The owners where very welcoming and friendly, The lady showed us around and told us where to get our breakfast and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. There two children where adorable also very polite 😊. The bed was absolutely to die for soft and comfortable. The room was very clean and tidy and a great Size and a lovely view out the window. area is very nice and quite. A very nice pub down the street with a local shop, also tesco and farmfoods around a 10 min walk. The bathroom very clean and tidy with a lovely shower. bus stop just down to road to catch 7 into town which is very helpful. The dinning room was stunning, with lots of variety of cereals for breakfast, toast and jam also fruit and fruit juice and yogurts. House is stunning and the owners take great pride in keeping it so nice will definitely be staying again in the future A lovely family which was lovely to stay with

There's absolutely nothing I didn't like

Relaxed host, very friendly approach. Good choice of breakfast 🍳 and superb friendly family running the business. My little girl made immediate friends with the host children, and owner of the business was extremely friendly and helpful, responsive to any queries and constantly checking if we're ok. Assuring the little girl of mine isn't any trouble though she was LOL and her son was taking her to their property for TV and play time. Gosh that is Peaceful Place indeed

Bit tight space for the food or drink I want to keep in the mini fridge in dining room:). Shower room for sharing for all rooms residents might get bit "overbooked". But didn't happen to me.

Great value for money for what is essentially budget accommodation, but it gets the basic so very right (which cannot always be said for others that might well have bells and whistles if you know what I mean).....Clean, comfortable, and an outstanding host which can often make or break a stay. I've stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels around the world that could learn a lot from the warm, genuine and friendly host at this accommodation. Would I return? Absolutely!

For the value of this stay there is nothing I have to add.

The breakfast was excellent, both the free "continental" breakfast (which I had one day) and the English cooked breakfast (which I had on leaving). The place is owned and run by a lovely family. Had I stayed longer, they would probably have happily let me use my laptop in the breakfast room. I slept well. The shower was an excellent manipulable one, not one of those awful thing stuck to the wall that you can't move around. Nicer than the hotel chains. The on-street parking was entirely without problems.

The choice of food/beverage, etc is what the family has, plus somewhat more. If you want a 5-star hotel, you can get it somewhere else for 5-star prices. Bring your own cocoa powder or exotic health foods (though had I asked for cocoa, I don't know that they wouldn't have had it for me - It merely wasn't on display).

The description Peaceful Place is a perfect description so accurate This exceptional guest house was a serene oasis behind tall shrubs is a hidden oasis Very welcoming bright warm calm We were greeted by a lovely friendly host & family who were caring but not intrusive at all during our stay This lovely large home has a very welcoming warm atmosphere it is a sparkling clean private very attractive house Our host & family were exceptional Very kindly ,so caring & very helpful to us Very approachable with a calm presence not at all intrusive The room we stayed in was lovely very bright & warm + a very comfortable large bed .We booked as a stop over en route home We were so glad we did so as we were so rested & energised the next day + our wonderful breakfast sustained us on our journey home Our stay here made us want to return again very soon as there are many nearby attractions it left a lasting impression as a very special place to stay (such a bargain far superior to any guest house we have stayed in better than any premier inn travel lodge in our opinion I would not hesitate to recommend Peaceful Place to everyone and will return when visiting the many places it is so handy for as well as a lovely place to rest relax and refresh

Everything surpassed our expectations staying here

Fantatic Host.Good roadside parking. Located in quiet residential area. Warm welcome from host. Lovely sized room. Comfy bed. Good tea & coffee making facilities. Small bottles of water provided. Cooked breakfast at £5 extra pp excellent. Great selection of breakfast items. Friendly pub The Ling Forest within easy walking distance. The house and rooms were spotless.

Not having an en suite room. ( This did not spoil our stay as the shared bathroom is spotless.)

Grest location. Friendly host. Good water pressure out of the shower. King sized bed. Nice continental breakfast and lovely hot breakfast for extra £5 each. The parking on the road out the front of the Property was easy. Plenty of it

The water hammer noise throughout the night (The sounds on knocking) as the heating was on. The bedroom tempature was also hard to regulate

The staff was very flexible (we had a late check-in and an early check out), caring and lovely! The place smelled amazing, and even though the accommodation was simple, it had everything that was needed and was spotless. Lovely breakfast, fresh and catered for vegetarian 😋 The location was great for us! We were driving from Newcastle to London, and it had great accesses!

Excellent breakfast (huge selection and lovely dining room) and a very attentive host with good communication. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. WiFi stable and sufficient to allow me to work late. The quiet location meant I got a good night's rest. I also really appreciated the provision of water for drinking.

The desk was a bit difficult work on, being quite small and quite full but this was a minor inconvenience.

This was our 3rd stay at this lovely little bnb. Excellent value for money, particularly now you can choose to pay extra for the full English or just have the included continental.

I have sleep apnoea so have to plug a cpap machine in. We found the sockets in the latest room we stayed in very awkward to reach but managed. No other issues.
