Location was perfect for attending a wedding at Inkershill Grange Farm (£12 taxi - 10mins). Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was really nice - cereal, yogurts, juice tea & coffee self service, hot breakfast cooked to order. Evening meal in the pub was lovely & reasonably priced. Room spacious, tea & coffee station, good long wardrobe. Decor a little tired but okay. Bathroom functional but basic. All round good for the price!

Room a little tired (No full length mirror anywhere - not something I'd usually look out for but when getting ready for a wedding, would have been useful in room or guest corridors.)

A warm welcome. Nice clean room and good clean shower, which looks recently refurbished. Well stocked tea, coffee etc. Quiet and restful inside the room. Not disturbed by other residents. Large car park. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. Ideal location for our evening event. Fascinating building. Love the history. Very pretty village.

The hotel is on a busy road so a little noisy late and early. However, the hotel can’t help that and we chose it for the location. It was not a problem for us but there are a lot of stairs which might pose a problem for a some guests.

The Manager, John, was very accommodating when we realized that the bed in room 7, was very uncomfortable for my partner, who has a bad back. John, moved us to room 14 which had the most comfortable bed in the hotel according to him. Though the bathroom was just down the hall from our room, the bed was super comfy, which made up for this fact. The staff were all very friendly, we ate dinner at the restaurant, simple fare but yummy! Served very quickly too. The included Breakfast was extensive and delicious and served with a smile ! Thanks Dukeries :)

Make all beds the same quality so that everyone can sleep as well as we did .

Nice full English breakfast was available and was cooked to order. Was not there for dinner so can't comment on that. The room was a bit outdated and could do with an upgrade but it was clean and was quite sufficient for what we needed. Our room towels and drinks were also replaced even though we hadn't requested it which was a bonus! We were attending the local 3 day music festival so the location was excellent for this!

A wonderful old lodge with a lot of historic details (for example the outside, the staircase to the rooms etc.) A nice good size room which was modern and clean. The food was good: we had dinner and breakfast the next morning.

We had a private bathroom. It was a bit weird that this bathroom was located a bit further down the hallway (so you had to leave your room to go to the bathroom or shower). It wasn't a big deal and all went well.

From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I was in the area to take part in a race with a very early Sunday morning start, the staff were happy to provide a large sandwich for me to take in the morning. The room was warm and very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. On our second morning, the lady who checked us in was smiling and even took time to chat about the race, it meant a lot that she remembered. The food here is excellent, both evening meals and the cooked breakfast were really tasty. John the manager is really friendly and helpful and did everything he could for us.

The only thing that we would have liked to be different was that our private bathroom was along the corridor, there was no way of changing this with the design of the building and it had no negative impact on our stay though.

The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome at check-in and comfortable during our stay. The manager in particular was very supportive when we had an issue with booking.com reservation. My daughter and I both felt at ease in the bar/ dining area. There was lots to choose from on the daytime menu and the food was tasty, freshly cooked and reasonably priced. There were plenty of options at breakfast for cereal/ yoghurt etc and a cooked breakfast if required. Complimentary shampoo etc in the bathroom and biscuits on the tea tray - always a good sign of that extra effort!

There were only Venetian-style blinds at the windows, not curtains and a floodlight just outside, so it was quite bright at night. For country folks like us, unused to streetlights at night, it was difficult to get to sleep.

The Dukeries is a traditional English Inn. It is not a Holiday Inn, so if that is what you want, this isn't the place for you. But if you want to experience a traditional inn / pub with a lovely staff, this is the place to stay when visiting Sherwood Forest The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Getting a full English breakfast as part of my lodging was a great way to start the day. It was also very walkable and the town was great

I stayed at the Dukeries on the hottest day in English recorded history. As a result, they were not serving food (the kitchen staff went down with heat exhaustion the prior day) and the pub closed early. Certainly not their fault but I would have enjoyed eating there Being the hottest day EVER, the room was a bit warm. It would have been nice to have had a fan. But again, it was the hottest day EVER.

The location and staff were lovely, especially Mark. Food was very nice. Both evening meal and breakfast. Perfect location for our visit to the local spa. A lovely old building.

Due to travelling with my daughter, we had a twin room. Having not slept in a single bed for many years, that was a little uncomfortable. Some areas need a little work and updating.

A former 18th century Coaching house with high ceilings and stained glass windows and other period features.Friendly staff good food great atmosphere in the bar area. Its located in an easy walk to the town and to sherwood forest.Very good value stay.Cooked breakfast made to order, good range of cereals and if you've to leave before breakfast they will provide sandwiches if requested night before.

My only niggle was that the toilet in my room was on a raised platform .I thought it was very strange at first.Later though I realised why. It's an old 18th century building with super high ceilings and period features. This means that some of the bedrooms are weird shapes as ensuite bathrooms didnt exist back then.I suspect the platform was for hiding plumbing as the shower is also raised and to allow them to best use the space. For the price though you get a very spacious room with a comfortable bed .
