It took a while to check in really slow I never stay at a holiday inn before so it was my first time but he didn't say hi and didn't say where things where like bar and breakfast was at this time and bar open from this time breakfast staff was amazing they smile all the time very helpful but front desk was not good but apart from that was a nice stay for first time at holiday in for me your maids for room service was great to they very friendly

No much apart u need a new coffee machine that we try to use as getting breakfast it wasn't working well kept saying no coffee

The hotel is ideally placed for either an early or late ferry crossing. Breakfast was good, and the on site (mostly Italian based) restaurant meant a tasty meal could be enjoyed without having to drive anywhere. The staff all seemed pleasant and helpful.

Baths! I find getting in and out of baths tricky, and a shower would be much easier for people of limited mobility. Last year when I enquired about a shower, I was told that there was only one "disabled" bathroom in the entire hotel.

I always like IHG hotels as you know what you are getting. The room is well similar in all hotels have everything you need and the beds and pillows never disappoint. Staff were polite and friendly. We had a breakfast and evening meal package and both meals were absolutely fantastic! The hotel had beautiful grounds however when we went it rained so we didn’t go out there but I can imagine on a sunny day sitting out having drinks in the garden would be lovely! Parking also is free and plenty of it.

We were attending a wedding hotel was the best option for within the location of wedding venue, the hotel was fab beautiful grounds terrace area to sit outside was lovely, room very clean comfortable gave us everything we needed, staff were all very professional, friendly nothing to much trouble, facilities hotel offer were great good bar, Bella Pasta restaurant, breakfast was great couldn’t ask for anything more would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike.

It was nicely laid out, with different seating areas. A restaurant with a separate bar, where you could take food to if you wanted, and a nice relaxing seating area with sofas and armchairs. You could play games with the family whilst relaxing, and this allowed me to get the youngest to bed without everyone in the room. Our room was nice, clean and cool in the heat outside. The staff were friendly, helpful and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options.

we had such an amazing stay at your hotel! The service from all staff members was exceptional. I'd asked for an accessible room for my mum, and our room was one of the 1st ones downstairs, which made it very easy. We had an amazing 3 course meal from Bella Italia, which was delicious! Also the breakfast the following morning was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had - the lady who was helping us was very lovely too, couldn't have been more helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like! The only thing I could say, and this isn't a negative, just more of an observation! For a room that's accessible, it could have had something that kept the door open, for ease when getting a mobility scooter/wheelchair through. and also, the soap dispenser was quite a distance from the sink! So for my mum, and others in a wheelchair, would struggle to reach it when at the sink. Really small things, but would really help others I think!

The staff far exceeded our expectations. They bent over backwards to assist us with every request. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the food was excellent. Martin at the front desk was so patient with us. The chef offered a variety of personal options to make sure we fully enjoyed our meals.

It is a little bit far from the train station, shops and eateries, so guests should plan for taxis. One of our parties was also in an accessible room, which resulted in the floor constantly being wet. **However, they were very full and were squeezing us in. We were very thankful to have the rooms!!**

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 30 years and am pleased that during refurbishment the lighting was improved in the bedrooms. The very obliging breakfast chef is still working and all the staff were attentive and friendly. The Bella Italia restaurant is a great addition to the hotel.

Unfortunately our room wasn't serviced on the first day. During refurbishment the already cramped bathrooms were given a sink which now protrudes even more into the room and could be a struggle for larger visitors.

The hotel has a bella italia restaurant inside so the food and bar area were excellent. The room was comfortable and had what we needed for a one night stay before catching the ferry. Kids eat free at the restaurant, including breakfast!

No mush to complain about really, the check in staff were not the most helpful and looked a little unprofessional with crumpled shirts. but the restaurant staff made up for this as they were fab.

Modern and well presented. Staff friendly.

Sadly, they had a wedding on which meant our room was right next to the venue that hosted it. There was music until midnight which wasn’t great as we had to travel in the morning. Lack of communication when using booking.com chat. Asked for a cot twice without anyone answering, had to call to arrange. No cot mattress just some towels stacked up for my young daughter to lay on, not good.
