good. Also there was a strong smell in this corridor too

I love staying at this hotel and the room was lovely and warm when I checked in. The room was clean and tidy, spaceous and provided tea and coffee facilities.

The bed was uncomfortable. It felt like it was old and I could feel the springs digging into my hips whenever I laid down. This is the first time this has happpened after having many good stays here previously. I did not have a bin bag in my bin under the desk which I had to use a spare cup to put tea bags into so I would not make a mess of the bin.

This chain of hotels have got everything right Breakfast available till 12 lunchtime at weekend and till 10 am week days and was all really Hot and variety was good Tea and coffee available all day at the bar Plenty of tea coffee milk in bedrooms All staff friendly Keep doing what you do Will definitely book Ibis again Kay Edson York
