Location was good for us and what we needed it for. Lovely friendly greeting and helpful with info. Ability to eat in the adjoining restaurant was a bonus with a good choice of food and friendly and helpful service. Bathroom facilities were basic yet serviceable. It was a bonus to be in a room that faced the side of the building and to have free parking. Comfortable nights sleep. We were concerned that the old and heavy doors would mean being woken up by early risers but wasn’t really an issue. Nice basic breakfast (ie only fried egg available, not scrambled) with juice, cereals and bread available for toasting.

Effort has been made with the decoration in the room however was unfinished. Although no problem with the bedding, the bed divan bases were stained and the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed at the edges as there was thick dust, especially towards the back of the bed. The light pull in the bathroom was brown and in need of replacing.

Good communication with friendly and helpful hotel manager post-booking, regarding access requirements. We only required breakfast which was tasty and sufficient. The room was comfortable and had Wi-fi

The two juices available at breakfast seemed to be diluted as opposed to fresh. The shower cubicle could have done with some updating. Had it not been for the above two small points, I would have given the hotel an Excellent as opposed to Very Good rating. Booking.com did not appear to be able to allow questions to be asked e.g. Whether the room had an over-bath shower or a separate cubicle, until after the room was booked/reserved. As this was a "no cancellation period" booking, this might have proved a problem had the hotel manager not been able to change rooms for us during our conversation.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in room 210, and it was disclosed that this was their best room. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar area was very nicely decorated. We didn't eat here, but the food we saw looked very nice and looked like decent portions. There was also ample parking.

It wasn't that we didn't like anything. However, the entrance and stairway could do with a makeover. The stair carpet was a little run down. But this wouldn't stop us from staying here again or recommending to friends and family.

Room was large and comfortable, bathroom needs attention, mildew in shower, old shower bar still in situ, bathroom sink cabinet needs replacing as wood has become damp and has blown down the sides, needs modernising and floor needs replacing. Didn't like the wall covering in the shower, proper tiling would be much nicer. Breakfast was excellent, nice bright room, good quality food and pleasant staff who checked on you regularly.

TV system was something we have not come across ROKU TV, difficult to navigate and we could not get channels. Asked for someone to come and help but due to the restaurant being so busy, no one came up to our room. A proper written instruction guide would be very useful in the room and also a guest information folder in the room for local attractions, bus services, as it is on a main bus route, would, I think be very helpful.

Excellent hotel! Young female traveller here! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean and professional looking with a warm feeling to it. The restaurant and bar was lovely, big enough to relax in and the food was excellent! My single hotel room was cute and clean, perfect for a solo traveller. The bedding was fresh and I had lot of teas and coffees to drink whilst in my hotel room. The facilities were very good. Kettle, hairdryer and wardrobe, drawers, full length mirror. The photos provided are just what the hotel looks like in real life. Shout out to the lovely lady who works in the hotel. She covers the reception and breakfast bar in the morning. She was so friendly and lovely and couldn’t do enough to help me. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable :)

Nothing negative to say.

Wow wow wow is all I can say about the food in the restaurant it has to have been the best Turkish food I have ever had outside of turkey. The cheese cake is by far the best ever, don't know how the restaurant wasn't full. the staff were lovely, felt like nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable but unfortunately only 2 plug sockets and that was for the TV and kettle. 30 min walk into the center but was less than £6 in a taxi to get back. The breakfast was ok, no choice just 1 option but the bacon was very good quality.

Having an owner manager, brings a service not often found.  Having a separate beautiful breakfast room, plus a  separate bar restaurant, was another big plus. As was the premium larger on draft. To top all that, the reasonably priced food was excellent, as was the parking provision...

Don’t be deterred by the worn stair carpet, it has to sustain very heavy footfall, due the layout of the property. The rooms are spotless, you would struggle to find a cleaner property...  I will certainly return..

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and pleasant. The food was very well cooked. The bed was comfortable. Good value, would stay again.

A little more attention to detail would help. There was no bathmat provided and not enough milk compared to the tea and coffee in the room. The cooked breakfast was well cooked, like the food in the restaurant, but choice was limited, we could have a fried egg but not a poached one. The orange drink at breakfast is some sort of cordial and adds nothing.

Really liked the overall look and feel of the establishment. The beds were super comfy, the staff were exceptional who went above and beyond. The breakfast was wonderful with a lovely selection of cereals and juices

There was a small amount of black mold in the showers sealant, but this was the only thing really One of the juices was leaking onto the table whilst we were having breakfast which was unfortunate. The taps on the juices didn't seem to close properly. However everything was great as I say

All staff were outstanding and treated myself and my wife like family. In particular the owner Kemal and Monica on the reception could not do enough to ensure our stay was excellent and all expectations met and mostly exceeded. The cooked breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was a good standard. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and tea and coffee was provided. Also of note, the newly refurbished bar was very nice, and a glass of wine and a pint of beer was actually cheaper than a nearby local pub. I will definitely book again when I return to Mansfield.

The only minor issue , which I was aware of when booking was that the Restaurant was being refurbished and was not due to open fully until the week following our visit. There was a limited Pasta menu available, but the disappointment was that I wasn't there a week later to dine in the new restaurant.
