Comfortable and clean room with countryside and distant sea view Staff peasant and helpful.

No longer providing cooked breakfast now Hamper in room this was quite generous but didn't suit my diet needs. As I have mobility problems the lift was not very reliable. Evening meal now served in bar area.

Breakfast was poor -- see below. Location was good, so was parking and we could walk across the fields to the beach which was nice.

Disappointed. We had expected a cooked breakfast served in the dining room but were told after we had paid but before arrival it would be a packed basket meal delivered to the room the day before. Since there was no table we had to eat on our laps, make tea from the in room facility and drink orange juice from the plastic bottle. Booking.com should advertise this as a prepacked breakfast then people will know. The hotel seemed to run with a minimal staff; no one to receive us on arrival and certainly no one to say goodbye, thanks for staying!

The location was excellent. Great base between Cromer and Sheringham. Views from our bedroom were stunning over looking the fields and sea. The bar area was modern, boutique style with lovely pictures on the walls. It also caters for your pooch.Staff were helpful and friendly, especially Sam.

There was no option for a cook breakfast as we had hampers in our bedroom. I dont actually have a problem with that except if this is the only option then maybe the quality of what's actually in the hamper could be of better quality. Example. Yogurt, pastries, biscuits. A coffee machine would have been nice to and cups instead of mugs. This is just my personal view and preference. I may add though this would not stop me returning and staying there again as it is a little gem of a place.

The room was a good size, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant were spacious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, even helping us by lending a hose when our dog got really muddy so we could clean him up! Our dog was welcomed as much as us, in fact it was the most stress-free hotel stay we've ever had with him, and there are lots of lovely walks nearby, with loads of dog-friendly businesses all around. The car park was fairly busy as the bar is obviously popular with locals too, which gave it a warm atmosphere (but not raucous), and even in winter everywhere was nice and warm.

The shower was low pressure and didn't ever get above lukewarm, other than that everything was great.

This place is a hidden gem.. a homely welcoming and very comfortable hotel with staff that were an absolute pleasure to deal with. A very special mention for Owen who my daughter took an instant like too.. recently diagnosed autistic she is normally very awkward when holding new social conversations and struggles to keep with the flow but she and Owen chatted as if they'd known each other for years. He was an absolute star and so very kind. Swifties 4 ever! Thankyou x

Slightly miffed that we had to pay for a hot chocolate at breakfast for the kids.. free tea and coffee for us adults.

The breakfast was excellent! Help yourself to cereal, fruit juice, fruit etc! Then order off an extensive menu for hot food brought to the table. All as part of the price for B/B! We stayed for two nights, our intention was to eat the hotel the first night, and eat out the second! Food and menu so good ate at hotel both evenings. Bedroom was super. Room 8! Such comfy beds and pillows. Bathroom very good, with excellent fittings. ( couple of hooks on bathroom door would have been useful! But being picky now!!!) All the staff we saw were smiley, helpful and pleasant!

Nothing!!

A real gem, decorated well throughout, great freebies to make use of near the bar such as pool, darts, board games. Patio area very pretty with a beautiful sea view in the day and lovely fairy lights at night. The staff are friendly, rooms are tidy with comfortable beds, but the food!! The food is delicious! Highly recommend the breakfast halloumi & avocado brioche roll or the prawns to start for dinner. There’s also so many drinks on offer at the bar - the espresso martinis are lovely!

Our experience was great overall truly no cons, it is quiet in the evenings which is something to bear in mind if you prefer to stay somewhere with more going on.

Easy to find and staff so friendly and helpful. They even found a safe place for our bikes as we were cycle touring . No need to leave the hotel as they had a very good bar and restaurant. They even added a new cocktail to their list for us which was a gimlet . Delicious. We were all given family rooms so plenty room and beds ( 3 per couple!) Showers very hot and a breakfast hamper in each of our rooms , though the manager was happy to make us coffees in the bar area in the morning before we left.

Nothing

Great Location easy parking room with sea view was lovely. Evening meal was superb as were the friendly staff, good breakfast.

Although the breakfast was good the lady serving breakfast gave the impression she would rather be somewhere else, service was poor. Lack of water pressure in loft room was a real issue had to give up on the shower as the water flow simply stopped on the second morning of our stay, it looks like this is an ongoing issue because it’s mentioned several times previously in other reviews. Such a shame and spoils what is otherwise a fabulous room.

From the minute we walked in and ordered a drink at the bar, we knew the staff here wee really customer focused. Owen the Manager, was very friendly and he made us relaxed whilst we waited for our room to be ready. We had three meals here, lunch and dinner on Saturday and a fantastic carvery on Sunday. All extremely good. the room was great and the location also great as it was equidistant between Cromer and Sheringham. Would highly recommend.

Couldn't really fault anything.
