It was clean and tidy. Decent sized room. Location was in the centre of the town which was great.
Pillows very uncomfortable. No toilet brush in bathroom but the holder was there. Didn't serve breakfast. The bar closed at 6pm.

The landlady and staff were so friendly and helpful. The Sunday lunch lived up to it's reputation, was so tasty, several veg, great portions and best of all it was hot! So many places serve lukewarm food these days. Location was fab right in the centre of town. Room was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy, comfy bed, nice towels, great shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Pelican Inn to anyone wanting a great stay in Devizes.
Not a criticism just a suggestion, the outside light is on all night right outside the bedroom window, we like total darkness in our bedroom, would be good if it could be turned off independently or go off on a timer late at night, or maybe blackout curtains? Also some shelves in the space next to hanging space would be handy to put stuff on as we were there 3 days and storage was a little limited.

Friendly welcome and simple check-in process. The room is well equipped, clean, well maintained and very tastefully decorated. Nice size bathroom with clean / modern shower unit with excellent water pressure and hot water. In room Tea/ Coffee making facilities and very tasteful, clean and bright decorations make the room very attractive, peaceful and homely (I travel often for business so recognizing a homely atmosphere is important). Access to room even when associated pub is closed was easy. Excellent location in the center of the marketplace with many restaurant options nearby.
Nothing.

Good welcome from member of staff, room spotless, great shower, nice courtyard shared with the 2 other rooms. Good location and well back from road/ market square so very quiet. A comfy bed. Great burnt orange towels!
Everything was fine. Room on the small side but we knew that before we booked and it was very good value for money. We came by bike - you need to add bike and walking to "methods of transport" to encourage people to get off fossil fuels and use other alternatives - the canal path is a great way to get there from Bradford on Avon or Trowbridge and probably from east as well

My mum who is in her 70s and has some mobility issues has stayed at The Pelican for the last two years, visiting us from Yorkshire. The room she stayed in was comfortable, clean and very accessible with her walker. The owners and staff are all friendly and accommodating, topping up tea and coffee supplies regularly and just happy to have a chat! The location is superb for accessing the market place and museum and a short walk from the main shopping area in Devizes.

The Pelican Inn is in the main square, but the rooms are located at the rear of the pub because they had been the stables. Our room, No. 2, had no window but a magnificent skylight which flooded the room with light during the day and closed electronically by us, with absolutely no light showing, in the evening. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The room opened onto a pretty courtyard garden - we stayed Monday and Tuesday night and the pub closed at 6pm, so we sat quietly in the garden. Highly recommend this accommodation!
Nothing.

Comfy, clean room with compact en suite. Remote control skylight so room could be darkened at night. Main window and door to courtyard where there were several tables and seating areas. Good size, comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Very handy for the main square and shops. Reasonably priced.
Sadly no breakfast on offer but we brought our own. Option to eat this out in the courtyard in summer. Noise from pub customers sitting outside the room in the courtyard and from live entertainment on Saturday night until half past midnight in the pub.

We had a warm, cosy ground floor room in the old stables at the back of the beer garden. The heating was good enough on a night when it was below zero outside, which we were thankful for. Evening meals weren't available the night we stayed as there was a Christmas market in the bar, but we had a good meal at the Bear next door. The Pelican is right in the town centre, so there are loads of food options. We parked opposite in the Market Place to unload, but there's a 2 hour limit - the Wharf car park was only another 5 minutes away without the restrictions. There's plenty to see and do in and around the town, which is very attractive. We would stay here again.
When there are people in the beer garden, they're right outside your window - not a problem in the winter, but may be more so in summer.

Loved the warm, welcoming feel to this very old coaching Inn, the staff were very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and the room was exceptional - warm, modern, clean & fully equipped with everything we needed. The location of the Pelican Inn was absolutely perfect for walking to and from the local 'Quakers Walk' parkrun. We shall definitely be returning.
All was fine.

Really nice new room in the courtyard behind the pub. Very clean and comfortable. Great location right in the middle of town. Also its a great pub to have a drink. There are lots of places nearby to get breakfast. Staff dealt with issues quickly - even early in the morning.
These aren't criticisms - just things to remember for a visit. First you can park outside in the square overnight but you need to make sure you move your car by 8am - the pub has no car park (unsurprisingly given its location) . Second remember there is no breakfast included - you have a few cafes and a Weatherspoon's nearby though.
