Absolutely lovely staff who are very attentive. The restaurant had great food and a nice atmosphere. The room had everything we needed - and was decorated really well. We loved that we could select from a full breakfast menu (including coffee/teas) and it was included in the price of our accommodation - as we had a strict budget for our trip this really helped. My husband and I would definitely recommend staying/eating here!

The room was a little on the small side (but this is expected of most UK accommodation), and we had the road facing room which was a tiny bit noisy at times - but overall this didn't bother us much, nothing that would stop us from recommending the place to other travellers.

This place is absolutely exceptional. We were greeted by the host and he was so friendly and helpful regarding our check in and booking the restaurant for our evening meal. Nothing too much trouble. The room was a good size, had lovely modern decoration and was spotlessly clean. Great en suite with bath and shower. Lovely comfy bed and nice and peaceful. Nice beer garden to sit in and relax . The food in the pub was also excellent. Best I have eaten in a long time. Great service too. A perfect stay before or after tunnel. We had an early start at 6.30 so we missed breakfast which also looked fantastic and if it was anything like our evening meal would have been excellent too. Next time we will book a later start. We will definitely be back. Many thanks.

Absolutely nothing! Please can you open up near us.

Nicely decorated, spacious clean and quiet room with plenty of amenities. The Bathroom was really good and well laid out. A private outdoor space with a small garden table and two chairs outside the front entrance was an unexpected bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Other than a pair of bar stools there was no seating other than the bed. The stools were repurposed, either as a luggage platform or somewhere to place garments. We would have appreciated a warning about the garden maintenance team starting their work at 8am prior to the weekend fathers day festivities.

We loved the underfloor heating in the lodge, check-in and communication was really easy, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious! The room had everything we needed!

Nothing with the property itself, everything was great. Maybe as it's located a little out in the sticks, arranging taxis to and from the train station was a little stressful and got expensive. I wonder if there could be interest in a "shuttle" service included with the booking in the future? Just an idea for them to do lifts to Folkestone or Dover stations, as that would take the stress out of arranging each time and help with a smoother stay.

Nice room with good facilities located in an out building within the pub grounds. A nice alternative to staying in Dover if you are catching a ferry. Arrived late so didn't get a chance to sample the pub food.

Telephoned the pub to advise them of my late arrival and early departure. I mentioned to the person I spoke to that leaving early would mean missing breakfast. At no point was I offered a breakfast tray as an alternative which I later found out was an option. Poor customer care.

Very spacious and well equipped family room, nicely decorated and really comfortable. The breakfast included in the price is well worth it. For just over £200 the room for 5 was super good value.

Just a bit noisy around the area (music in the village hall and music in the pub on a Saturday evening), but this did not go for much longer than past 11-11:30pm. Therefore not something to really complain about, although if this was a perfectly quiet spot it would have won an award for me.

Coming up a narrow street late at night, we were very positively surprised from our modern, cosy and beautiful hut number 3. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. We were very sorry that our stay was so short and we couldn't enjoy the beautiful pub except for breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lydden Bell! The cottage was really cosy and very modern. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had to leave in the morning before breakfast, but a tray with pastries, fruit, and cereal was brought to our room the evening before. The location is perfect for taking a ferry or train from Dover. We would highly recommend eating dinner at the pub - delicious food, great service, and beautiful garden! Would definitely return again next time we are in the area.

The internet was unfortunately very slow in the room and cell reception was very weak as well.

Good location for Dover ferry. quiet. on site food available. New accommodation looks good- now bathroom

The bed was v soft and the duvet was too heavy for summer. if the wall at bath was 10-15cm longer water would not come out over side during shower. Breakfast not available until after 9am and tray was pathetic so a no breakfast rate would be better. Food was okay, not v good.

Very friendly welcome, easiest check in. Room was in a side building, big enough and equipped with everything you needed. Though on a country road, very quiet at night. Food in the restaurant was great, breakfast as well. The Lydden Bell comes very very handy, when you arrive late from the Dover ferry.
