The location was great for walking to the destinations we had planned. There is no elevator so plan on hauling any luggage you bring up a spiral staircase. The room was carefully appointed with all space utilized well. The bed was luxuriously large and comfortable. Beautiful city views from our top floor room.

Unfortunately the phone with the reservation info was broken so we did not get the check in information. I did expect there to be staff manning a desk at the location but it is more like an airbnb with self check in. We had to ask the staff at the downstairs restaurant for assistance getting inside because no one answered the hotel number when we called for help. All that being said, everything turned out fine, it was just disappointing to have no point of contact for assistance.

The room we stayed in was beautiful with stunning views of Glasgow and the Necropolis. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and although I didn't use it, I loved the free standing bath tub. The room was furnished to a high specification and was immaculately clean.

There was a bit of confusion on arrival as there was no one there and the pin code I'd been given didn't work to open the door. The phone number given went to voicemail and the box was full so I was unable to leave a message. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful though and the hotel contacted me later via text to make sure everything was okay.

Thought I'd already reviewed this other day. We loved the room. Visited for the weekend as concert at Barrowlands. Beautiful room and bathroom, very clean and fab views to the Necropolis. We visited here Sunday morning and later on in the day walked into Glasgow shops etc, took 15 mins. Husband prefers a cooked breakfast when we go away but he thoroughly enjoyed the healthier option that Laura served. Couldn't find any coffee shops nearby but did find a fab police box after visiting Necropolis, for takeaway coffee and a great chat to the guy who gave us a history lesson.

Only the stairs as had real bother going up and down as spiral stairs. But it's a fab old building. Could have managed no bother 5 years ago but difficult now unfortunately.

Located in a pleasant part of the city with a 15 minute walk to the Merchant restaurants. We were fortunate to be upgraded to room 1 which had a lovely large and comfortable bed, dual aspect windows and big walk in shower. The tea and coffee facilities provided an excellent choice with biscuits. We enjoyed a large bowl of fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, orange juice and toast for breakfast.

We would have liked to have been told about Glasgow's low emissions zone so that we could have avoided a fixed penalty notice for driving a non electric car in the city. Also, the £1 per hour parking charge advertised, does not exist. It is free to park on the adjacent street from 6pm to 8am but then it is £3 per hour for a maximum of 3 hours. There is cheaper parking in a multi storey on Duke Street apparently, but the link we were sent didn't work on our phones.

The host's attentiveness made me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. Their sincere politeness and desire to help with any questions or needs were genuinely admirable. The room itself was a haven of comfort and cleanliness. Immaculately kept, it showcased a level of cleanliness that is rare to find. The interior design of the room was tastefully done, reflecting a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and traditional charm. The thoughtful decoration choices created a cosy ambience that made me feel right at home. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast. The variety of fresh fruits, the delectable Greek yoghurt, and the mouthwatering sourdough bread made for a perfect start to the day. The hotel's attention to using high-quality, fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. It was a breakfast experience that I looked forward to each morning of my stay.

I woke in the morning to the cathedral outside the window. And the cemetery in the other. Every where was spotless clean. The breakfast was made fresh, from fresh ingredients. And the owner was absolutely beautiful. They also have an incredible restaurant attached, although we never got to visit theirs is a regret as the smells where something else. If you want clean comfort with beautiful views and food then this is your place. We parked in duke street in the car park from 6pm till 12 the following day. Which only cost £5. We’ll certainly be back.

It was in a perfect location, 10 minutes walk away from the station but not directly in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The room was cosy, which made good use of the space and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

The breakfast had a limited choice which if you are not a fussy eater, would be quite appetising and enjoyable. Given this, the hotel were very accommodating and offered alternatives that were not on the menu to meet the desires of the guest.

The hotel was lovely, The staff were extremely helpful when I asked if it was possible to have a fridge in the room

From the front door to our room there were 2 flights of stairs and to go to have breakfast it was actually 3 flights of stairs, there wasn't a lift, also at the time of booking it said Bed and Breakfast but this was only a Continental Breakfast and not a cooked breakfast, and as I have mobility issues we never partook of the breakfast as the stairs were to much for me, so we ate breakfast out

Of the six places we stayed during our honeymoon, this was one of our favorites! We chose to stay in The Loft, and we loved the view and cozy space (still larger than a hotel room). Laura was a fantastic host and provided the best breakfast we had on our trip (be sure to sign up for this!). Check-in was easy and it was just steps from the cathedral, which is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this space with us!

If you choose the Loft there are a decent amount of spiral stairs to climb, so if you have large bags keep this in mind. We ended up keeping our bags in our rental car and packing a smaller overnight bag for this stay (we were only here for one night).
